In preparation for a strong summer club season, Clubsonica Records unveils two exclusive free downloads set to be essential weapons for the remainder of 2025. Having offered a variety of private remixes over the years, it has become somewhat of a label tradition to fuel the world’s dancefloors with new memories of yesterday’s classics, a series which has already turned out exceptional interpretations of ‘Heaven Scent’ by Bedrock, ‘Universal Nation’ by Push, Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’ and Sasha’s iconic ‘Belfunk’, amongst others. The latest installment in the series has been prepped and readied for the summer season, with Kamilo Sanclemente unveiling his remix of ‘The Man With The Red Face’ by Mark Knight & Funkagenda, while Clubsonica label boss Juan Pablo Torrez and Kamilo showcase their collaborative re-imagination of ‘Elle’ by DJ Gregory.

Selection one finds Clubsonica stalwart Kamilo Sanclemente remixing ‘The Man With The Red Face’ by Mark Knight & Funkagenda. Originally released in 2009 as a cover of Laurent Garnier’s turn of the millennium classic, the UK duo reinvented the seminal track with more of a DJ friendly and thus effective approach, resulting in what has been one of the biggest club records across the last two decades. Enter Colombian talent Kamilo Sanclemente who through dedication to his craft, unrelenting work ethic and extraordinary creative vision, has carved out a place for himself as one of the world’s foremost progressive house producers. As a highlight in his sets for some time, the Cali resident’s reimagination utilizes the lead chord stabs and freeform saxophone highlights, for a bouncy feel good summer record that is sure to be a highlight across dancefloors around the globe.

Selection two finds occasional studio partners Kamilo Sanclemente and beloved Clubsonica label boss Juan Pablo Torrez unveiling their rework of DJ Gregory’s house anthem ‘Elle’. Released in 2003 via Faya Combo, before being licensed to Defected, the twelve-minute tribal house workout quickly became one of the summer’s biggest records, being played by every A-list DJ, including BBC Radio One’s Pete Tong. Its enduring sounds still sound fresh today, which is not only the mark of a truly special record but one that will always stand the test of time. A meaningful piece of music for Kamilo and Juan as well, the Colombian duo pay their respects to the track with a light and incredibly groovy rendition which stays true to the main musical themes, allowing them to breathe in all their glory atop lively beats, rebounding rhythms and hip-swinging percussion. Perfect for all forms of spring and summer party play, this is a rework which has already been making its mark on Colombia's finest dancefloors.

Fuenka is our guest for this episode, providing a beautiful guest mix for the second hour. They released a remix of ‘Kaddyn Palmed’s Ipse’, which is doing great in the charts.

Based in London, Stuart Browne and Jimmy Lee make up the Fuenka production duo. Their melodic yet dancefloor-friendly take on progressive house and trance has found favour with some of the world’s most prominent tastemakers across their decade-long career. Play and support from Above & Beyond, Aly & Fila, John OO Fleming, and Paul Thomas have propelled them into one of the most renowned duos in their genre space. Fuenka now adds Clubsonica to their resume with a gorgeous rework of Ipse.

Premiere: Juan Pablo Torrez & Kamilo Sanclemente - Deep Truth (Hernan Cattaneo & Marcelo Vasami Remix) [Clubsonica]

Operating out of their Santa Fé home, seasoned Argentine duo, Abity, return to Clubsonica Records for the label’s 128th release with “Alice”. Veteran of more than 500 production credits over more than 15 years, the pair have consistently been at the vanguard of modern progressive house with a sound that has seen them featured on such luminary imprints as Univack, Mango Alley and Particles. April 2022 saw a Clubsonica debut courtesy of “Sinerxia / Lotus”, while remixes for label head honcho, Juan Pablo Torrez, and, most recently, Andre Moret in March 2025, now see Abity join forces with Clubsonica debutant and vocalist, Las Modas.

“Alice” is a chunky rhythmic gem, propelled by heavy kick and ticking hi-hat percussion. With hints of Moderat, courtesy of a lilting vocal phrasing, Las Modas delivers emotion aplenty, creating an intense atmosphere. A hefty bass groove adds to the aural collage and shimmering melodic energy is provided by a mesmerising arp that arrives at the breakdown and evolves into an acid-tinged force in the third movement.

