Gray, cloudy and damp, Montevideo was the breeding ground of Moonsters, a band that emerged in 2013 and mixes shoegaze, post-punk, post-rock, noise and dreampop with a personal vision.

Born in the 80s and teenagers in the 90s their influences are various and abundant. Lots of music ,poetry , pop culture, and all that concerns the x and y generations.

Their sound is atmospheric with effect loaded guitars at sometimes torn and ethereal by others.
Dynamic rythms vary from drone and subtle to energetic and explosive.
Intense rhythmic bass lines and dark, visceral female vocals.

Moonsters is a nocturnal band that travels in between a world of dreams,trauma, the unconscious and the inner self. Also the streets down by the port, suburbian sidewalks , unhealthy relationships and serial killers. The unseen, the unspoken.
The songs have a female point of view with a masculine brute force, riot girl spirit with a sinister side.
The lyrics are haunted by ghosts, demons , kittens and little girls playing hopscotch.

Nothing is what it seems . 

Under the moonlight, the monsters show themselves , and sometimes they look just like an innocent creature.

Gris, nublado y húmedo, Montevideo fue el caldo de cultivo de Moonsters, una banda surgida a mediados de 2013 y que mezcla shoegaze, post-punk, post-rock, noise y dreampop con una visión personal.

Nacidos en los 80s y adolescentes en los 90s las influencias son variadas y abundantes, mucha música, poesía, cultura pop, y todas las inquietudes de las generaciones x e y.

El sonido es atmosférico con guitarras cargadas de efectos, desgarradas por momentos y etéreas por otros. Ritmos cambiantes que van del drone y la sutileza a la explosión energética.
Intensos bajos rítmicos y una voz femenina, oscura y visceral.

Moonsters es una banda nocturna, transita el mundo de los sueños, los traumas, el incosciente y la vida interior. También las calles portuarias, los suburbios, las relaciones enfermizas y los asesinos seriales. Lo que no se ve o no se dice. 

Los temas tienen un punto de vista femenino y contundencia masculina, espíriitu riot girl con un costado siniestro. Las letras están pobladas de fantasmas, demonios, gatitos y niñas jugando a la rayuela. 

Nada es lo que parece. Bajo la luz de la luna los monstruos se dejan ver, y a veces parecen una inocente criatura.
