Fresh off Ruby Skye in San Francisco and USC's massive Paradiso Festival in Washington last week, Christopher Lawrence is gearing up to head to Tahoe, New York and Canada for Motion Notion festival. Summer is kicking off and with it comes a slamming new episode of Rush Hour!

This months guest mix comes from some of Christopher's favorite producers Hypnocoustics which is a partnership project between Joe Studt and Benjamin Wood, two producers from London who have been making electronic music since 2004. Joe & Ben share a diverse musical background; ranging from psychedelic rock/stoner bands and Djing, through to modern music production and classical training. 

Over the last two years, Hypnocoustics have been developing a deep and immersive morning sound packed with hypnotic soundscapes, mesmeric textures, driving percussion and intricate musical arrangements. Performing using a combination of synth work, Ableton performance and sample manipulation, the Hypnocoustics live act is being regularly developed and road tested at some of the best parties on the circuit.

To date, Hypnocoustics have shared line-ups and stages with artists including Man with No Name, Tristan, Liquid Ross, Mr Peculiar, Andromeda, Vibrasphere, Silicon Sound, Tron, Flooting Grooves and many others; as well as rocking dancefloors in the UK, Greece, Germany, Lithuania, Switzerland and France.

Gearing up for Fleming & Lawrence’s debut show in New York this weekend, Christopher pulls out all the stops with a banging two hours of Pharmacy Music influenced trance this month. Featuring new tracks from Ascent, E-Clip, Tantrix, Hypnocoustics, Blanka, Hopeku, Freaked Frequency plus Pharmacy’s Memory Splice as well as Christopher’s own new single “Libra”. 

This months guest mix comes from Pharmacy’s Renato Dinis who has quickly become one of the most prolific producers on the Pharmacy Label. Renato made his debut with a pumping remix of Cowboy Mike Pres. CBM – Motion Emotion.  His remix received huge support from like’s of Paul Oakenfold, John Askew and label boss Christopher Lawrence. That remix was quickly followed up with remixes for John 00 Fleming and Christopher Lawrence and Phil Parry. His most recent single “Beyond Control” was his biggest release to date.

This months Rush Hour comes to you from deep in the studio, where Christopher Lawrence is busy completing his third artist album including five upcoming singles plus remixes for Talla 2XLC and Reaky.

This months special guest is Victor Dinaire from San Diego. Growing into his role as a young DJ in New York City, Dinaire spent countless hours in the underground dance scene honing the craft and learning the art of programming from masters such as Junior Vasquez. Promoting and throwing events to showcase his own sound, Victor quickly began to build up momentum behind his name. The record executives at BMG / Logic Records took notice, and soon offered him the opportunity to mix a series of compilation CDs for the label. His first release "Logic Trance 4" went straight into the Top 5 on the CMJ charts and proceeded to sell out, as did the Timeless Trance series “Midnight and Morning Sessions” and the following “Entrance" on Bonzai Music Italy / Megahit US.

From this initial success, Victor was soon performing out in clubs across the US as a regular at NY's heralded Arc nightclub, Spundae LA, Avalon Hollywood, On Broadway San Diego, and as resident for 2 years at Blue, Miami. Turning his attention towards expanding his audience on a larger scale, Victor began his domination of the airwaves. His weekly radio show "Peak Hour" on Sirius Satellite Radio was soon followed by "Resident Nation" on Music Choice TV, and ultimately Future Progression on XM. Seeking to push dance music beyond the airwaves, Victor took Future Progression to a new level by throwing his legendary New York City loft parties of the same name creating both an immense following in the club and on the air.

Christopher Lawrence returns to the airwaves with another massive installment of Rush Hour. "America's Top Trance DJ" has been production overdrive, taking almost two months off touring to complete his third artist album. He has five new singles including The Seeker and Rock It lined up ready to, as well as upcoming remixes for LMFAO, Lords of Acid, Reaky and Talla 2XLC, who is this months guest on Rush Hour. 

Christopher Lawrence and Talla recently toured Thailand together, including the Zoom Festival in Pattaya. They join together again for this special episode of Rush Hour. 

Having had well over 100 releases, collaborations and compilations to his name, Talla is and will forever be considered an icon in the electronic music community. He has held residencies all over the world, including some of the biggest music festivals, dance brands and venues. He is also recognized for starting one of the first ever all electronic music dance clubs in the world, “Technoclub”, which is accredited to launching the careers of some of today’s biggest names. Artists such as Sven Väth, Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Tiësto, Jam & Spoon and Taucher all made their mark here at Talla’s ‘Technoclub’.

