For Casomat's second release we're extremely happy to welcome Berlin duo Man & Wife to the label, who contribute two diverse originals served together with a remix by Johannes Klingebiel.

Man & Wife, originally from England, have spent the last 7 years in the Techno-Hauptstadt, not only honing their production skills but also developing their musical tastes, drawing in influences from all over the electronic spectrum. They describe their sound as "fundustrial dischno" and it's not hard to see why when you hear their varied productions.

'Blonde' is an understated four-to-the-floor number, sitting on the border between house &techno and elegantly pairing soul & melody with raw & almost industrial sounding drums. An interesting combination which bridges the gap between styles not normally heard together.

Stepping up to rework 'Blonde' is Johannes Klingebiel, whose recent releases include a 12" on Tim Sweeney's Beats In Space and an LP on his own 'ancient future now' imprint. He lays a garage-influenced groove and a bouncy bassline under the main arp from the original, with plenty of lush reverbs, spacey delays and tasteful distortion to boot.

'Sort Kaffe' — meaning black coffee in danish — is a deeper thing, laced with jungle drums and frothy synths, coiling incense spelling out wicked things in the moonlight.

Why do we tell stories? 

We breathe, we eat, we sleep. We seek connection. These are our basic human needs. 

But there is one more need we all share, and it centres on stories. All across the world, stories are being recounted everywhere, in every imaginable way, at any given time. For telling stories is at the very essence of what it is to be human. 

The universe of stories can be broken down into seven basic plots which underlie all stories ever told. Recognising these patterns is the gateway to unravelling the universal symbolic language from which all storytelling is spun. 

With 'Comedia', Chapter 24 returns with seven stories in sound collected from artists across the world to bring these themes to life. 

This latest edition heralds the arrival of a range of new artists to Chapter 24. Polymath Londoner Ben Gomori rubs shoulders with Athenian Connaisseur and Objektivity artist Thodoris Triantafillou. They are joined by up-and-coming Italian DJ and producer Ivory, and a tribal collaboration between Kapibara and SHEFFÈ, reprising Kurt Baggaley’s 'Spiral'.

Manchester-based Kerouac completes the set of new arrivals, swelling the ranks with the powerful 'SO.WE.TO'. Meanwhile, label mainstays VVerses and Luis Leon bring their own contributions to a high quality compilation with their typically organic and groove-oriented sounds. 

They say that there are only seven basic plots but a thousand different stories. 

And so, as the storyteller utters that age old, magical phrase "Once upon a time...", let yourself be carried away…

Nothing Is Real welcome Low Manuel for the 6th release of the label. 

Low Manuel is a real music lover born in Italy in the 90’s.  His music vision is the expression of his character, introspective, dark and sophisticated.
His style is a mixture of indie electronic but also Techno and his compositions transmit emotions, influenced by the Stars and the Marine World. The 'Scourge Ep' explores new musical shades, hinting at moments of new wave through a lens of psychedelia.
The title track is a trip with an incredibly catchy rhythmic pattern and a strong bassline, while 'The Room’ has a ravey hypnotic and powerful touch.
The Italian duo Margot remix ’The Scourge’ delivering a strong version with their typical synth-driven kraut-techno style adding insane beats, fizzing synths and peaking chords for optimal dancefloor effect. The fresh remixes keep on coming from Get Physical, this time with a new take on a single by Stereo.type feat. Felix Raphael that was originally released on the imprint's latest Words Don’t Come Easy compilation. Vital versions come from label associates old and new including Ryan Murgatroyd, Bebetta & Cioz and T.M.A..


Bebetta & Cioz have been cooking up the goods together for a while now on labels like Monaberry. Here they lock you in a trance with their spellbinding keys and synths. Softly spoken vocals add to the alluring effect and make this house music as deep as it is sensitive. The excellent original version is a deep yet bumping house cut with melodic bass and curious synths that bring a playful sense of colour. It exudes real human warmth from Felix Raphael’s vocals and is perfectly steamy.


T.M.A is a German duo that mix organic drums and guitars and powerful basslines. Their invigorating remix is a superbly slow burning affair with rumbling synth loops and expansive pads. Forever trapping you in the elongated groove, it’s a tender one for intimate dance floors and late night sessions. Last of all is Get Physical’s core artist Ryan Murgatroyd, who combines the African rhythms of his Cape Town home with super electronic stylings. And that is the case here as he layers in rich xylophone melodies, rasping synths and loose-limbed rhythms that will warm through any floor.

Premiere: Floyd Lavine & David Mayer - Xi (Tunnelvisions Remix) [Connected]

More than ten years in the biz and still young of age is Krink, our latest addition to the Upon.You Records family. Known for his unique, versatile production style the Berlin-based producer has built up a back catalogue with releases and remixes on labels like Hold Your Ground, URSL and Form Resonance amongst others over the past decade, has travelled the world as a DJ, awing audiences whenever he's on the decks – or performing live.

With the opening title track „It Goes On“ we see Krink providing a deep, spatial and spaced out late night banger both informed by MinimalHouse and DubTechno, later crossing over into dark'ish Techno territories before beautiful, panoramic string arrangements transfer crowds into uplifting, overwhelmingly emotional (Neo)Trance-infused realms. This is a masterpiece in terms of electronic storytelling.

Following up is „Organ“, a tune amalgamating more widescreen athmospheres and the traditional craft of raw, unprocessed German MinimalHouse graced by a deep low-end pump, percussive main motif and clean, hyperfuturistic filter abuse for lovers of a style once defined as Intelligent Techno somewhen in the 90s.

Furthermore „Dawn“ presents a slightly darker, more muscular studio approach to Krink's work, aiming at heaving, fever'ish Techno floors in hypnotrance with detailed percussion elements and finally providing ultimate relief through a warm, friendly, all embracing combination of organic vintage bass and dreamy, masterly crafted melodic arrangements.

Finally „Nano“ brings forth a solid, bass-heavy TechHouse foundation for a start only to introduce the most tender piano pads throughout the first breakdown, building things up harking back to the clean sci-fi filters of „Organ“ whilst intricate, interweaving melodies provide a floating, hovering vehicle for punters  souls to drift off into a timeless nirvana of electronic pulses and pure sound.
