Dante s'inspire à la fois de la terminologie chrétienne des sept péchés capitaux mais aussi de l'éthique d'Aristote. L'enfer a la forme d'un c?ne renversé composé de cercles. Chaque cercle est gardé par un personnage mythologique, en général devenu Démon. Lucifer, ange déchu, se trouve au centre de la terre, le lieu le plus éloigné de Dieu. Le vestibule des lèches : Aux portes de l'enfer se trouve le vestibule des lèches et des anges neutres, qui ne sont ni pour ni contre Dieu. Ces esprits neutres et lèches sont sans cesse harcelés par des taons et des guêpes qui les aiguillonnent vainement. C'est la foule de l'humanité passive qui est ainsi conspuée.
Le haut et le bas enfer: Le haut enfer (cercles 1 à 5) regroupe les pêcheurs d'incontinence (ex passione). Le bas enfer (cercles 6 à 9) dans l"enceinte de la cité de Dit?, l?ange du mal, également appelé Lucifer, regroupe les pêcheurs de malice (ex electione). Caron, démon aux yeux de braise est chargé de faire traverser l'Achéron, un fleuve qui sépare le vestibule du premier cercle du haut enfer.

- Le 1er cercle: Le Limbe
Le Limbe regroupe les justes qui ne sont pas baptisés et qui vivent dans le désir sans aucune espérance.

- Le 2ème cercle: La Luxure
Minos, ancien roi de Crête, devenu démon ail?, sombre et barbu, avec de longs serpents qui s'enroulent sur ses jambes, juge les âmes qui se présentent en enfer. Le jugement est rendu en 8 tours de queue et l'âme se retrouve sur le cercle qui correspond à son pêché. Les luxurieux, condamnés pour avoir commis le pêché de chair, sont jeté brutalement dans tous les sens.
- Le 3ème cercle: Les Gourmands
Les Cerb?res, des monstres ail?s, aux jambes de boucs, à la queue de chien, avec quatre bras et 3 têtes de chiens, gardent les gourmands qui sont soumis continuellement à une pluie éternelle froide, à de la grêle, à de la neige. Cerb?re, amadoué par un gâteau proposé par Deiphob? et Psych?, a fauté en laissant pénétrer des mortels dans le royaume des morts.
- Le 4ème cercle : Les Avares et les Prodigues
Pluton garde les avares et les prodigues. La peine est identique pour ces 2 groupes qui roulent continuellement des poids et s'injurient de troupes à troupes. Ces poids représentent les richesses mal amassées ou mal dépensées.

- Le 5eme cercle : Les Colériques, les Rancuniers, les Mélancoliques
Avec le 5ème cercle on entre dans le bas enfer, la cité de Dit?, gardée par de grandes murailles, auquel on accède en traversant le Styx (un marais boueux) avec la barque de Phl?gias, d?mon cornu et ail?. Irrité par Apollon, Phl?gias avait mis le feu au temple de Dieu : il est le mod?le m?me de la col?re excessive. Les col?reux sont plus ou moins plong?s dans la vase du Styx et ne peuvent parler distinctement : sous l?empire de la col?re, les paroles s??tranglent dans le gosier.

- Le 6ème cercle : Les Hérétiques
Les h?r?tiques couch?s dans des tombes ?ternellement br?lantes sont gard?s par des femmes d?mons, les Furies (M?g?re, Alecto, Tisiphon) aussi appel?es Erinnyes dans la version latine. Les furies sont coiff?es de serpents.


- Le 7?me cercle : Les Violents.
Dans un 1?r giron, le Minotaure, moiti? homme, moiti? taureau, symbole de la barbarie en Gr?ce, garde les violents contre leur prochain dans un fleuve de sang br?lant (le Phl?g?ton). On y trouve Alexandre, Denys, Attila, Pyrrhus, Sextus. D?autres violents sont cribl?s de fl?ches par les Centaures, des ?tre moiti? cheval, moiti? taureau. Dans un 2?me giron on trouve les suicid?s, des violents contre eux-m?mes qui sont transform?s en buissons dans la for?t des Harpies monstres aux corps d?oiseaux et t?tes de femmes, perch?s sur les arbres. Les Harpies enl?vent des feuilles aux arbres des suicid?s, ce qui en fait un supplice atroce. Contrairement ? la sagesse grecque, Dante ne reconna?t aucune l?gitimit? au suicide. Les dissipateurs sont d?chir?s par des chiennes. Dans un 3?me giron, on trouve les violents contre Dieu et contre la nature, les blasph?mateurs, les usuriers assis sur le sable br?lant, les violents contre l?art, les violents contre la nature, les sodomites qui courent continuellement.