Over his long standing career, Talla 2XLC’s productions, remixes and compilations are well into the hundreds and at one point was running 8 labels out of his home base, Germany. This impressive list of earth shattering productions also include the critically acclaimed “Can you feel the Silence” which charted on the no.14 spot on the German Top 100 Sales Charts. His most recent production “No In Between” has taken the dance music industry by storm again. After racing through the hands of PVD, Armin, Ferry Corsten, Above and Beyond etc.

Rush Hour 082 comes direct from Australia where Christopher Lawrence is on the Pharmacy: Phase 4 tour. This episode is jam packed with Pharmacy tracks Christopher is playing on tour and the response has been amazing from Down Under. Track of the Month goes to Orbiteck - The Wicked Rabbit Movement (Fergie & Sadrian Remix), plus there's new tunes from Pharmacy's Microsis, tinY, Frost Raven, Jens Jakob, Lamat and Daniel Lesden. This month's guest mix comes from Daniel Lesden, whose remix of Christopher Lawrence & Jonathan Allyn latest single The Human Element on Pharmacy Music spent several weeks in Beatport's Top 20 singles chart. 

Daniel Lesden has solidified his sound in recent years and is a name that is rapidly rising through the ranks and and is certainly definitely respected by his peers. His music can best be described as atmospheric and melodic, but at same time dancefloor orientated Progressive Psy Trance influenced by his love of the universe and journey of discovery. He has been meticulous in his preparations over the last year for his debut album ‘Chronicles Of The Universe’. With a remix of John 00 Fleming’s forthcoming single already in the pipeline, as well as three new EP’s all to be released on J00F Recording in 2014 the backing of such a powerful label proves Daniel has something special and what can only be described as an explosive journey ahead of him. Described as "A great up and coming psy producer!” by Simon Patterson, he began his professional career in the music scene in 2012 with his first release ‘Contact’ being snapped up by Ovnimoon Records and spent a number of weeks in the ‘Beatport PsyTrance Release 100’, finally holding firm at #7.  A remix of another of the heavyweights of the Psy Trance scene followed this with Ace Ventura’s monumental ‘Presence’, unleashing a moretechie sound on this remix that is certain to smash any dancefloor around the world.

Ectima is a progressive tech trance project created by Dalibor Delic and Nikola Kozic. The dynamic duo started their collaboration in the year 2004. Since early days Nikola aka Zyce was intrested in music, with experience playing in numerous rock, regge and metal bends. And after years of playing Nikola found himself in Electronic music and started creating his recognisable progressive style. Possesing musical knowledge in a variety of instruments such as the Keyboard, Guitar, Bass Guitar and Drums to name a few. In june 2008 he released a collaboration album Zyce & Fox for Synergetic Records.Dalibor aka Flegma was producing all kinds of beats,writing melodies and arranging songs,using gadgets and synths that was availible. He began to learn about music at early age, influenced by his older brother who play bass and guitar. He grew up listening a music with a lot of different influences until the 1999 when trance music hit him so hard, that he knew it was his calling where he could express his ideas through electronic music production. Aside from signed Iono Music, Zyce and Flegma releasing tracks for Synergetic records, Spin Twist reccords,YSE... At the moment Flegma preparing a collaboration album with Nerso which is about to be released this year. .. .. Ectima already has unique progressive tech trance style, which gained very positive feedback from the audience after few live performances. Their sound can be defined as a mixture of deep bass lines, strong percussive sequences, dark pads and eletric fx synth arranged in extraordinary way which is constantly developing into new and original sound forms that represent a true innovation. Live acts are characterised with highly energetic intense tracks with unusual drum loops and uplifting breaks, with wide and clean production, which is their trademark.

Christopher Lawrence - Rush Hour 041 (Aug 2011) - Guest Mix - DJ Unity

This months guest is a Rush Hour DJ Mix contest runner up, Damian Murillo. From a young age Damian was fascinated and intrigued by the sounds of electronic dance music. At age 8 he first discovered the raw sounds of hard house through a cousin of his who was a DJ in the LA underground rave scene at the time. Damian had never hard music like that and was truly mesmerized by the art of djing. The seeds for Damian’s future passion for djing were planted early on.  

