Panorama Bar resident and Love On The Rocks label head Paramida joins us for the 92nd edition of the Phonica Mix Series. 

Since moving to Berlin in 2010, Paramida has since become a key figure in the cities ever-expanding electronic music scene. In 2014 she launched her Love On The Rocks label which has seen releases from Massimiliano Pagliara, Telephones, Fantastic Man, Elles, Violet, Alex Kassian and more.  

Having spent five years working at Oye Records, Paramida is certainly no stranger to digging. Each of her varied DJ sets brings a new beacon of pleasure and surprise. Blending proto-house to trance, percussive gems with high-energy techno, Italian dream house and irresistible new beat. Sounds that are very much reflected in this here recording. Clandestino & Twisted Geisha are pleased to give a Leeds debut to one of Europe's leading female DJ's and party rockers. Paramida made her name as an upstart behind the counter at Berlin's'Oye Record Store and held a riotous two year residency at Salon Zur Wilden Renate with her Paradisco parties; inviting luminaries Tornado Wallace, DJ Fett Burger, Telephones, Danielle Baldelli, DJ Sprinkles, Man Power and others along for the ride. Her Love On The Rocks label has lit up an often staid Berlin techno scene with colourful releases to date from Discodromo, Fantastic Man, Telephones and Zombies in Miami. Paramida can be found regularly playing at the Garden Festival, Gottwood, Lisbon's Lux Club and on Beats in Space and her unpredictable yet fiery and dramatic DJ set at Distrikt is not to be missed...

The Belfast native DJ and producer has several releases out on high-profile labels including Feel My Bicep, Sulta Selects Silver Service, and Unknown to the Unknown in addition to appearances at venerated venues like Robert Johnson, Panorama Bar, Fabric, The Warehouse Project and plenty more. In lockdown he’s focused his energies on his next move: launching his own label at the end of summer. He’s already got the first few releases ready to roll and has included a little teaser of the debut track in this mix.

Clandestino have been involved in Leeds' underground music scene for over 20 years; regularly throwing diverse parties and inviting exciting DJ talent. Their esoteric style of dance music has gained them gigs at some of Europe’s premier club spots such as Renate in Berlin, Stalingrad in Paris, Geneva’s La Graviere and Powerhouse in Moscow in addition to being regular fixtures on the discerning festival circuit.
