Junction Forest is a new label operated by Junction Records Store, out of Seoul. The first release is from our associate Tim a.k.a S.O.N.S and is a trance 3-tracker with a few twists. 
It is titled after an (in)famous forest in the middle of Seoul, straightforwardly called... Seoul Forest. 

Some words from S.O.N.S about the release:

So I got some complains about my last album, reportedly containing no danceable tracks, 
"I tried to play it out and everybody left" said one angry customer. "I thought it sounded fine but it clears the floor 100%" wrote another one.

Well this time I took a different approach.

On the A side, you get Tteuggeopge (meaning "Hot" in Korean) - it's a mixture of acid techno and psy-trance breakdowns, with some vocal samples taken from an old Korean movie, a jazz intro and a long 9.09minutes build up (figures are never chosen randomly) which I hope won't let the dancefloor unmoved - if you dare to play it! 
On the flip you get the ambient version... no! I was joking! you get 2 other trance tracks
Psychic Link is a mixture of Hard & Goa Trance sounds with breakbeats samples & a surprising deep tribal interlude in the middle to cool down the room for a minute. 
And finally Snow White And The Seven Mushrooms is an angry bad tripping tribute to 90s progressive house sounds. Like if Robin S took too much acid and is haunted by some supernatural creatures.

For the 10th edition of the series, we welcome the always impressive Bethan. This London based dj, and regular of the much loved queer venue, Dalston Superstore has been carving out a name for herself in the capital over the last couple of years. Across just 60 minutes, Bethan delves into trance, house, and breakbeat for a taste of what to expect from this exciting artist.

'This mix mainly consists of progressive house/trance & hard house tracks that I've discovered and/or played out lately. I didn't really intend for the mix to be a high NRG one, but it was fun to record and a good example of what you can expect to hear me play in the basement of Dalston Superstore.'

Graphics & identity by Gabriella Brown

Gabriella is a graphic designer, illustrator, and DJ from Melbourne, who's work has been popping up in our feeds for quiet some time now. Her work is fluid and organic in nature, and evokes a sensation of sound and movement.

Co-founded by Chris I’Anson, Adam Pits & Lisene, On Rotation has become home to a spectrum of forward thinking productions which encapsulate a range of electronic genres. 

Taking inspiration from the outer-cosmic, the inner-self and the digi-natural, the graphic tee takes design cues from the label’s releases while also being heavily influenced by the trio's intoxicating mixing styles.
 
Using fluorescent and metallic inks the graphic tee pops on the dance floor while the three part mix series takes us on a downtempo voyage through each co-founder’s slowed down selections.

For the release party of Naone's latest EP we had our home brew champ Jotel California open the dancefloor at Zur Klappe in Berlin with a first class warm-up. Warning fam and motivated ravers got down early so the vibe was there from the start and those three hours didn't feel like the beginning of the weekend but a highlight of the week. It‘s been about time that Jo delivers a mix for this series anyway, so here we are for three hours of Trance & Electro - enjoy the ride 🙂

With a career spanning decades, Retina.it known also for their pioneering QMen project with Rino Cerrone - helped ignite the original Napoli techno movement back in 1995. Their music has graced labels like Design Music (Marco Carola) and Conform (Gaetano Parisio), defining the city's signature raw, analog sound.

Domenico Crisci continues to carry that torch forward. With acclaimed releases on L.I.E.S., Jealous God (Silent Servant, Regis, James Ruskin), Semantica, and more, he remains one of the most uncompromising voices in modern techno.

This release is a convergence of two generations - uncompromising, hypnotic, and true to the roots of Napoli’s underground.