At age 12 Damian acquired has first pair of turntables and began his DJ career. Initially playing hip-hop at house parties he later attended his first electronic dance music event, the Monster Massive Halloween music festival in 2006 and his life was forever changed that night. Having discovered the soaring melodies and driving baselines of trance music reignited his spark and love of djing and shortly after he began frequenting electronic dance music events and collecting and djing as much electronic dance music as he could. He continued to practice and hone his skills until he landed his first professional booking by age 19.  

Now in his early 20’s Damian lives and breathes electronic dance music and the art of djing is his life’s passion. Already having played alongside some of the biggest names in trance music including M.I.K.E, Stoneface & Terminal, The Space Rockerz, Norin & Rad and many more, Damian is an upcoming talent with his eclectic blend of progressive, tech, psy and trance and meticulous attention to detail in his set programming. Always a crowd favorite among the Southern California rave and club scene crowds the sky is the limit for Damian and he is definitely a name to look out for in the coming years.

Rush Hour 049 (Four Year Anniversary)

With summer in full swing, Christopher Lawrence hits Quebec, New York, Toronto, Honolulu, Newport Beach, Los Angeles and Burning Man for some amazing club and festival dates this month. He’s handpicked some of his favorite tracks from these sets on this months Rush Hour so sit back and enjoy. 

This months guest mix comes from Chile’s Ital. What makes this guest mix so special is every song in Ital's set is one of his own compositions. He's been one of Christopher's favorite producers for a while now and this amazing "producers" set will show why.

Ital is a musician, sound engineer, label manager of Antu Records, psytrance DJ and producer. With over 14 years working in the musical world, he started out playing guitar player, going through several styles of popular music, until he arrived to his true passion: Psychedelic trance music. 

He began producing in 2001 with his friend Andrés Rodillo with whom he got involved into the production of Psytrance electronic music, forming one of the pioneering projects of the local scene: “Metatron”. In the beginning, experimenting with samplers, synthetizers and audio softwares allowed them to introduce themselves in the national electronic world, playing live and with great success in different places of the country. 

Three years later, in 2004, he decided to create his own project, “Ital” , that in Patois african dialect it means purity, and which he uses to promote himself in different scenes of Chile, Europe and America. Because of this, each production of Ital has like fundamental concept the expansion of all the purity that surrounds us, canalizing through music all this divine and universal energy that surrounds us to be given and to be projected like sound waves towards our surrounding universe. His style is characterized for being a Groove Full on with a very own character and style, full of atmospheres, much groove and psychedelia. Since september 2007 he created and began the first psytrance chilean label denominate: “Antu Records” which name comes from the indigenous Chilean language that means sun. The purpose and intention is to expand the light and divine energy all over the world through the psytrance music, to connect our selves with our roots and feel our hearts full of spiritual healing. 

Has shared scene with big name projects from the international psytrance present scene from all the continents. Had play in countries like Germany, England, Japan, Brazil, Switzerland, Denmark, Portugal, Czech Republic, Austria, Scotland, Greece, Poland, Holland, Sweden, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador.

This months guest mix comes from Pharmacy Music's Fergie & Sadrian which comprises of Fernando Picciano and Adrian Sartore. These two producers are based in Buenos Aires and influenced by the Uplifting trance & tech trance sound of producers such as Simon Patterson, Christopher Lawrence, Bryan Kearney, John Askew, Activa and Reaky.

Fergie & Sadrian comprises Fernando Picciano and Adrian Sartore. These two producers are based in Buenos Aires and influenced by the Uplifting trance & tech trance sound of producers such as Simon Patterson, Christopher Lawrence, Bryan Kearney, John Askew, Activa and Reaky.

The duo met in mid-2009 and produced their first release "Voyage". The track was released by Soviet Recording and supported by Suzy Solar, Christopher Lawrence, Bart Claessen and many more.

Busy in the studio in 2010, they produced two outstanding remixes "Flash Fire" by Trancelicious and "Try" by Roger Antux. The duo also released their first EP, which is called "Trance Traffic Ahead". Fergie & Sadrian currently doing a collaboration with fellow singer Tartarus and Michelle Hutcheson titled “Beyond the Rainbow”.

Other projects include production in conjunction with Tartarus and Jan Johnston, plus remixes of the tracks “Define Love” and “Somethings Missing”.?

