Command Control is a queer DJ and producer based in London. He Holds residencies on both Vandelay and Komrad radio which regularly showcase an array of sonic flavours from his vast collection. 2024 sees Command Control take a step up, launching his debut ep in Q1 packed with uplifting dubby cuts.

Some words from Command Control:
Myself and Ben (April) first connected over our love of techno obscurities. Musically this mix is an homage to this, with lots of crusty cuts I’ve found over the years trawling through discogs and Juno back catalogues. In true crate digger spirit, this mix is 100% wax focussed, something which I haven’t released before.

A true driving force both within and beyond the South-American techno ecosystem, Zisko graces us with two hours of clinically laid down big-room punch and genre-unbound, off-kilter rhythms on steroid. Championing a sound both highly intense and surgically precise, the Argentinian DJ and producer has us surfing a rogue wave of frenzied analogue funk, sci-fi-informed industrial pound and proto-electroid impulsions. Not one for the faint-hearted, Zisko’s mix is galloping techno at its most eruptively driving and merciless, bound for heavy-duty, mid-set apexes and hi-impact mosh pits down the basement. Total smasher beware, this one’s cut from the heaviest alloy.

We're back for the #57th episode of our Schimmer podcast series with Sev Dah.

Berlin, Detroit, Birmingham and, of course, Sarajevo.
Bosnian-built and -bred Sev Dah may be a Swedish expat, but the Balkan blackness clings strongly to the bleak percussions and rigidly uneasy synthetics that unwillingly fuse into his strongly individual take on techno. Authentically purveying the pulsations of the nakedly throbbing and ugly world, far away from Starbucks and H&M. 


Signed to respected labels such as Random Island, Mote-Evolver and Kaiser's KSR, he quickly gnawed his way into the scene’s core of DJs and producers. Sev is even managing new projects on his own label Proletarijat since 2016. Like a rabid mongrel, since 1998 he has been chewing and belching new bastard beats that are aching to scream out. Consequently there’s a steaming and steady stream of vinyl releases coming.


With influences ranging from Stigmata and Mills to Master Reese and Petar Dundov, Sev Dah is a versatile but headstrong DJ that can gently ease a thumb in at midnight or fervently thrust it down the hatch at peak time.

I’ve always loved imperfections. They make me feel more connected to whatever it is. Could be a faded polaroid with dust on it, a single cloud in an otherwise clear sky, or a clap that sounds different each time it plays. There’s something about the unpredictability, the raw edges, that makes things feel more real. Especially in music, that’s what draws me in. So when Upperberry reached out, it felt like the right moment to gather tracks that carry that same imperfect energy and to explore my own path through sound, drifting from dub into house.