Stereo Underground is an artist who requires little introduction to underground dance aficionados. A legendary figure and co-founder of the “BPM College” music school, the Israeli star has been a staple of such leading imprints as D-Nox’s Sprout, Sasha’s Last Night On Earth and Kasey Taylor’s Vapour Recordings. Moreover, a debut full-length album in the shape of 2019’s “The Art of Silence” was a high-watermark on Balance Music with a magnum opus of unrivalled and timeless quality. Returning to Clubsonica Records for the first time since a 2021 remix of Golan Zocher and R O N A, the Stereo Underground remix retains the strong vocal anchor of the original while delivering a stellar, detuned analogue lead that gently bends as a filter gradually opens. Counterpoint motifs create additional sonic intrigue and Stereo Undergound’s skill is to take the themes resonant in “Alice” and transform them into stunning new musical ideas. The outcome is another hugely impressive and expansive remix interpretation to add to the Stereo Underground catalogue.

The final reworking comes from the Russian trio, ELECGROUND. Regulars on a plethora of high-profile imprints since a June 2021 debut, OLD SQL, BeatFreak, Univack, and AH Digital have all played host to their “multidimensional sound, unusual harmonic structures and atmospheric elements.” Aiming to create an immersive listener experience, the trio’s work on Clubsonica is centred around late-2024’s “Intergalactic Monster / Humanity” EP, which included a remix by legendary South American figure, Juan Deminicis. Now returning, the ELECGROUND remix of “Alice” is a typically dynamic affair with a smorgasbord of rhythmic prowess and spine-tingling melodic emotion. Building smoothly by virtue of a strong rhythmic foundation and evolving arp, combined with Las Modas’ vocal, the track explodes into a groove-laden powerhouse with its superb sub-bassline. Hitting its straps post-breakdown, a plucked new motif creates trademark ingenuity and a swirling array of effects adds to the club-friendly atmosphere.

A stunning new track from Abity and Las Modas, plus stellar reworkings from Stereo Underground and ELECGROUND, takes “Alice” into a bright and brilliant wonderland.

Premiere: Subandrio - Reevolve [Serendeep]

Combining a host of established and emerging talents under a seasonal banner, the "Winter Particles 2019" compilation once again showcases the wealth of global talent found in the underground dance arena. Eleven tracks now represent the very best in progressive and melodic house and techno.

Opening the winter selection box, Greek sensation, Savvas, reminds listeners of his attention to detail and melodic prowess through "Mindfulness", while dub.format and Pedro Capelossi and NOIYSE PROJECT hit the ground running with impressive low-end theory as "Mentalist" and "Myth in Manus" combine huge bass prowess with delicate melodic touch.

German star, Wisqo demonstrates why he has been such a hit with the likes of Lump Music and Pipe and Pochet with the elegantly crafted "Limitless" before Kynan Cosma takes a break from his new Sense of Mind moniker to carve out a rasping bass gem and Moog inspired melody in "Sequent" that Bodzin himself would be proud of. Notable for its middle eastern vocal flourishes, E.F.G. then combines a strong rhythmic backdrop and sumptuous chord progressions in "Days and Nights".

Veteran, Rick Pier O'Neil, rarely disappoints and "Shining" is no exception to an ever-growing catalogue of prized jewels, with its dynamic energy, bass prowess and sparkling lead motif keeping the French artist firmly on point. Bosnian, Youngen, immediately impresses with the exquisitely crafted and emotive "Atlantis" that explodes into a chorus of counterpoint motifs.

Argentina's very own Nicholas Van Orton continues his distinctive groove-laden approach to his craft through "Siete Dioses" as haunting melodies and guitar phrasing play a central role in a mesmerising track. Colombian Dabeat departs from fellow countryman and regular collaborator, Kamilo Sanclemente, to shine brightly on a solo outing, "Beyond the Stars", as gated synths and stepped arpeggio present a strong representation of the title and pitched and warped melodies bend space and time. Continuing the outer space theme, Neptun 505 closes the compilation with a shimmering affair that finds a twinkling lead motif illuminating the "Light of a Non-Existent Star" in an iridescent glow, backed by dominant beat, richly textured pads and ticking percussion.

Eleven tracks brightly lit in winter sun gives Particles a crisp, clean edge for its early 2019 collection.

Starkato lands on the veer reliable Asymmetric Recordings with 3 new cuts, and backed by a remix from John Cosani.
Starkato has released music on Sudbeat, BeatFreak, ICONYC and Movement to name just a few. His melodic and chunky sounds always cause a fuss.
The title track 'Astral' is a gritty melodious affair, with dirty synths and tinkly tones and packs a mean punch.
'Apply' is a punchier affair, with its bubbly bass and leaning towards a Berlin melodic sound, with its wobbling synths and incessant bass.
The last of the original tracks from Starkato is 'Curtis Road' is a moodier driver, energetic and charismatic.
John Cosani Remixes 'Curtis Road' to round of this package nicely. the Sudbeat fave takes things deeper, and brings a dreamier vibe to proceedings, while still keeping depth and energy throughout.

