We’re proud to premiere ‘Signals from a Distant Afterglow’, the emotional centrepiece from Rafael Anton Irisarri’s forthcoming album Points of Inaccessibility (out 6th February). Built from slow-burning bowed strings and smouldering drones, the track reaches its most affecting moment through the ghostly vocals of Karen Vogt - fragile, distant and deeply emotive. It’s dark ambient at its most intimate, quietly overwhelming and rich with sorrow, memory and consolation.

When I first started out, I released a ton of music in a relatively small span of years. I've done some stuff independently, and with the help of a few chance encounters I ended up on a label where I made some valuable friends that I still keep in contact with, as well as shape my view of music and the industry I found myself in. I did some physical run of CDs, did some remixing, and came back after a few years with a renewed interest in making music.

The past year has definitely felt like a new chapter in my attempt at being a musician, so I've decided to close the book on the previous chapter with a compilation album of the songs that are my personal favourites. Because I didn't just want to regurgitate old content, I've remastered a few songs to make them sound more up to date, and I've included a few previously unreleased tracks from that chapter to sweeten the deal!

I hope you enjoy the compilation! If you're new to my music, I think it'll serve as a great introduction.

It'll be free to download from SoundCloud and Bandcamp of course and it will be hitting streaming services on the same date, streaming services breaking street date notwithstanding.
