is a musician, producer, DJ and LIVE act from Buenos Aires, Argentina, focusing in electronic music and world music, combining modular and analog synthesizers with real and weird percussion sounds creating a unique atmosphere making every track an acid and psychedelic voyage through Latin-American nature and culture.

Next up in our mix series, "Ears to the Underground", is the amazing Nevena Stankovic.

Nevena Stankovic aka Tsunamica is a digger, selector, vinyl collector, journalist, radio host, DJ, party starter... but above all, an absolute music lover with a PhD in Political Science from Belgrade, Serbia.
     Her interest in music began very early, as a child, she started to play the piano and completed music school. Her love for music developed rapidly as well as modern technology, the piano was soon replaced by turntables and music consoles. 

     If we have to choose a word that represents her style and vision, that would be “eclectic”. She plays whatever suits her at the moment, her sound is seductive that goes from the most elegant downtempo and chillout to deep hypnotic and Balearic beats. Passing through a slow-burning cosmic disco, acid house, and freaky space sounds ‘till explosive Italo bombs and late 70s and 80s the wildest disco and Yugo jewels which is resulting in a cosmic mixture that makes her sets a real interplanetary experience.

She likes to blend genres and epochs, strong beats with smooth acid-tinged melodies, traditional and ethnic with modern and tribal sounds. Her exotic downtempo and slo-mo selections are influenced by a multitude of cultures from around the world. A fusion of musical styles and her solar mood are always keeping her in good vibes and well connected with the club crowds, whilst the club scene is paying attention to what comes next on her turntables. 

 DJ-ing for more than 10 years and involved in the underground music scene for over 15 years, there are no Dj names of the scene's prime movers and shakers that she has not been involved alongside with them in some way - hosting, djing, promoting.
 Inspired by true visionaries and learned from the bests such as Jose Padilla,  Andrew Weatherall  her selections and mixing are skillful, recognizable and very unique, guided by the heart.

  Currently, she is broadcasting a weekly radio show about Balearic and Chillout music, named The Sunset Lovers on Ibiza radio, where she is showcasting regular mixes from high-caliber guests. She is also hosting another resident show 'Cosmic Carousel' on radio D59B, where she is presenting more obscure cosmic disco records taking her audience on real intergalactic journeys.

Astroloop is more than just a musical project; it's the brainchild of a passionate artist named Gabriele Lori, whose love affair with the diverse realms of electronic music runs deep. Nestled within the vibrant tapestry of the Feste Preziose festival, Gabriele assumes the role of a resident DJ, seeking that elusive sweet spot where grooves and melodies intertwine seamlessly. The journey of Astroloop commenced back in 2017, a path paved with earlier projects, including captivating radioshows and unforgettable nights in pulsating clubs. It all came together with the release of the debut vinyl gem, "Svegsy. EP," which found its home on the legendary Freerange Records, curated by none other than the esteemed Jimpster.

Fast forward to 2023, and Gabriele's artistic voyage took a thrilling leap into the realm of Disco Halal, a realm crafted by the illustrious Moscoman. This adventure followed a string of remarkable musical releases, having left their indelible mark on labels like Curses Ombra International and Modular Project's Nothing is Real.

Astroloop's sonic odyssey continues to evolve, resonating with the hearts of music enthusiasts worldwide, all thanks to the visionary passion and dedication of Gabriele Lori. Counter, the antithesis, and Terra, the Earth, symbolise our ceaseless battle to navigate the tumultuous sea of a world in disarray. 

Week after week, we invite a guest, a luminary of the electronic music realm, to share their melodies and tales. These auditory odysseys become the score for our uncharted lives.

Amidst a world veering from its familiar course, we embrace it. We dance to a new rhythm, a reminder that even in a world turned strange and unrecognisable, our connection to the Earth and one another is a tether to acceptance. Life, it seemed, had taken a different path, and we, in the harmonious discord of Counterterraism, found an unconventional beauty.
