Jim Robinson and Mark Butler are both Army veterans, and the founding guitarists of the ‘90’s metal band Spectre.   Today they are professionals who spend their limited free time collaborating on new music from their respective homes in the Midwest and the Lone Star State.  Keystone Studios is their online playground, an ideal virtual location to exchange their ideas and create inspiring and positive-vibe metal music.   No doom and gloom here - just high octane tunage. I would summarize my music as Strum & Bass.
A fusion of bass music and guitar music.

My producing & recording journey started in 2002. Around that time I was already playing live gigs as a rapper & singer in a band and always felt at home on stage, which comes to no surprise as the child of a professional musician. I just grew up improvising on instruments and studio equipment, so singing, rapping - especially freestyle - and electronic music production just came naturally to me.

Cherished Ghosts is an progressive metal music project out of Nashville, TN.  One of the good things about a pandemic that forces one to shelter in place is that it provides the time and space for creativity to spawn.  Cherished Ghosts pulls inspiration from fear, transformation, and a desire to channel lives gamut of emotions through creativity.  Artistic inspiration was pulled from genre bending artists such as Animals as Leaders, Plini, Periphery, Their Dogs Were Astronauts, Loathe and Meshuggah.
