I started with music when I was 6 or 7 years of age. Since then I have learned to play piano and some guitar. I got interested in Electronic music the first time I listened to Jean Michel Jarre. To be more accurate I got interested the first time when I was 7 or 8 years, when on the TV there was this science program called Cosmos and there was Vangelis. I loved the song from Cosmos. I later got introduced to Jarre, Depeche Mode, Propaganda, YMO, Cocteau Twins, Yello, David Sylvian and Andreas Vollenweider. I also got introduced to other music like Rap, HipHop, DOSpop, Funk, Jazz and classical. All made an impact on how I make music. I started to compose in an early age but lacked the equipment to really unfold myself. But in later years all got cheaper and more accessible so in the end I had my on studio and equipment to do all my composing and producing of music.

Jeg begynte med musikk da jeg var 6 eller 7 år gammel. Siden da har jeg lært å spille piano og litt gitar. Jeg ble interessert i elektronisk musikk første gang jeg lyttet til Jean Michel Jarre. For å være mer nøyaktig ble jeg interessert første gang da jeg var 7 eller 8 år, på TV var det det et vitenskapsprogram kalt Cosmos og der hørt jeg Vangelis. Jeg elsket sangen fra Cosmos. Jeg ble senere introdusert til Jarre, Depeche Mode, Propaganda, YMO, Cocteau Twins, Yello, David Sylvian og Andreas Vollenweider. Jeg ble også introdusert til annen musikk som Rap, HipHop, DOSpop, Funk, Jazz og klassisk. Alt hadde en innvirkning på hvordan jeg lager musikk. Jeg begynte å komponere i tidlig alder, men manglet utstyret til å virkelig utfolde meg selv. Men i senere år alt ble billigere og mer tilgjengelig så til slutt hadde jeg mitt eget studio og utstyr for å gjøre all komponering og produksjon av musikk.

Based in Norway, Draum is a distinctive and hardworking composer and lyricist who uses both electronic sounds and organic samples to create compelling scores. While he has strong roots in the Hard Rock and Industrial genres, his original music blends synth soundscapes, raw guitars, electronic beats, and beautiful sound design in a very cohesive way. Draum's work is also influenced by the heartfelt sounds of both his hometown and the big city.