- Le 8?me cercle : Les Fraudeurs
Les fraudeurs et trompeurs en tout genre sont gard?s dans des trous ou des puits par les Malebolges (encore des d?mons). Dans un 1er Bolge, les ruffians et s?ducteurs sont fouett?s. Dans le 2?me Bolge, on trouve les adulateurs qui vivent dans la fiente humaine. Le 3?me Bolge est r?serv? aux simoniaques, hautes autorit?s eccl?siastiques qui ont trafiqu? des choses saintes en d?tournant ? leur profit les biens de l??glise. Ils sont plong?s la t?te en bas dans des trous, des flammes leur br?lent la plante des pieds et seront enfonc?s compl?tement par le suivant. Au 4?me Bolge, les devins ont la t?te tourn?e ? l?envers, ils marchent en arri?re. Au 5?me Bolge, ceux qui se sont livr?s ? des trafics v?reux sont jet?s dans la poix bouillante et se font harponner par les Malebolges. Au 6?me Bolge, les hypocrites portent de lourdes charges dor?es avec du plomb ? l?int?rieur. Au 7?me Bolge les voleurs des choses de Dieu sont tourment?s par des serpents qui leur lient les mains dans le dos. Au 8?me Bolge, les conseillers perfides sont envelopp?s par les flammes. Au 9?me Bolge, les semeurs de discorde ou de schismes sont coup?s et divis?s. Mahomet est ?ventr? et son disciple Ali voit son visage fendu. Bertrand de Born qui donna au roi des conseils perfides porte sa t?te coup?e en guise de lanterne. Au 10?me Bolge, les alchimistes, falsificateurs de m?taux sont couverts de gale et de l?pre. Les falsificateurs de personnes sont des fous furieux qui se d?chirent entre eux. Les falsificateurs de monnaies deviennent des hydropiques d?vor?s par la soif. Les falsificateurs de paroles sont en proie ? une fi?vre aigu?. Le puit des G?ants Dante et Virgile d?couvrent le puit des g?ants : Nemrod qui f?t ? l?origine de la tour de Babel est transform? en tour et r?duit ? n?articuler qu?un galimatias incompr?hensible. Ephialtes ne peut plus bouger le bras qu?il avait brandi contre jupiter. Ant?e libre de ses mouvements est pri? par Virgile de d?poser Dante au fond du 9?me cercle de l?enfer.


- Le 9?me cercle ou le Cocyte glac? : Les Tra?tres.
1ere subdivision de Ca?n : La Caina. On trouve les tra?tres envers leurs parents qui grelottent t?te baiss?e dans la glace ?ternelle. 2?me subdivision d?Ant?nor : L?Antenora. On trouve les tra?tres envers leur patrie qui grelottent t?te baiss?e dans la glace ?ternelle comme dans la Caina. L?archev?que Ruggieri a un sort particulier. Il se fait d?vorer le cerveau par Ugolin qui se venge ainsi parce qu?il a peut ?tre d? manger les cadavres de ses enfants dans la vie r?elle ? cause de l?archev?que. 3?me subdivision de Ptol?m?e : La Tolomea. On trouve les tra?tres envers leurs h?tes ou leur parti qui grelottent t?te renvers?e en arri?re et que le gel emp?che de pleurer, leurs pieds g?lent aussi. Ils ont le privil?ge particuli?rement terrible de descendre en enfer avant leur mort. Leur corps reste sur terre habit? par un d?mon, ce qui est inqui?tant pour les vivants. 4?me subdivision de Judas : La Guidecca. On trouve les tra?tres envers leurs bienfaiteurs. Ils sont enti?rement recouverts de glace. Cette r?gion est une calotte sph?rique au milieu de laquelle est plant? le colossal Lucifer dont le nombril est au centre de la terre. Lucifer est entrain de broyer t?te la premi?re les trois plus grand tra?tres de l?histoire selon Dante: Judas Iscariote tra?tre envers J?sus, Brutus et Cassius, tra?tres envers C?sar.


[DEST.W01] Neurocore - La Divine Comédie - l'enfer

In 2014 I created a tribute mix for the music of Mouse and No Name (also known as Auto-Psy and Erase Head, or "The Michelson Sisters"). It spread around the internet quite quickly, was re-posted by many famous DJs and producers (and other people), and is by far my most listened-to mix - all plays combined, it has something like 18,000 plays in total.
As the point of my tribute mixes is to put music from the past that is often overlooked or pushed aside in favor of other (and probably lesser) music into view again, I hope with that mix I maybe succeeded a bit.
But the output of these marvelous producers is more vast than what could be featured in one mix.
So it was due time to do a follow-up to the original mix, many years later, that focused on other output by these two - who are, in my opinion, two of the best, most creative, and most awe-aspiring producers ever!
To give a bit of background and info to Mouse and No Name for those who might not be familiar with them yet (but how could that be possible?) I included the text I wrote for my original mix, too:

