Adolescent en 1988, je vivais à Chatou en région Parisienne et, en rentrant chez moi en mobylette 103SP de chez un ami habitant Croissy-sur-Seine, j’empruntais les bords de scène et m’arrêtais systématiquement devant la maison de Monsieur Jean-Michel Jarre. J’éteignais ma mobylette en espérant entendre le son de son synthétiseur Fairlight, ou mieux encore le voir rentrer et qu’il m’invite à découvrir son matériel !!! Ma passion pour la musique électronique remonte évidemment pour moi de cette formidable époque de découverte sonore dont Monsieur Jarre a été l’un des pionniers. Merci.
Ce morceau a été réalisé avec :
- Clavier Polybrute d’Arturia pour le synthé lead avec le même son d’abord arpégé puis ensuite arpégé et séquencé
- Clavier DX7 en tant que contrôleur midi du Juno-6V d’Arturia
- Clavier Komplete Kontrol pour la basse FM8 et le pilotage de la balance des pistes
- Launchpad et Launchkey mini  pour le lancement des séquences et la gestion des drums kits
- Akai LPD8 pour le pilotage des filtres Ableton
- Ableton Live 11 pour le workflow

As a teenager in 1988, I was living in Chatou in the Paris region and, when I was going home on my moped 103SP from a friend's house in Croissy-sur-Seine, I used to ride along the edges of the Seine and systematically stopped in front of the house of Mr. Jean-Michel Jarre. I used to turn off my moped hoping to hear the sound of his Fairlight synthesizer, or even better to see him come in and invite me to discover his equipment! My passion for electronic music obviously goes back to that wonderful time of sound discovery of which Mr. Jarre was one of the pioneers. Thank you.

- Arturia Polybrute keyboard for the lead synth with the same sound first arpeggiated then arpeggiated and sequenced
- Arturia's DX7 Keyboard as a midi controller for the Juno-6V
- Komplete Kontrol keyboard for FM8 bass and track balance control
- Launchpad and Launchkey mini for launching sequences and managing drum kits
- Akai LPD8 for Ableton filters control
- Ableton Live 11 for the workflow

Having grown up in the 70's my awareness of history and culture was informed by a mixture of school, TV, books and comics along with influences from friends and family and the wider community. I spent a large part of my life I guess feeling lucky to be British, I mean, who didn't like the British, we had brought so much to the world, let alone as the football chants always went, we won two world wars and one world cup. I had no reason to question these thoughts, that are subtly discouraged when you are young.

Awakening is about the realisation that we need to strive to relearn and restructure our understanding of where we have come from, question more, open our minds to new ideas and truths, and build new perspectives. You can't change what has happened, but at the very least you should know it, understand it and do something to mitigate its effects in the present day.

Collision Music, based out of Brighton and Reading, in the United Kingdom, is the rebirth of the 90's label originally based in Medway Kent. Back in those days we released exclusively on vinyl and our roster of bands included The Love Family, Somersault and Fortune West.

Having taken a break from releasing records to take on other music projects, promoting and an online music reviewing site things have gone full circle and now original founder Mark Wrangham has teamed up with producer Tom Anderson to bring you a whole load of new artists from in and around the Berkshire area. We think there's a whole lot of talent in this area and we aim to give artists a platform to record and release there material.

There is no one defining genre to the music but it loosely falls into Singer Song writer, Blues, Americana, Country and Folk. The first release on the reformed label came out in September 2011, Jack Cade and the Everyday Sinners album This Fiery Road, and a new album by the Love Family is out in January 2012. Which has all served to give us the momentum to set up a number of releases for 2012.

Along with the new material we'll be making our back catalogue available over the coming months, this will include singles from Fortune West, Somersault and The Love Family and will be the first time they are available digitally.
