Russian progressive house powerhouse Ewan Rill has been on top of his game for many years and keeps on shooting out one quality production after another. This time he has teamed up with fellow Saint Petersburg resident K Loveski to present 'Broh Canville', an incredibly strong 3 track EP.

An artist who continues to impress with a growing portfolio of high-calibre music, Hot TuneiK returns to Proton Music with the striking twin-track "Circles of You". Remixes come courtesy of Hungarian and Argentinean stars.

DJ, producer, promoter and record label owner, Hot TuneiK has found himself at the forefront of Mexico's underground dance scene. Unforgettable Hookah showcase events and a unique brand of deep and progressive house have seen regular appearances for the likes of Balkan Connection, Sound Avenue and Particles amount to almost 300 production credits. An April 2018 EP for Proton Music shone a spotlight on the Hot TuneiK name before remixes from Lanvary and Matter continued the "Revival". Now returning, the flowing melodic lines of "Circles of You" meander enticingly before a deep beat and rich percussion filter into range. Building majestically, a simple grooved arpeggio provides another rhythmic anchor before extending in range into the third movement. White-noise washes add to the overall character in an elegant work. Partner track, "Melancolia", opens with a deep and flowing rhythm that hypnotises with its muted melodic underpinning. Weaving a magical spell, cadenced arpeggios and freeform string and key motifs are sprinkled liberally across the upper frequencies to mesmerising effect before joining forces with the sumptuous rhythm in the second half.

Hungarian duo Peter Makto & Gregory S are no strangers to success. Founders of the Truesounds Music label and DJ agency, their hard work has seen them become high-profile names at home. Simultaneously, a production career has found the duo on the catalogues of some of the finest labels that include Bondage Music, King Street Sounds and Go Deeva. September 2018's "Purple Rain" saw a full debut on Proton Music with a glorious twin-track offering and a remix of Michael A's "My Style" earlier in the year is now followed by a hypnotic reworking of Hot TuneiK. Using the arpeggio sequences found in "Circles of You" to impressive effect, Peter Makto & Gregory S have created a mesmerising remix that retains dancefloor character with chest-thumping kick and ticking percussive flavour. The coruscating patterns of Hot TuneiK's rich chord progressions add further depth in a compelling track.

A relative newcomer to the underground dance scene, Sebastian Sellares has quickly found himself as a sought-after producer under his own name and Monje moniker. With a "driving progressive house style" that has seen his work feature on Or Two Strangers, AMITABHA and PHW Elements, support has come from Hernan Cattaneo and Graziano Raffa. Now debuting on Proton Music, the Sebastian Sellares remix is an elegantly crafted affair that makes intelligent use of original components as a foundation for an array of new musical ideas to flow. The central riff from "Circles of You" plays a pivotal role as new motifs ripple around it in shimmering delay. Making their presence felt at the stripped back mid-point, they emerge into the third movement backed by a wonderful new bassline that ties superbly to the driving beat and high-cadence percussion. The result is sublime affair hallmarked in quality.

Centrifugal forces keep Hot TuneiK's "Circles of You" spinning with ever-increasing power.

Hot TuneiK - Circles of You (Sebastian Sellares Remix)

The latest release from Clubsonica Records welcomes Russlan Jaafreh to the label for his debut single 'Hanguk'. Hailing from Jordan, the Amman resident first arrived on the progressive music scene in 2013. Appearances on Lonya's Asymmetric Recordings, Michael A's Genesis Music and Bonzai Progressive highlight his discography. Now following a well received EP for Dynamica, Russlan makes his Clubsonica debut alongside remixes from Monojoke and Fabri Lopez. 

Known for his expansive style, Russlan's creations often approach ten minutes in length and 'Hanguk' is no different. On a bed of tight, punchy beats and acidic hooks comes metallic percussion and waves of sweeping noise. Moderately tense, the first act is one based around rhythm, groove and electric lines. Undeniably euphoric, its epic storyboarding is fuelled by stellar effects and a tonal theme which highlights the main break. Sitting in comfortable contrast to the acid line, it's a memorable centrepiece and one which perfectly foreshadows an exhilarating finale. 

