UNCAGE founder Marco Faraone makes his second appearance on Rekids with a massive vocal cut entitled ‘On My Way’, featuring a remix from 50Weapons and Hyperdub’s Addison Groove.

The Italian techno producer had an active year touring in 2017, dropping only one release on Tenax Recordings. However, 2018 is already proving to be one of his busiest on the production front, with releases appearing on Rekids Special Projects, On Edge Society and his own label UNCAGE, not to mention forthcoming appearances on Gigolo and Avotre. He now returns to Rekids with his biggest sounding record yet.

With its infectious vocal, rolling kicks and off-beat hats, it is undeniable that ‘On My Way’ is destined to become one of this year’s most recognisable club tracks. On the flip, Bristolian producer and Swamp 81 affiliate Addison Groove has produced an intricate remix featuring a cacophony of percussion as a stuttering low-end joins chilling synths. Finally, Faraone concludes the package with a ‘Dub Acid Rework’, losing the vocals whilst incorporating heady 303 licks.

Premiere: Adam X - Earth Base One [Sonic Groove]

The UK-born but Berlin-based producer BNJMN (@bnjmnnn) releases his first album since seven years. Released under the famous Dutch label @DelsinRecords, the Hypnagogia LP is a ten-tracker that takes BNJMN towards more hypnotic and soothing soundscapes. 

Monument premieres the second part of the name track Hypnagogia from the album, that will be out on November 19th.

A short episode of Radar Blips to catch up on promos that have hit the Bass Agenda inbox recently. As always take each 'blip' as a signal to dig deeper into what these artists and labels are doing. Of particular note is Kirill Junolainen's project VEF Radio - a little funky intro kicks off this episode - the full album is excellent and well worth exploring. Jace Syntax's forthcoming album on RF (Rennie Foster's label) is fantastic - varied, rich and so well crafted - get ready for that. The Horn's track is a nice funky number with some jazzy vibes - taken from Musical Mastication 3 on Myoptik's label. Well worth checking out the Musical Mastication series of compilations - massive and eclectic as it gets! There's a pre-promo in here from Serotonin here too (Neurotic Drum Band) - thanks to Jason and John for sending that. A little taste of the forthcoming greatness from Go Nuclear's 'Necrophilia' EP and more. Enjoy!

Myoptik - Ping Discs Showcase for Modulations

Myoptik’s podcast is a mix that he has made entirely using tracks from his Ping-discs label, so ALL of the tracks are available on albums at the myoptik bandcamp site, https://myoptik.bandcamp.com

Lots of the tracks are taken from the eclectic compilations Musical Mastication Volumes 1-4 and Leap Year Jamboree, but there’s also other Ping-discs tracks in there too.

Over the course of one and three-quarter hours he has managed to squeeze in great tunes by the likes of Roy Of The Ravers, Cursor Miner, The Horn, Misterben, Myoptik, Bedouin Ascent, Nanobot, Southfacing, Peata Out and many many others, including plenty of surreal splatterings from Shrimpsalad.

It’s a real journey, but hopefully a fun one for anyone who takes the ride. It’s certainly not your average mix…!!

It's been a long time coming to say the least but here is the first Stazma full length album in more than 10 years.

"Shapeshifter takes it's name from my will to move forward. Trying not to repeat the same formula over and over, giving new shapes to my music whilst retaining a
breakcore attitude.

This album is an exploration of all the music that I have enjoyed the most over the last five years. I had to digest a lot of different influences and let myself
break from my habits to create all those tracks."

From the cold dubby echos of "Glimpses", to the heavy dark ambient drones of "ENd...", this records it is to be taken in it's full form, it has been thought as whole "story".

We hope you will be enjoying this and that it will draw more attention to Concrete Collage, so we can bring more exposure to new and less well-known artists.

The Bristol resident has been mostly releasing tracks on compilations for labels such as Gablonkers , Calcul and Evel Records. He caught our attention with a very disctinctive melodic style and skillful intricate drum programming.

This is probably one of the most calm and beautiful releases on the label so far, we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Deerhill - Hypersensitivity [TCM009]

A new transmission has reached us from the Woodpecking Mantis galaxy.

It seems our favorite alien insects is a little bit less angry than when we first encoutered him, but he still has some weird things to say. It also decided to speak to us for longer than last time and divided his synthesized speech in no less than eight time frames.

We can hear that our galactic friend is getting used to this musical language of ours. Heavily tortured breakbeats and analog drum machines are his main way of talking but FM sparkles and acid drips are never too far.

We are happy to deliver this message to you !

Brainlores Vol.2

CC021 - Woodpecking Mantis - Brainlores Vol.2 - Promomix

Days, weeks and months passed without any word; all avenues of communication had run dry. It was as though he'd disappeared into thin air, leaving no trace behind him. Taking matters into their own hands, they began their detective work, leaving no stone unturned. But after following all of their leads his whereabouts remained shrouded in mystery. They wouldn't give up that easily though; the search would continue until they had their answer. 

A year after his first EP, Is This EBM?, Geneva's Brainwaves crew are gearing up for the release of Thomas Bodenständig's sophomore album, Speed Am Rhein. But the label are releasing it with mixed emotions. In May they received a box of 66 hand-numbered cassettes from Thomas, along with a largely illegible letter that seemed to detail that he was delving in high-speed trading during visits to Franfurt and had some sort of pulmonary affliction with complications. It outlined one final ask of the label — no matter what happened they must release the album before the end of 2020. 

Since receiving the package, they have had countless failed attempts at contacting him through every possible line of communication, but to no avail. His apartment in Leverkusen is now vacant, his favourite barstool in his local is gathering dust and his cellar seems to have been emptied of all of his recording equipment. They enlisted their friend to go and scour the streets and the bars, and even checked local hospital and morgue records for his name, but it's as if he's vanished off the face of the earth. 

The label are still searching for his whereabouts and they won't be giving up until they do, but on Thomas' instructions, and after six months of no news, they are releasing the album into the world with a mixture of sadness, pride and nostalgia...

PREMIERE: Thomas Bodenständig - Langsam Leverkusen [Brainwaves]

We are extremely pleased to welcome Tescon Pol on Concrete Collage with this first LP.

We have been deeply surprised by the mixture of styles that emerge from the duo's music, managing to be both very abstract while retaining a "pop" feeling. We will leave the name droping to you when trying to describe their music to your friends.

Gai Lan is a long journey made of shattered rhythms, cold digital melodies and spectral words; sung, spoken or absent.
