I love that such a sad song starts with two major chords. I love the blues dissonance on "to you"...

Nothing Compares 2 U (cover)

This is a re-imagining/redux of an original song written way back in 1985. It was a signature song for an LA band I was in at the time called The Program. Originally written as a straight ahead rock tune, the funky and catchy bass pattern was the central component of the song. This new arrangement and recording maintains that original bass pattern and vibe, but definitely takes the tune into completely new realms! Enjoy!

Program Me (Inflated Mix)

This one was originally inspired by a song by Ocie and Elliot who are a male-female duo and both singers. In one of their songs the female vocal harmonises over the male main vocal all the way through the song. I really wanted to try that too.
This is a duet.... my first duet. Mark 'doesn't sing' but here is this song! And for this one, Mark wrote the lyrics, also a very rare event.

This is a song that originated with Mark, and existed as a song he wrote on the piano after, like many of us, getting back into playing following an extended hiatus. He sent it to me Josh, who added the fretless bass and some delay-heavy electric guitar. Then we got Tez involved, who added not only the screaming guitar parts in the meat of the song, but also the entire coda at the end. After that, Mark added the catchy, powerful drum Tez also produced and mixed this for us, expertly. This is the first of hopefully many songs Tez and Josh do with Mark. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.