i have always been intrigued by the music of stella and poka michelson. to me, it is some of the most complex, complicated, intelligent music ever made. levels and levels of beats; noize; ambiance; abstraction; is built on top of each other. they're so far away from the "dumb gabber" and "speedcore" most people think of when the word 'hardcore' is mentioned. is this hardcore? is that even techno? it is more like art - real art, abstract, maybe it would belong more to a gallery, a museum, than to a party were people dance - if museums wouldn't be so boring!
i can't find many artists that could compare to this. the sheer level of complexity is overwhelming. some of the best somatic responses productions could compare - in complexity and experimentation of sounds. or the most intricate construction of underground PCP via acardipane. yet, maybe it is not right to compare this music - as it plays in its own universe. frantic noise, shrill, alien screams - often driven home by a powerful bassdrums, and killer punctured beats and hits. for some reason, i never compared this so much with other music, but to other forms of art, movies, pictures. this would fit well to dystopian cyberpunk picture, an onslaught of screeching robots pacing through a destroyed, wrecked industrial wasteland.
there are so many things i am missing in most hardcore that are in the michelsons' productions; changes of beats, tempo, complex track structures with many twists, beginnings, endings, turnarounds. lengthy intros of weird noises, laughter, ambient drones. some michelson records fetch high sums at collectors at this time, and rightfully so.
while many other of their contemporary artists around their decades became quite "famous" by now, known also to the dreaded "gabber" and "breakcore" crowd, the michelson sisters still seem to be kind of a secret hint, with a cult following. yet, they are already legends, in their regard, in their own way.

28 track all vinyl mix of mostly UK flavoured Hardcore Techno/Gabber from 97-98 with less than a handful of tunes either side of those years. There's a few obvious and instantly recognizable Technodrome classics as played (or rather caned) by the usual suspects with one record/track in particular being somewhat of a  Scorpio favourite and is of course what inspired the title of the mix... never seen a black version! Some tunes have received the 45 treatment in keeping with the UK style of that period but kept to a minimum.

29 track all vinyl mix of mostly Dutch Gabber/Hardcore with a brief UK abduction (as you might guess from the pic). The majority of records are 1996 releases with a dozen or so either side and the oldest tracks Chosen from '93. Bit of a trancey infused appetizer to start with followed by some tunes on the bouncier side of things before getting into the main dish. Tried to stay away as much as possible from any of the bona fide Technodrome anthems (still sneaked in a few classics) in favour of the more underplayed tunes which no doubt any tape pack trainspotters will pick out straight away.

Core25 - 90's Gabber Mystic Reality Mix

33 track all vinyl mix of classic oldschool Schranz/Hardtechno from the mid 2000's. Includes some of the classics in the genre that regularly appeared on Boris S, Matt M. Maddox, Robert Natus etc mix CD's and the various compilation series from that era. Was into the first waves/generation of Schranz that more closely aligned with "standard" hard techno/techno rather than later years when it became more "hardcorerized" with increasing bpm's and a lot of the labels went digital. A few Dutch tunes from The Hague used from DJ unfriendly white coloured vinyl (Protocast) with those artists being more well known for their output in another style that's close to my heart and as far as my listening habits go are still vastly underplayed.

Mixes are all vinyl only. Setup is a pair of turntables and basic no frills mixer... archaic certainly but I like to keep things simple.

Been into Hardcore Techno/Gabber since '97 after getting a DJ Producer Dreamscape 23 tape and Bass Generator Hardcore Heaven Ravers Choice. Same year found a Thunderdome 1 -5 Megamix CD and discovered the Mokum series which is where my love for harder music began.

A few years later after listening to all the usual suspects found on any Technodrome lineup and events like Deathrow Techno, North etc, I started buying the tunes. Always favoured the acid laced Clarkee sets and Trance infused Dolphin ones but love all of them including "the Mu... the Mu... the Music Maker" for more 'outthere' Industrial/Speedcore stuff. Still have the same passion and level of enjoyment digging for tunes especially unsolved ID's and forgotten/hidden gems.

Subsequent years leaning towards Hard Acid & Acidcore for the more insanity inducing extreme 303's and generally darker atmosphere from the likes of Lasse Steen, Somatic Responses, Zekt, Agro, Drop Bass Network, Direct Drive, Labworks and the swamp-like-grungy acid on Cologne's DJ.Ungle Fever.
A soft spot for Mark EG, M-Zone & Vortex Hard Trance. Also the UK mish-mash Acid Trance/Hard-Nrg/Hard House sound... VCF, Choci's Chewns, Bosca Beats, Public House, Eve/Telica etc, Acid Techno - tend to stick to the 90's stuff I grew up with and Classic Trancecore - so a bit of everything really.

Much greater appreciation now for Techno/Trance & Acid spun by the likes of Aggressor, Warlock, Aztek, Colin Faver, Colin Dale, Mach 1, Trevor Rockcliffe, Daz Saund and Ribbz of course. I enjoy listening to these sets a lot more now that I'm older than I did the first time around and it opens up a whole new world of tunes to hunt down.
