Re:Circulation is a new mix series which will feature older tunes that either never made it onto a Body&Soul mix, or classics that did but I want to revisit and revive them by mixing them with different tracks, and also there will be a few new tunes (mostly when none of the tunes in my library will fit!). Circulation was the first Body&Soul mix, so the title seemed fitting lol. I have a good bit of tunes that just didn't fit in (it's the land of misfit tunes!) and kind of got left on the backburner, but they're great tunes, so they aren't "rejects" lol. FYI! This time around I also included some older tunes that were recently re-released on a comp (tunes I missed originally). Enjoy the mix. D:RC came up DJing (mostly drum'nbass) in the mid-90s while attending the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga. As founding member of the local Phungus, Playtheavy and Sleuth Empire crews he found himself at the center of a burgeoning rave scene, collaborating with friends on dance music events in the Athens/Atlanta areas and beyond.

In 2004 he founded Studio:Machina, a graphic design practice geared towards the music industry. Building on his behind the scenes expertise and keen artistic instincts he's become an in-demand contributor on artistic projects in a variety of media. He's toured the US as member of the Smookie Illson bass music trio, serves as creative director for the Chicago-based Illeven:Eleven Recordings label and functions as brand/art director of several nightlife concepts. 

Behind the decks he currently heavily favors the sounds of DNB, but brief forays into breakbeat, house, UK Garage + Bass and dubstep are not uncommon. Get to know.

Colin Pierce is a 26 yr veteran DJ hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, USA, where he became highly and widely respected for his skills and integrity. 

“A musical journey”
Colin is a lifetime music junky. He is the first human to be born with headphones already on! Seriously though, since 6 years of age he has been actively seeking, collecting, and enjoying, music, and that was in 1983, so you do the math! Colin had 2 bands in high school, and wrote all or much of the music for them. He started mixing records in 1998 shortly after his first rave party, and hasn't stopped, always continuing to refine his formidable technical skills and dynamic range, and always working to pursue improvement. 

Colin is going on a decade clean and sober, as of 2024, and does not play gigs often anymore, focusing on discovering God's purpose. He does it strictly for the love at this point, for the communication, the merging of minds. Having retired mostly from live performances, he is now working on refining the art of mixing, which was the first love: long mixing tracks so that they really dance together and form something new and compelling. Exploring key mixing and perfecting the seamless mix is the new fascination, as well as a rediscovered passion and appreciation for liquid drum and bass.
