Written by G.K. Gavan "The Galway Poet" for the English music hall performer Harry Clifton in the 19th century, Rocky Road to Dublin is a 9/8 slip jig. Time has changed the lyrics and has abbreviated the verses. It is now a standard for many Irish bands and performers. This is my own arrangement with percussion played on the face of the guitar.
