Riotvan is thrilled to announce the latest installment of the "Familiar Faces” series, with label bosses Panthera Krause and Peter Invasion once again opening their arms and welcoming an exceptional group of friends. Some familiar faces return, while others make a glorious Riotvan debut. Originally conceived as a four-track release, in line with previous installments, the project took on a life of its own as the incredible music continued to flow in.

Today, we are delighted to present "Familiar Faces IV," an eight-track selection that showcases the freshest and most diverse sounds from a group of our incredibly talented friends. Riotvan regulars Shubostar, New Hook, and Sexy Lazer & School Of X, invite listeners on their journey exploring deep, punky, and cinematic soundscapes, while our Belgian buddy, DC Salas, takes a deep dive into the acidic depths. From across the pond, we welcome a cosmic queen in, Tony y Not, and one of our favourite Mexican amigos, Mufti. Both new members of our clan. Our greatest gathering to date wouldn't be complete without the familiar faces of Peter Invasion & Gregor Habicht, who treat us to an exciting sci-fi soundtrack, before the Italian connection of Amarcord & Speaking Minds add a blissful beauty to close the collection.

We are really proud and honored to present ESPECTRUM, a year-long effort to put together a compilation of the best dub techno. The idea was simple, but ambitious: ask some of our favorite artists for one track to epitomize dub techno—the style of music we’ve loved and continued to develop since our birth as producers and a label. With a very precise idea of what we wanted to collect, the compilation was carefully built with hypnotic, obscure, dense, and magical sounds with an eternal hook. These are the kind of tracks that will never lose their appeal, because they go above and beyond labels, styles, and trends, resisting the passage of time. After the first tracks starting coming in, the idea grew more and more special, and the concept even stronger. We knew we were onto something really big. And, finally, here it is.

The Intergalactic Research Institute for Sound presents DE, a compilation of various artists representing Georgian electronic and ambient music.

დე / DE is a compilation of music from artists of different backgrounds getting together in order to showcase the dynamic influences within the Georgian scene. 
Tbilisi is getting worldwide recognition at the moment for its booming club scene, but what this project aims to illustrate is what is happening outside of the club context.

Natalie Beridze who has been performing worldwide since 2004 is known as the first female electronic music artist in Georgia, Rezo Glonti has built his studio inside the hull of his boat, and Zesknel is a resident of the renowned Bassiani club, while MYI and Severiane were discovered thanks to Myspace, Soundcloud, and word-of-mouth. All these talents manage in their own ways to present დე / DE, with murky and melancholic cuts.

Melancholia is at the core of beauty in Georgia. That is not the case in Germany and many other cultures, where melancholia is often charged and bound to a negative feeling, which some might perceive as weakness. Consequently, one could be tempted to say that even if it‘s electronic music, DE has a traditional Georgian quality. But that would be putting art in boxes or cases — because what is Georgian art nowadays, when so many artists from this origin are scattered around? As Giorgi Maisuradze states in his mission statement for DE, “the world is their home”.

After years of waiting, Marco Haas aka T.RAUMSCHMIERE is finally releasing his next grand album, “I TANK U“!!! It definitely means a ball, seeing that the album completes the series of the two previous Mute albums, RADIO BLACKOUT and BLITZKRIEG POP – being a grand finale to the triptych. “I TANK U“ is the end result of a musical progress: It's dark electronica, techno history, songwriting, jammed in a terrific rock record. It rocks violently, and therefore, it's being released as a feature album on Marco Haas' own label, SHITKATAPULT.

The number of featuring guests on this album is remarkable. Not only you can hear a (real) band playing more than ever before, but due to all the guest vocalists, this album contains no tracks but songs! Many names may seem surprising at first: the notorious energy rappers from DEICHKIND  with THE CRACK WHORE SOCIETY on the swansong “BRENNER“, the alien rappers from the PUPPETMASTAZ collective on “ANIMAL TERRITORY“, the great TIM VANHAMEL from dEUS and MILLIONAIRE, the artist duo WARREN SUICIDE, as well as Dutch LILIAN HAK and the newcomer Berliners BARBARA PANTHER and GENE SERENE.

“I TANK U“ is a very compact album and its breaches make its beauty complete. The rapping techno beats, cranky patterns, eerie melodies and those front row beasts gushing with energy do not compete with each other, but create an entity together: stories on sawtooth.
This is due to the strikingly tight sound. The live drums and guitars (T.R. Live band members Andi Paruschke &amp; Ben Lauber, assisted by sound engineer Allert Aalders) meet generated synth sounds and distorted bass lines. It’s the unbelievable compression that keeps everything together.
After all, it's the two instrumental tracks (the dark half-beat title track „I TANK U“ as well as the first single and techno hit „E“) and the rock tunes – sung by Mr Haas himself – “CRACK A SMILE“ and “THE FRONT ROW IS NOT FOR THE FRAGILE!!“ - and the analogical mixing by Moses Schneider (TOCOTRONIC, BEATSTEAKS) that make “I TANK U“ more of an electronic rock album than a rocking electronic album: it's musick in arms!!
This release is, of course, something special for SHITKATAPULT in many respects, but it also takes its place in line brilliantly after “WALLS“ by APPARAT and “REQUIEM FOR A MISSING LINK“ by WARREN SUICIDE. Whereas the whole scene may be wailing the crisis it's going through, the Berliner label got courage and defies the prevailing pessimism by doing whatever it fancies and saying no to all strictly defined label boundaries such as techno or electronica,  rejecting any categorisation whatsoever. It's all just music, and what more is there than that? ...And there are more killer releases to look forward to, for example the long-awaited CLP album by Phon.o and ex-Funkstörung Chris de Luca.

The limited double CD has a bonus disc with all the album's tracks as instrumental versions.

The triple-vinyl-box includes the album on 2 discs, the instrumentals on 1 disc, the cd, a sticker, a patch, a pin and a small poster

Neoteric by essence and yet a return to some oneiric trip-hop and the day after, hands up in the air, dancing grooves feeling ; Treeline is the third album signed on French imprint Ultimae, from a rather prolific artist who launched into numerous collaborations including the Ghostwalk EP with James Murray and the Eskostatic album and who, throughout his art, keeps on questioning causes and underlying perceptions.
