The friends were lying side by side, immersed in the magic of the night sky. With each sip of wine, the stars grew brighter, mesmerising them more and more. The Milky Way, like a sparkling river, crossed the entire sky, creating a sense of infinity. Fireflies fluttered around, and their soft, flickering light made things particularly enchanting and mysterious.

— Can you believe that in 1990, Voyager 1 took a picture of our planet called "The Pale Blue Dot"? Everyone we know and love has lived on this little speck in the vastness of space. It makes you realise how small we are in the universe.
— That sounds beautiful and a little sad, Plate.
— But there's more to it. On board, it's carrying a Golden Record of Earth music, from Bach to Chuck Berry. What a message for the aliens!
— Yeah. Music will indeed tell them more about us than words can.

Chippy Chasers is an illustrated electronic label and record store from The Hague, promoting a wide range of house sounds. Founded in 2023, the project blends music, storytelling, and visual identity into one continuous experience.

The stories unfold in the present — through the lives of Needle and Plate, two friends who simply can’t imagine life without music. Female selectivity and male determination take them across Europe’s nightclubs, record shops, and creative spaces — all in search of that perfect moment the dance genre has to offer.
