Sebastian Mullaert (aka Minilogue) - Dance thru Shadowed Structures Mix

15 min “generative” ambient drone. Recorded live with ELEKTRON Syntakt only. There is nothing special here. 10 tracks with different probabilities. FX track with LFO that modulates AMP DRIVE + REV DEC. Fade-in and fade-out some tracks during live recording. Only one chord machine. Otherwise only long tones and noise + crackling (analog).

Prepare yourself for something special with an original composition created by coatshek. A hypnotic, continuous music piece created just for the Sound Baths, @coatshek aka Sheki, layers synths, drum machines, and live guitar playing to whip the crowd into a frenzy. Once upon a time (the 1970s) bathhouses were more than just a place to hook up. Some had discos, full gyms, restaurants, the works. As some of you may know, Bette Midler got her start in the cabaret room at the Continental Baths with Barry Manilow playing piano for her. Sheki, quite a sturdy and hirsute block of man, may not be considered the natural successor to the Divine Ms. M, but he certainly brings a new dimension to the bathhouse with this live set that is engineered to take you into sensory overload.

Luigi Tozzi is an Italian DJ, live act and producer known for his atmospheric and immersive performances. 
He is an adroit manipulator of sounds, reflected in his productions that fall into the deeper, atmospheric areas of electronic music. They are impactful without applying force, evoking a cocoon-like sento in its listeners. 
Tozzi found his artistic home on labels like the Swedish Hypnus Records or Non-Series, where he regularly releases. 
Since his first release on Hypnus in 2014, he contributed numerous times to their catalogue and label showcases. 
His major project on the label is the "Deep Blue" album trilogy released in 2014, 2016, and 2021. 
It draws inspiration from a profound fascination with the oceanic world, a recurring theme in both Tozzi’s life and work. 
In 2023, an especially adapted ambient version of “Deep Blue” premiered in London. Tozzi's releases on Non-Series, like “Tender is the Night” (2019), “Almost Blue” (2021), and “Spiral” (2023), emphasize distinct sound elements and focus on techno with a minimalist aesthetic.

Furthermore, he contributed to a variety of labels like Mental Modern, OUTIS Music and Calipso.

Besides his work as a Live Act, DJ, and producer, Tozzi is involved in sound designs for art and film projects and is known for collaborations with other musicians and artists.

The closing set at the Varden stage is always a special time; Filled with excitement, tears, hugs, and exhaustion, it marks the end of four incredible days at Monument Festival.

This year Japanese maestro Wata Igarashi stepped up and delivered a legendary closing set. A psychedelic vortex of sound thundered across the forest as the dance floor was illuminated in radiant colors and fog, with smiling faces and dancing bodies all around. 

So find your best headphones or sit down in front of your speakers, turn it up, and time travel back to the Forgotten Valley. Guided by our friend, Wata Igarashi. Enjoy.

Monument Festival 2024 : Wata Igarashi

Very first collaboration between Peter Van Hoesen & Wata Igarashi, recorded live at The Observatory in Vietnam.

We are happy to share the recording from Night Sea's performance at Endzeit in San Francisco.

Night Sea provided us with some words to go alongside the session -

After experiencing the refined vision of psychedelic dancefloor music curated by the team at Mostra Barcelona, we knew that the next direction for us was to integrate all the inspiration we gathered there into our own music. During that same time frame, our friends at Endzeit approached us about collaborating on a show with the legendary Neel in our hometown of Oakland, California. 

Their event series has reignited our love for techno here in the SF Bay Area, crafting a refined and immersive experience with rigorous attention to sound, lighting, space design, and musical programming. On July 20th 2024, what transpired was a hazy dancefloor in a concrete den, brought to life by entranced dancers and a tightly tuned custom sound system from Neptune Audio. 

Using a mix of analog hardware and digital tools, we improvised our way through the arrangement building on the energy of the crowd. 

The recording here is a studio version of that material, created with the MNMT Live podcast in mind. Some moments might sound vaguely familiar, taking stems from our Silent Season album *Still* and remixing them into higher tempos. The majority of this set, however, is made of new compositions exploring an energized view into the hypnotic and meditative style we’ve crafted over the last 8 years together. Expect to see some of this material released via the upcoming Endzeit label later this year. Our immense gratitude to MNMT, Endzeit, Neel, Neptune Audio, Subset Visuals, and our friends who created this opportunity for us. Warm wishes to our listeners from California!
