The influential Ukrainian duo ARTBAT has been enlisted to bring their unique melodic sounds to a new remix of Röyksopp's 2005 smash ‘What Else Is There?’ The iconic original has been streamed 10s of millions of times and ARTBAT are contemporary electronic tastemakers with a global fanbase, so this is a perfect pairing of two musical giants.

The prolific pair have a put out a steady stream of high quality, always innovative sounds including hit remixes of Monolinks’s Return To Oz and Sono’s Keep Control, which both charted for more than 12 months at a time. As well as collaborations with Sailor & I, CamelPhat, Dino Lenny, WhoMadeWho, Matador and Rafael Cerato, the pair's solo work is always both accessible and melodic yet forward-facing and innovative.

Retaining the iconic vocals of Fever Ray and The Knife frontwoman Karin Dreijer, ARTBAT’s fantastic new remix of 'What Else Is There?' transforms the classic Nordic chug of Röyksopp’s original into the type of high drama big room house music they’re renowned for.

Pete Tong has confirmed a BBC Radio 1 play on the day of release and this essential new track will feature on a new playlist curated by the band highlighting their biggest remixes.

This is another huge release for ARTBAT, who continue to redefine their own unique sound with each fantastic new outing.

After having released a track on "Sudbeats Vol. 2", the always consistent Cid Inc makes his long over due Sudbeat solo release.

"Temazcal" is a groovy little number, deep and chunky and full of swagger. The muted bass sounds encapsulate your mind, before a luscious soundscape unfurls as the dreamy tinkles cascade like a warm blanket of sound. The combination of these elements generates a mystical hazy feeling of beauty, and is mesmerising.

"Response" is a hypnotising and warm, subtly layered gem. This is a masterpiece for the mind as it crystal clear production leaps out at you, creating an almost 3D vortex of sound, and all the while, the track is gently building creating tension and atmosphere as it meanders effortlessly and beautifully as a perfect dance floor moment.

And the already known ‘Fragile Circle’ closes the package. This track doesn’t need much of an introduction, as it was one of the gems included in the outstanding Hernan Cattaneo’s Balance and has been played by Hernan himself all over the world during the album tour.

In it's 12th release, Aethereal is proud to bring TasZ back in a solo, four track EP titled Sleepless Nights to showcase his etheric progressive house sounds. Previously releasing on Underground Music Records, Never To Late Recordings, Mistique Music, Suffused Music, and most recently remixing under the Aethereal stamp on the Arsevty hit, Wake Up. The first track of the release titled Sleepless Nights starts the listener on an atmospheric journey through deep, enveloping pads and a sparkling melody. You Are Too Kind For This World starts off with a full, throaty kick and haunting sound effects before dropping the lead in and whisking the listener through a dreamy, vibrant world of multi-tonal, echoed bells and a strangely energetic, yet subdued bass line. Burning Streets spotlights brilliant string work that morphs into and out of the droning bass over a fluttered, intermittently breaky beat. The last stop on our journey is Been Around, where the listener is treated to an otherworldly, vaguely oriental sounding lead that plucks merrily through a deep bass drone and effervescent percussion.

Cid Inc's Replug Records opens the 2019 summer season by welcoming Alex O'Rion to the label for his debut EP. As one of the Netherlands most highly regarded and sought after artists, the Nijkerk resident has found a home on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, where he has released three artist EPs since making his debut in January of 2018. Also a highly regarded DJ, Alex has programmed music for some of the world's most iconic clubs, namely Ministry Of Sound and Fabric. Now fresh off a Spring release for Nick Warren's Hope Recordings, the Dutch artist lands on Replug for his debut EP entitled ‘Marathon'. 

Continuing what has been a remarkable year for Alex is the EP's opener and title selection ‘Marathon'. Enticing from the start, it's perfectly sculpted beats are warm and powerful, anchoring what is a rippling, free flowing foundation. Crafted with precision and care, layers of hypnotic percussion are blanketed with swirling atmospherics, ghostly vocal edits and fragmented melodies. Intrigue peaks as the main break unfolds, with hazy harmonic concepts and granular design uniting for an exhilarating apex, before ushering in a groovy drop and emotive finale. 

The journey continues with the driving vibes of ‘Blaze'. Immediately captivating, it's billowing bass tones and finely tuned percussion play off a robust rhythmic core, making for a devilish, hip swinging groove. It's hypnotic appeal grows subtly, as vocal fragments and luminous tones add an emotive slant to what is an already mystical storyboard. Almost like a sonic comet, it's fiery energy melts down into a break of muted beats and astral designs, before a collage of tripped out harmonics sets the stage for an otherworldly conclusion.

The release is capped off in fine fashion with the introspective moods of ‘L'Arbre Des Contes'. Expertly joining the past to the future, Alex marries sophisticated melodic motifs with meditative rhythms and tranquil textures. It's a unique and highly engaging storyboard, perhaps one of the Dutch artist's most heartfelt to date in fact, a creation to cherish for special occasions and no doubt a highly memorable selection for your dance floor. Groovy and emotive in equal measure, it rounds out what is an astute collection of music from Alex O'Rion, making for yet another extraordinary addition to Replug's impeccable discography.