The first interpretation of 'Hanguk' is provided by Monojoke who is returning to the label. The Polish artist lays claim to releases on John OO Fleming's JOOF Recordings, Movement Recordings and Sound Avenue, while also gaining considerable acclaim for his collaborative project Fluente (with fellow countryman Tuxedo). Together they have showcased their work on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, Nick Warren's The Soundgarden and Hot Since 82's Knee Deep In Sound. Now following a solo EP for Antrim's Or Two Strangers, Monojoke returns to Clubsonica with a superb take on 'Hanguk'. The Polish artist's effervescent design has become unmistakable as he remakes the main themes in his own cosmic collage of rugged grooves and wispy effects. Deeper in ethos yet no less impactful its strummy hooks and cascading themes lead nicely into an expansive break. Spanning over two minutes in length, it's an interlude which stretches sonic boundaries through cinematic storyboarding and exquisite detail, before effortlessly segueing into a thrilling final act. 

The release concludes with Fabri Lopez who also makes his label debut and provides the second and final interpretation of 'Hanguk'. Hailing from Villa Mercedes, the Argentinean artist has been hyped as one of his country's top up and coming progressive house producers. Recent releases on 3rd Avenue and Specific Music, coupled with support from Hernan Cattaneo has made for a great year thus far. Now stepping up for one of the most anticipated remixes of his career, Fabri debuts on Clubsonica with a stunning rendition of 'Hanguk'. The main theme from the original translate in a less distinct and more rhythmic way, while a perfectly contoured groove continues to drive momentum forward. Symphonic overlays add an epic flair leading into the main break, furthering expanding the emotional narrative. Otherworldly in nature, its blissful state of mind melts down into a tension filled band of crispy electronics, percolating with each successive loop, before a timely drop reveals the pulsating groove for a magical dance floor moment. A stunning interpretation from Fabri which caps off another must have release from Clubsonica Records, who continue to be one of the progressive scene's most reliable imprints.

The latest release on Clubsonica Records welcomes Julian Nates to the label for his debut EP. As one of Argentina's most promising talents, the Cordoba resident lays claim to releases on Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Antrim's Or Two Strangers and Soundteller Records, while also earning the praise from progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J. Now embarking on the biggest release of his career, Julian lands on Clubsonica with 'Wild Side' alongside remixes from Analog Jungs and Fabri Lopez.

Emotion and groove have always been at a premium in Julian's productions, and the title selection 'Wild Side' exemplifies that perfectly. On a bed of rippling bass tones comes buzzing electronics, growling stabs and perfectly manicured shakers. As momentum builds a tranquil arp advances the narrative into hypnotic territory, before effortlessly segueing into a musical interlude which seals its dance floor appeal. The companion piece 'Exchanging Souls' continues the smooth and seductive ethos of the EP with rolling grooves, lively rhythms and glowing atmospheres. Mysterious and mystical from the outset, the piece flows through bouncy arps and buoyant tones, before haunting overlays and wispy effects entice the final act with emotive moments.

The first interpretation of 'Wild Side' is provided by Analog Jungs who make their label debut. 2019 proved to be a breakout year for the Cordoba duo, landing releases on Nick Warren's two prestigious imprints The Soundgarden and Hope Recordings. Also, a favourite of world class DJs John Digweed and Hernan Cattaneo, Analog Jungs now follow their well received 'Liria' EP with a stunning interpretation of 'Wild Side'. Full and driving, the groove commands a large presence as percussive flurries and arpeggiated fragments adorn the framework. Evolving with a veteran's savvy, timely modulation provides waves of euphoric tension while bulbous tones and lively percussion add momentum. Haunting harmonics highlight the main break, delivering impassioned moments, before a rush of beats and drums unite for a powerful drop.

The second and final interpretation of 'Wild Side' is provided by Fabri Lopez who returns to the label for his second appearance. The Argentinean artist first appeared on the Colombian imprint in June of 2019 with a remix of Russlan Jaafreh's 'Hanguk'. In a year that saw play and support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, the Villa Mercedes resident now gets 2020 underway with a superb take on 'Wild Side'. Taking a cue from the original Fabri crafts a full groove and smooth rhythmic core. Nostalgic in nature, the piece flows through emotive chord changes and sparkling electronics, before shifting energy into a transcendent break. Delicate yet buzzing, the centrepiece expertly melts down into a dramatic build as rugged synths and a wave of noise spark a character filled finale. An inspired remix from Fabri which rounds out a stunning Clubsonica debut for Julian Nates, an artist who continues to operate at a creative peak.
