This perception beyond the “all or nothing” is what connected Ana Bogatinovska and Jovana Gjorgievska. At first strangers, the two met at a music festival in their beautiful native country of Macedonia. After a long discussion about musical matters, they decided to collaborate on a project to connect their somewhat different, but similar taste in electronic music.

Since then, their melancholic, delicate and hypnotic sounds use 'binary thinking' as a motor to press on forward to a third term of a higher category that represents a transcending reconciliation or unity: Where thesis and antithesis are always harnessed to yield a synthesis. Where seemingly opposite or contrary forces turn out to actually be complementary.

With endlessly evolving soundscapes of infinite spirals, pulsating bassline-heaviness and unforeseeable twists Binary Thoughts are turning this 5th edition of ‘Circulating Waves’ into an unforgettable session of deep hypnosis!

Adelia is a techno artist based in Prague where she runs a lot of her own events. She has also been invited for many gigs in Slovakia amongst other regions. Currently residing in Spain, she has also been involved in video streaming SubRadio Barcelona. During the pandemic last year, Adelia turned her focus on her mixes and channeled her passion by contributing to renowned podcasts such as Oslated, Fur:ther Sessions, Prior Act, Bahn Barcelona, KVLTÖ and many more. We met Phanom on the dancefloor after she played the illustrious C12 space in Brussels where she’s currently holding a residency. When we arrived, her set pulled us right in and set the tone for what was to become a memorable night accompanied by performances from Adiel and Anthony Linell.

While reminiscing on this trip we are so happy to have her on for the 107th podcast of the series. With a broad past of playing guitar and singing, the freedom experienced at Belgium parties led her right into the electronic territory at which she embraced the energy of drum ’n bass and techno.

This mix showcases the latter and her inherent taste for spellbinding electronics. Keep an eye out for Phanom both online and offline as C12 is opening up again later this month.

@johnplazamusic - DJ/producer from Chile, owner of Linderluft Records . his taste for the music begin in 2002 when he was part of a thrash metal band and they created some tracks. then he listen other styles like Drum and Bass. Electro House, Dubstep, Trance. In 2016 his taste for electronic music and partys was stronger every time more.

About electronic music he's been producing his own tracks for the last 3 years. His style is built around blending active percussions with minimal ambient sounds & enveloping hypnotic passages. Through this combination he aims to create a trip both mental & physical. He has releases on diverse labels around the world, such as Blackline, Ancestral Process, Dorian, Fur:ther Sessions, BAHN, System Revival, Postdynamic, Nferee, SpaceTextures, etc.
