About this edit :
This past year I’ve fallen in love with some old musica andina from Uruguay, including the famous duos Los Olimareños and Los Hacheros.  This beautiful song with its haunting harmonies lodged itself in my head immediately…I gave it a slow house revision with cumbia percussion and added some shimmering synths to complement the original strings.

About @yemanjo :
Yemanjo’s sound is a unique fusion of downtempo and organic house beats with traditional sounds from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. The previous five years have seen Yemanjo touring the world while releasing prolifically with top labels in the genre such as Cosmic Awakenings and Cafe de Anatolia, and a full-length album for Wonderwheel Recordings is in the pipeline for Spring 2024.

In performance, Yemanjo combines his original music with live singing in many languages, trumpet, percussion and other instruments in an electro-acoustic live set. Also providing hybrid DJ sets with live instrumentation, Yemanjo brings a refreshing sonic diversity and decades of experience as a dynamic live performer and frontman.

"For this mix, I fully dedicated myself to the cold days in December & January to make it as smooth and cozy as possible. A bit less funk, but more hip-hop and slow house elements from my youth, combined with some (re)fresh(ed) oldies. I've always wanted to play many of these tracks, but the opportunity hasn't risen yet.

Nach den Prinzipien 
'Mangel und Fülle' - 'Licht und Schatten' - 'Glaube und Zweifel' 
- 'Chaos und Ordnung' pfeffer ich euch bald weitere Tracks dieser Konzeptreihe um die Ohren.

Im Snippet befinden sich, neben Parts der nächsten drei Tracks meines kommenden Albums, Samples aus  'Sensationell' von Dendemanns 'Die Pfütze des Eisbergs' sowie 'Interview' von Sidos Album 'Maske'. Diese beiden Alben haben mir das Tor zum Hip-Hop und deutschem Rap gezeigt und mich zutiefst inspiriert.
Zudem sind Cuts von Alan Stivells 'Olympia Concert (Live)' und ein Piece des grandiosen hawaiianischen Reggaemusikers 'O-Shen' integriert. 

Am Freitag, 22.03 released mit "Vergangenheit und Zukunft" mein nächstes Prinzip.
