I wrote this song back in 2020 awhile after my long time friend unexpectedly passed away. She was an extremely talented artist and dancer and always encouraged me with my music. We chased our dreams together. I've had this song on my heart, and did this live take tonight. First take. Did the best I could. Treasures (Original song live)

Original song that I started writing back in Oct. 2014 when I was reminiscing of someone from my past. What a story we had back then. I'll always choose to remember her how she was back then, when she became my moon. Fond memories. I traveled back in time and laid this live recording down today. The bold line toward the end is a total exaggeration. As a songwriter it's needed sometimes to make the song better. Throwback pic from 2012.

Original song I started writing this back in 2016. It was one of those songs that I always felt like it was missing something...and years later it really came together. Sometimes it's just about the right timing. I'm thankful of the inspiration from such a beautiful soul(Cherry) Such amazing memories! I wanted to do another take of this original song, it's one of my favorites. It needed a bit of a tempo change. I'm so thankful for this song! I give God all the glory for giving me the ability to write this song. I hope it blesses you as much as it's blessed me. I did this live take late last night on my old Baldwin my Grandma gave me. Always nice to get a track down in one take, said a little prayer before. I started writing this back in 2020. It came together years later after combining part of an unfinished song to it. It's amazing how some things work out. We are forever blessed knowing Him! Blue Eyes (Original song Live take #2)

I've always loved playing this melody. I wrote it many many years ago. By far my most elaborate melody. This is a song of mine with lyrics, which I'll do at some point. When I play it just instrumental I like to add some different things in it, and I shorten it up. I hope you enjoy this take I did on the old Baldwin tonight, it was fun! You might hear a creak sound from the pedal, sorry piano is from the 60's lol.  

Faye was my piano teacher for a few years when I was little. Such fond memories, riding my bike to her house, her kindness, awesome snacks, and how she made every lesson fun. I never liked reading music though, ended up Id just watch her hands and I'd copy them, and hear how it sounded. At recitals I'd have the music up but never looked at it, cause I had it memorized, and to this day every melody of mine is all done from memory.

Got the ol acoustic guitar out of the case last night. It's been awhile! Dang my fingers, powered through though, cause this song had to be guitar. Part of this song was an old rift I've had forever and it's destiny was this. Someone very dear to me wrote the lyrics and she wishes to remain unknown. A little song I wrote back in September of 2023. Inspired by a beauty, who made me think of the Proverbs 31 woman. She brought this song to life, and pretty neat that her birthstone was a ruby. I even bought her a pair of ruby colored shoes. This song will always be very special. It's amazing how those little moments can hit and unexpectedly ignite a song late at night. I wrote this song back in 2018 timeframe. I had a moment of realization from broken relationships. I felt tangled and pulled in so many different directions. The past has such an impact. Sharing these types of songs isn't the easiest, but it's part of my life, and how I felt. I recently changed a single lyric in this song which is why I wanted to do another take, and honestly I was really feeling this song tonight. Recorded live on my old baldwin. I thought it was time for a happier song, so I dug this little 2 minute song out I wrote around 2018-2019 timeframe. Inspired by a wonderful friend oversees, that has always been such a supporter of my music. Maybe one day I will actually get that one way ticket! Life can be crazy!

Back in 2020 my little sister asked that I sing this at her wedding, as she was walking down the aisle which was a great memory. I always try to make each song unique, and this one is one that has always stood out to me. An upbeat elaborate melody, and I just took a deep breath counted in four and went with it, fighting a stupid stuck key on my 60's Baldwin too lol, but I just kept going! I still love you little stuck key. The joy in all of this...is in those few minutes of a song...I'm gone from it all!

I had a thought many years ago about life being like a hurricane, just a never ending cycle. It crossed my mind again the other day, and after a little while behind the 88, this thing poured out. Its all about the right timing. I started writing this May 8th, a few lines in the evening, then after an unexpected late night the rest followed. This song explains a lot over the years. She'll always be my queen. I hope you enjoy this live recording I did late last night on the old trusty Baldwin. Sometimes all it takes is three little chords. Feels good to upload another song! I recently moved into an old house, close to a river, it has character, I love it cause I put my old baldwin on it's original wood floors it has in the living room, love the acoustics especially with higher ceilings, I'm so thankful:) A new beginning. 

