I love it!

How many cats do you have? Disjointed fun

This track is inspired by the recent protests in Istanbul and other parts of Turkey. We hope to conjure up an image of a peaceful, controlled sit in that turned into chaos due to  heavy handed, police intervention. 

Charlotte (one half of 55 BPM) was there with friends playing trumpet with the protest band. 

Everyone around the world should have the right to peaceful protest. In most democratic societies it is taken for granted. Respect to all who showed resolute solidarity in the face of adversity.

A big thanks to Youth Club for letting us cover their song, 'Breathe' from their brilliant 'Brothers EP' https://soundcloud.com/weareyouthclub/sets/brothers-ep

We have really enjoyed creating something so different in style and hope you like what we have done. All in all, we worked on the track for about 5 weeks, picking out riffs and themes and fusing our style into them. Most importantly, we wanted to create a cover that was cinematic in style, whilst retaining an authentic feel by using different combinations of our own instruments.

We would love to hear your feedback and always appreciate it when listeners of our tracks take the time to leave a comment.

What can I say about this remix? One of my favourite songs from 2013 :)

Well, it was inspired from an absolutely beautiful original from my two good friends at https://soundcloud.com/55-bpm

As soon as I heard the melodies unfold, I was absorbed and the minimal singing really hit me hard as I reflected back on the times I had been let down. 

So I wanted to put a spin on it and contribute to their song and came up with this dnb remix that I hope you will enjoy! I tried to keep it as true to the original!
