Blossom Kollektiv is back with a new artistic vision to take us directly into the future. Always keeping a forward-thinking attitude, we’ve rebranded ourselves to take us to the next wave as an imprint through exploring different sonic soundscapes, from electronica to techno and everything in between. Continuing to hold ourselves to the highest standard possible, we will passionately curate the same high quality that we are known for but with a current focus on modern and captivating releases. 

Focusing on showcasing the next generation of talent, we strive to not only share their music with the world but to develop their identity as an artist.  One certain thing is the sense of extended family that will carry through release after release, as we help to path the way for their careers but also to give them a medium where they can feel free to experiment and stay true to themselves. This new eclectic output will relieve the pressures of many purist ideas of the past and give the room to focus on what is the most important to make great music that electronic music lovers can listen to or dance to. 


Blossom kollektiv is proud to present a fresh new release to continue showcasing the eclectic new direction of the imprint's musical identity. This time inviting Germany-born, Austria-based DJ and producer Conntex, for a proper techno EP titled “Sonic Seduction”. The four-track voyage takes the listener on a journey through many distinct but solid representations of the techno sound.

 

To get things started the release kicks off with “Serenity” a deep and dubby techno wonderland with pulsating beats, moving percussion and classic dub stabs that weave together seamlessly to create a firm foundation for the rest of the release. Transitioning into the next piece “Feeling of sublime” we are transported directly to the front of the dance floor with this straight techno groover. A punchy kick paired with otherworldly synths and funky percussion keeps the energy up, which is bound to keep the listener moving as if in a psychedelic trance within a strange new place.

 

Moving along to “Liminal” another deep techno-utopia catches our ears with a pumping kick drum that is paired with precisely placed percussion that keeps the groove moving with brute force. This paired with the occasional and clever use of minimalistic vocals is perfectly placed within the arrangement that keeps things shifting until the true surprise of the track comes at the breakdown. The brilliant use of the beeping of a heart monitor within the composition effortlessly bridges the gap between breakdown and the final arrangement of the track.

 

Wrapping up the release with the title track “Sonic Seduction”, Conttex delivers one more fresh flavor of techno. A sinister bassline paired with seductive and well-placed vox sets the mood for the track until the kick and tribal percussion comes into play establishing a strong infrastructure. The groove continues to build until the surprise dubby synths come to play at the end of the arrangement tying everything together cohesively and returning to the vibe created from the very beginning of the release.

 

To complete the package the EP comes paired with four stellar remixes to take the listener even further into the abyss of sonic auditory delights with remixes by Rydim, ALPI, D_Roots, and Egotot. Each remix presents an eclectic flavor of electronic soundscapes that perfectly round out the release, from deep techno and broken beat to slow experimental shamanic drum sequences that propel the release into an exciting new direction while keeping the spirit of the original EP.