I recorded this live take late last night, close to 2am, got it my first full take, which is always nice!
I wrote this song back in 2021. An experience definitely inspired this song. Things can sure feel like heaven for awhile, then there's that tough surprise, after giving and sacrificing so much. I hope you enjoy this song, thanks so much for listening!:)

A little song called Glow I wrote around 2018 timeframe. It's one of those that came together over time, especially the chorus, it was one of those back burner unfinished songs, but certainly never forgotten. I've always enjoyed playing this melody.  I made a few minor changes not long ago, with the arrangement and a few lyrics, and it really feels complete...finally. Glow (Original Song Live)

Lately I've been working on a piano version to this song, I love it on guitar but had to give it the feelings from those eighty eight keys. It's similar to the other version but has some different flares and melody from the keys, which I liked. Also, I sang it a bit different too, it's just what the keys do.  I did this live recording way late last night close to 3am. I thank a beauty that wishes to remain unknown, for the really incredible heartfelt lyrics.  Gave it my all, and gave it the best melody I could, cause where the lyrics came from just means the world to me...Her sweet heart, and this song will forever be incredibly special to me. Dark Roads (Original Song Live)

So every Friday my Mom sings and speaks at an assisted living facility and when I don't have a job, I go and hear her. It brings me so much joy. I'm so proud of her! She is such a blessing there. She has been an impact there, sharing the powerful word of God. She's such a gifted singer. Beautiful anointed voice! We have sang some songs together which has been some amazing memories indeed. I've shared some of my Christian songs as well. My Dad was there as well today and started recording from his phone when we were all singing Amazing Grace together. I was sitting next to him, singing lower, I wasn't aware it picked me and my Mom up together so well, she was so happy about it, and I was like I'm posting this on SoundCloud:) My Dad started recording on the 2nd verse, but we do go back and sing the 1st verse again. I'm so glad he decided to record this. The tapping sound occasionally is me tapping the song book, the drummer in me.  I hope this blesses you. I had to share such a precious memory:) The pic is a screenshot from the video. This past year, going to hear and support my Mom has been so great, I'm thankful. God bless you all!

Amazing Grace live with my Mom

I'm so thankful to be a songwriter! Feels good to express like this. Just letting loose! This by far is the most different song I've ever written. Circumstances can hit you in crazy ways. Who would've thought my favorite dinosaur would be the title of a song lol. It surprised me but I went with it. The glorious Ankylosaurus, built like a tank. There are some very cold hearts out there, that tell lies, that are just so cruel, that betray, wanting to cause harm. Go ahead, try...because you'll just break your teeth on me...goodbye. Thanks for the song:) I've become an Ankylosaurus. This song was inspired from quite a few situations that happened within the past year. For all those out there who have encountered, conquered and moved on from those kinds of people, people who are really just unhappy.  Hey, you're an Ankylosaurus too! Ankylosaurus (Original Song Live)

My newest song I wrote Sep 30, in the wee hours of the night, 1-3am... A few lyrics came to me awhile back, I usually always come up with a melody first then the lyrics, but this time happened differently, once I hit the D chord then another, it all just came together very fast, as a songwriter, these unexpected nights always amaze me, I've never been the type to say oh I'm gonna write a song today...they've always just came to me. These were feelings that weighed very  heavily on me almost a year ago now, strange how I wrote this now...guess it's a closure song that I needed deep down. Sometimes things can just surface.  I hope someone out there can relate. Recorded live tonight on my 60's Baldwin, Rode NT1 mic, hooked into a Tascam Portacapture x8. Thanks so much for listening!! Stronger (Orginal Song Live)

My Mamaw Polly was truly gifted by God. She was a legend in Llano, Texas. August 5th is "Polly Morgan Day" here. I have such fond memories of her, and am so thankful to have been with her so much this past year.  I shot a video of her playing my piano back in 2013, I ripped the audio from it, and wanted to share so you can all hear how her hands danced across those keys. I was always in awe every time I saw her play.  My Mom said she would always say "Just give it to God" whatever you are going through, "Just give it to God" it's so true and has helped me a lot. I miss her...but I know I will see her again one day, up in Heaven where she is in her mansion, by a crystal sea, playing her golden grand piano.

Hey! Thanks for stopping by!:) All recordings done on my old Baldwin piano that my amazingly talented grandma gave me. I'd like to think it holds some magic. All original songs, recorded live. I took a few years of classical lessons when I was very young. Fond memories bicycling down E. Brown street to my lessons. Dearest Faye...sweetest teacher ever. 

Throughout the years I'd always tinker on my Mom's old 1900 Ludwig piano through passing, playing songs I had learned, like Fur Elise and The Spinning Song, but it wasn't till I was in college when I fell in love with those keys. There was an old upright in the student center that I'd sneak off to late at night, and ever since then the playing has never stopped, and it never will. I never knew I could even make up melodies, let alone write a song. What a therapy it has been over the years, expressing myself through experiences, and feelings of the hopeless romantic in me. God is good! I'm so thankful. I hope to connect with many and make new friends. Hope you enjoy the songs!:)
