We are Filthy Dukes. We were DJs, now we are a band and DJs and also producers. It was just Olly and Tim playing records, it sometimes still is in fact, then we started to work with Mark to make music.
    
    We have made a debut album, Nonsense In The Dark that's out right now. We have also released some singles and done a bunch of remixes so keep an ear and eye out because they're all rather splendid. In fact you can listen to some of our music right here!
    
    We run a club night called Kill Em All that has been going for 5 years, this particular disco is held at Fabric. We have had guests like Justice, Erol Alkan, Bloc Party, Crystal Castles, Late Of The Pier, Chemical Brothers, James Murphy, Jackson & His Computer Band, Zombie Nation, Schinichi Osawa, Brodinski & Simian Mobile Disco. It's a good party.
    
    Our album, like most personal art forms is a result of our influences, these range from Tangerine Dream to Hot Chip, Can to SMD, Roxy Music to Soulwax, Hip Hop to Krautrock. You know, a bit of old stuff and a bit of modern, plus loads of other things it would take too long to list. We have worked with a collection of artists who we really like and most of them have also played Kill Em All: Samuel Dust from Late Of The Pier, Plastic Little, Brandon Curtis from Secret Machines, Tommy Sparks, frYars, Orlando from The Maccabees, Foreign Islands, To My Boy and Mauro Remiddi from Sunny Day Sets Fire. It a genre-melting electro dance album with an indie heartbeat.
    
    We have a mixing desk which was made and used by Conny Plank, he was possibly the most important German producer ever, and had a great beard. We also have a ton of old synths which we have used to make this album, Roland Juno 60, Arp 2600, Moog Voyager, Roland Sh101 plus loads of pedals, distortion units and other geeky stuff.
    
    Ok I reckon that's it for now, we are very excited about our album it took us ages but we love it and hope you do too.

After releasing a critically acclaimed album and touring the world as a live act the Filthy Dukes then went underground. Disenchanted with the music scene they decided to go back to their roots as record collectors, thirsty to reignite their passion for house & techno. 
 
On a quest to discover the best dance floors, record shops and secret parties they have spent the last year creating a new sound. 

Taking inspiration from the music they discovered and having no regard for genre or labels a new chapter has began. Smarter, more honest and more exciting.

Filthy Dukes also released Beat The Break on the new 'Southern Fried and Tested' compilation with support from Annie Mac, Rob Da Bank, Brodinski, Boy 8 Bit to name a few. 

They have recently produced remixes for The 2 Bears, Justin Robertson and Daniel Avery new single on Gomma, James Welsh on the 'join Our Club' label and Native Tounge.

Filthy Dukes are first and foremost djs who know how to work any dancefloor, with huge knowledge and vast record collections, their left field house and techno sets have been igniting dancefloors in Europe's most discerning clubs for years.

Regarded upon his 2006 arrival as a promising beatmaker looming in the shadows of J Dilla, Madlib, waterfalls and Dabrye, Steven Ellison -- known as Flying Lotus -- nullified all comparisons only two years later with Los Angeles. On that album, his first of five for the Warp label, Ellison distilled a uniquely crisp, spasmodic, and heady sound with elements of hip-hop, avant-garde jazz, IDM, and dubstep. While the abovementioned producers fueled Ellison, he had also been excited as a youngster by the '90s West Coast rap classics that combined programming and live instrumentation. His sound continued to develop as he put his own twist on the approach, recording with a crop of jazz musicians including the indispensable likes of bassist Thundercat and strings master Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. This process began with the turbulent 2010 set Cosmogramma and peaked in terms of acclaim in 2014 with You're Dead!, which crashed the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 and spawned the Kendrick Lamar collaboration "Never Catch Me," a Grammy nominee for Best Dance Recording. Ellison devoted a few years to various forms of film work and the operation of his revered Brainfeeder label, and returned in 2019 with Flamagra, his second consecutive album to top Billboard's Dance/Electronic chart.
