41 track all vinyl mix of Early Terror/Terror, mostly 90's and the rest released just the other side of the 2000's. Starting at the more "standard" hardcore speed and building up to a Speedcore finish. A few classics scattered throughout amongst some more (perhaps) underplayed tunes like those from the UK/Dutch "angry face" NSA connection for example. Image and title should give a pretty good indication of what to expect and is of course inspired by one of the tracks.

This was me and Oirad's set for NNS 10th anniversary. 100% vinyl e testate.

3rd digital mix for this private party. Which I fabricated rather quickly as I really wanted to do something too that night. Which was fun. I also suprised myself a bit, as I mixed faster as before. with 23 traxx in 46 minutes. It is however a home recording as digital hardware screwed me over at the party... 

Selection wise I was inspired by UK events like Species & North. But with no particulair set(s) or artist(s) in mind. Stylewise it's a mixture of more industrial & terror styled hardcore. 

Going from 215 to 248 BPM...

Pardonax @ Sedation [05//07//2025]

When I got into this scene in late 2011/early 2012 for me the road I took was Early Hardcore almost from the start... It had more interesting sounds, better samples and variation in energy. Atleast from what my perspective of it was compared to the then mainstream & millenium sound.

I quickly looked up CDs for those specific less played / used or just CD only traxx. But after awhile I wanted more. I heard some traxx of S37 & Sonic Overkill. They combined what I loved about metal/punk (where I came from originally...) into a more intense sound. I've got to know this as Early Terror (as we called it in NL) and then I started to focus more and more on such sounds. 

People like Miss Zelda, Frantic Freak (yes, really), Xearo, Soulkeeper, Rienos, Flowcreatorz (also individually as B-Shock & Freaky Flow), Da Machinery & Toxic Den made me discover alot of this when I started my musical journey. And made me make sure to look deeper than others would do... This mix is dedicated to them!

Eventually I would also start to look past the 1990s period for good hardcore. But most had a strong resemblance to this Early Terror sound. And went deeper and deeper. Yet I still always had a soft spot for the normal Early Hardcore (92-99ish period). So for a long time I told myself I would do a retrospective mix. 

In this mix are traxx that defined my taste and filled my need to look deeper as the generic ID&T style "hitjes" compilations... These traxx are still as good as they were 10+ years ago for me. 

So enjoy this 50/50 mix which honours the roots of myself (& perhaps... others?) 47min. of early hardcore and 47min. of early terror... Only from the period 1992-1999, no bullshit.

These days most aren't that unknown but hey... Who cares. I bet some of you will hear new traxx anyway. Expect some mistakes too! :)

Mixes are all vinyl only. Setup is a pair of turntables and basic no frills mixer... archaic certainly but I like to keep things simple.

Been into Hardcore Techno/Gabber since '97 after getting a DJ Producer Dreamscape 23 tape and Bass Generator Hardcore Heaven Ravers Choice. Same year found a Thunderdome 1 -5 Megamix CD and discovered the Mokum series which is where my love for harder music began.

A few years later after listening to all the usual suspects found on any Technodrome lineup and events like Deathrow Techno, North etc, I started buying the tunes. Always favoured the acid laced Clarkee sets and Trance infused Dolphin ones but love all of them including "the Mu... the Mu... the Music Maker" for more 'outthere' Industrial/Speedcore stuff. Still have the same passion and level of enjoyment digging for tunes especially unsolved ID's and forgotten/hidden gems.

Subsequent years leaning towards Hard Acid & Acidcore for the more insanity inducing extreme 303's and generally darker atmosphere from the likes of Lasse Steen, Somatic Responses, Zekt, Agro, Drop Bass Network, Direct Drive, Labworks and the swamp-like-grungy acid on Cologne's DJ.Ungle Fever.
A soft spot for Mark EG, M-Zone & Vortex Hard Trance. Also the UK mish-mash Acid Trance/Hard-Nrg/Hard House sound... VCF, Choci's Chewns, Bosca Beats, Public House, Eve/Telica etc, Acid Techno - tend to stick to the 90's stuff I grew up with and Classic Trancecore - so a bit of everything really.

Much greater appreciation now for Techno/Trance & Acid spun by the likes of Aggressor, Warlock, Aztek, Colin Faver, Colin Dale, Mach 1, Trevor Rockcliffe, Daz Saund and Ribbz of course. I enjoy listening to these sets a lot more now that I'm older than I did the first time around and it opens up a whole new world of tunes to hunt down.