In June 2011 Fergie & Sadrian released a new EP on Pharmacy Music, which comprises the tracks “Musulman T” & “Understand Nothing”. Support in by everyone from Activa, Binary Finary, Jonathan Allyn, Magnus, Manuel Le Saux, Paul Trainer and more.

Early in 2012 unleash their newest track "Little Boy" featuring remixes by  Sean J Morris and Monroe Ramirez. They also released a top twenty remix of Christopher Lawrence’s OK to Go.

Continuing with his ‘Rush Hour International Tour’, Christopher Lawrence touched down in cities from Fort Lauderdale, Baltimore and San Diego to Portland and San DIego over the past few weeks, with Edmonton, Seattle, Las Vegas, Raleigh and more cities coming up this month. Christopher has a great show lined up this month with new tracks from Insert Name, Etic, Interactive Noise, Biotronic Project, Gordon Coutts, Ian_Booth, FeI_Fei, Nick Sentience and Diagnostic.

HIs special guest this month is Reaky from Slovenia. Reaky began producing music at sixteen years of age. He began DJing in 2000 and by 2002 Reaky was booked in clubs all over Slovenia. Later that year Reaky founded Techno Jugend Organization and became a resident on »Confusion« party series in club ŠTUK in Maribor. From 2003 till 2005 Reaky was a co-promoter of a very successful Mature Minds parties. The year 2004 was very busy for Reaky, he was playing almost every weekend in almost every Slovenian club and also abroad in neighbouring countries becoming one of the most booked techno DJs in Slovenia at that time. In 2005 Reaky released his first single »Fseko« on Omega Audio Recordings. By the end of the year he also entered the »Dr.Motte - Open your mind« remix contest (www.praxxiz.de) and won the 1st place. 

In 2006 Reaky started again organizing the »Euphoria« parties, which became one of the hottest events in Maribor. The year 2007 came and after 8 years of producing Reaky was finally satisfied with the sound quality of most of his newest tracks, so releases started coming out more often. He also established his own label »Penetration Nation Records« together with his friend, dj & producer Mark Ankh. By the end of the year 2008 Reaky has already released his driving techno tracks and remixes on labels like Penetration Nation, Omega Audio, Yin Yang, Insane Life, Analog Mode, Propulsion, Standbite Music, Emphatic, Soul Access, DJ Special Needs, Ambig, Sound Evolution, Drakos, Techment, Keep On Techno, Invalid Error, TMM... Most of his releases were very successful, constantly dominating top places of many techno charts and played by the biggest techno and trance DJs on the planet. One of the 2008 successes was also appearance of Reaky's track »Absinthe party« on FIRE IT UP mixed CD compilation by superstar Eddie Halliwell, joining the names like Armin Van Buuren, Sander Van Doorn, Chris Liebing and others on this CD. Year 2009 was the busiest so far. Performing all over Europe, releasing tracks and remixes on the best techno and tech-trance labels, constantly being on top of the leading techno charts, appearing in dj sets, radio shows and CD compilations of the world's biggest DJs...

 After all these years of hard work Reaky has become internationaly recognised by his unique driving techno tunes. Instead of being seduced by new trends in the electronic music scene as most of the electronic artists in the world, Reaky maintains his own unique style and he is still even improving it. His primary goal in life is to continue with creating top quality music, contribute to electronic music development and to make the crowd go crazy with his driving and energetic tracks all around the planet.

Rush Hour 062 + Burning Man Live Set

In the midst of a massive Asian tour including dates in Mumbai, Calcutta, Bangalore, Bangkok, Pattaya, Taipei and more.. Christopher Lawrence delivers a slamming back to back two hours of trance this month featuring new tracks by Michal_Poliak, Dark Electric, Brainchild, Solaris Vibe, Avalon feat. Mr Peculiar, Point Zero, Hopeku, Hyperion, Sascha Dolliver and Sherano_G along with Christopher’s new single ‘A Little Rush’ feat. Suzie del Vecchio.

Following the response to Christopher’s April 2010 episode of Rush Hour which featured a live set from his private archives and which smashed our all time records for downloads, Christopher Lawrence has again opened up the vault and released a second live set from 2004. 

This months set is live from Macedonia, where Christopher played his first ever show in the country in April 2004. This show put his name firmly on the Macedonian dance map!

It was an unforgettable night which Christopher brings to you as a special mix presentation this month.
