I asked Tony to write something about leaving the rat race and getting back to the country way of life , he came back with these wonderful words , so easy to work with , we hope you like it ! Next out is the 1st song by lyricist Andrea Brennan and myself on the 1st of May , a belter of a song , then on the 9th is a remix of an old one followed by another by me and Andrea . Due to technical problems Charlotte is having , the next release by Charlie and the Fox is slightly delayed , but it will be worth the wait ! This song was written by Ken and a dearly departed friend and former bandmate named Chris Bennett about the latter's divorce that he was going through at the time when their band was also breaking up. Ken had a good demo of the two of them fleshing it out, which the Eclectic Collective used as a template for the song. Josh was first to add his unique slide bass line to the song. Next up was Tez, who added the fiery solo you hear at the end. Stephen came in not too long after with the rhythm guitar, complete with the intricate fills you hear throughout. Around the same time, Mark added some really innovative, genre-bending horns and shakers to it. Ken then completed the song with his stellar vocals. 
  Of course, every great song needs a great producer, so Ken turned it over to Stephen for an objective mix, although Ken was still heavily involved in the process, too. This is the first time Ken has sung lead for an EC song, and we were all very impressed with his skills on this one. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Something Out There?

It's been a few months since @texmex-shaman and I have released a new 'Texas Tea' production. This one has a bit of a wacky weird vibe to it. My working title was 'rusty' so that evolved into this reference to a certain 90s/00s cartoon character's alter ego.

basic copyright on all tracks.
all of the tracks on here are made with a 12 track boss digital recorder.      to make some sounds more spacious such as the main chords and melodies i have to use 2 tracks at the same time. this is why i try to keep my tracks short because i can only use a limited number of sounds. if i use 2 tracks for bass, drums, chords and melody it only leaves me with 4 tracks for effects and secondary melodies. i prefer to record only one sound on the channels allocated as this avoids problems with volume levels.  i'm not a great musician, but i am also not very good with computers, so this is the only way i can demonstrate my musical ideas.  a big thank you to everyone who listens and comments.........and especially those who like.