The latest release from Clubsonica Records welcomes Ivanshee to the label for his debut single. Hailing from Belarus, Ivan Shpakouski aka Ivanshee has been pushing his energetic brand of progressive house since 2011. Releases on John OO Fleming's JOOF Aura, Balkan Connection, Juicebox Music and his own Eternal Beats imprint highlight his discography, while his music has also found favour with world class DJ Hernan Cattaneo. Now Ivanshee steps up for his much anticipated debut on Clubsonica with 'Serpantine' alongside remixes from Paul Hamilton and Luciano Scheffer. 

Consistently on the cutting edge of progressive house, Ivanshee explores boundless rhythms and spaced out motifs on 'Serpantine'. Perhaps one of Ivan's most anticipated singles to date, its warm chugging groove, rolling cadence and astral designs are a feast for the senses. The main break furthers the narrative through broken beats, timely modulation and cosmic meanderings, before a vocal wail and wave of white noise ignites a stellar finale. 

The first interpretation of 'Serpantine' is provided by Paul Hamilton who also makes his label debut. With over a decade of production experience, the Dubai based artist owns an extensive discography highlighted by releases on Armada, Balkan Connection, Dear Deer and Perspectives Digital. Now presenting his first production of 2019, Paul delivers an inspired take on 'Serpantine'. With a techno sensibility he anchors the storyboard with a stripped, punchy groove that's primed for dance floor destruction. The astral designs are well conveyed, descending over the framework like a sonic shower, while reprocessed vocals and an effervescent build make for an exhilarating final act. 

The release concludes with Luciano Scheffer returning to the label and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Serpantine'. The Brazilian artist first appeared on the Colombian imprint in August of last year with a well received remix of Rick Pier O'Neil's 'They Got Away'. Also owning releases on Just Movement and PHW Elements, the Sao Paulo resident now makes a welcome return to Clubsonica with a superb rendition of 'Serpantine'. Emotion has always been at a premium for Luciano and he adds his own poignant flair here. Utilizing the main themes to perfection, the Brazilian artist creates a trippier first act, all while maintaining a high dance floor sensibility. Kaleidoscopic modulation initiates the main break, perfectly leading to glowing pads and trails of sonic decay, before a spiralling synth motif elevates the mood further into an emotive final act. A gorgeous remix from Luciano which rounds out another excellent release from Clubsonica, who add yet another superb artist to the roster in Ivanshee.

From his underground hit ‘Sofia’, to the summery melodic concepts of ‘Mocca Sunset’ (in collaboration with Stas Drive), Mike has left a long lasting impression on the genre. In addition to forging strong ties with Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records, Mike also lays claim to releases on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Flow Vinyl. Having made his Replug debut in 2012 with a single and subsequent EP, Mike now makes a long overdue return to the Finnish imprint with ‘Decoy’. 

Spread across three tracks it’s the title and showcase piece which gets the journey underway. Warm, dulcet kicks and intricately detailed percussion set the piece in motion, as chugging rhythms and astral motifs slowly surround the framework. Warm bass stabs only add to its widescreen appeal, carving out a meaty groove while vocal fragments add a mysterious air. 
The second act transfers energy further into the subconscious, as the melodic narrative develops amidst a percussive haze, before tasteful modulation sets up a classy drop and hook heavy finale. 

The EP’s second selection ‘Aghori’ is more of a cross pollinated creation. Unique and groovy, it showcases an esoteric side of Mike’s far reaching studio skills. Sitting in the creative space between house and techno, it’s rhythmic affinity becomes infectious as layers of percussion, electric stabs and quirky hooks unite in a hip swinging dance floor jaunt. 

Shifting further into peak time territory the release is rounded out with ‘Forgotten Ninja’. On a backbone of commanding beats comes thumping bass stabs, exotic percussion and an effects storyboard to fully saturate your senses. Subtle shades, vibrant tones and fiery stabs continue to elevate the mood, before segueing nicely into a bridge of harmonic overlays.  Stripping down into a cavernous break this wall of melodic color eventually melts to a haunting sizzle, as the groove drops for a funky final act. 

Long a regular in the sets of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Replug label boss Cid Inc, the remainder of 2019 holds much promise for Mike, with the ‘Decoy’ collection sitting as one of the spring season's most sought after releases.
