Our latest episode welcomes a massive link-up from two French producers currently making waves of seismic proportions, Beatrice M. & Trois-Quarts Taxi System. An hour of ground-shattering bassweight and ear-catching percussive flurries, including plenty of unreleased material from Beatrice's Bait label, captures the pair in their primal element and demonstrates exactly why these two names are seemly on everyone's minds at the moment. Caroune is a London-based DJ and the co-founder of Osmura record label, event and mix series.
From ambient/dub to deep techno and drum & bass, she blends the genres to create mystical journeys. For the past year Caroune has played at underground events in London and Paris. She hosted her first Osmura night in July 2024 at the Baths in Hackney where she played alongside international and local artists. This week, her label Osmura saw the release of its first various artists EP “Lucid Haze” comprising of dubby, organic and percussive sounds across six European artists.With dubby, bassy and tribal sounds, her cozy mix is an invitation to a meditative dance.

1. How and why did you get into producing / dj’ing?

I started dj’ing in 2022 right after covid. It came from the desire to share my music discoveries to a wider audience. I first started playing at friends’ parties and slowly moved to the club scene. My first gig was at Dalson Den last year. Shortly after I met Cosi at work and we decided to create ‘Osmura’ to be able to share our passion for music with others. We first started as a podcast channel and then turned into a night series and record label.

2. Who, What/where was your most coziest gig you've been to or experienced and why?

It was Agonis Live set at Monument festival this year. His mystical, hypnotic sound resonated so well in the Norwegian valley. You could imagine yourself surrounded by wolves and other mysterious creatures from the forest. It’s an experience that I will never forget, and which inspires me a lot.

3. Do you consider yourself an introvert or extrovert in the scene?

I would say that I’m both an introvert and an extrovert. I love meeting people from the scene during events and festivals, I find everyone’s experience very inspiring. But sometimes I feel that I could be networking more, it doesn’t feel as natural to me as it is for other people :)

4. If you had to choose 1 track to vibe out too forever, what would it be?

5. What is your routine when preparing for a gig / production/writing session? Do you have any special remedies/ mental/physical prep/ places to go to? :)

When I prepare my music for a gig, I always try to imagine the space and the crowd. Playing music in a club is about communicating with people. I would often prepare a tracklist which I would adapt based on the mood and the audience.

The day of the gig, I would go for a morning run to release my stress and boost my confidence.

Launching the first episode are two distinguished guests whose styles embody Heka's vision: Sandra Mason and Marco Ragni. Together, they open this new chapter with sounds that drift, pulse, and unfold—inviting listeners into a shared space of curiosity, transformation, and deep listening.

Veneto-born, Rome-based Sandra Mason—aka Enrica Borsatto—is known for her finely tuned ear and adventurous selections. Now co-hosting Horny Music for Ambient People on Radio Raheem and running the hallucinatory YouTube portal Cocktail Naïf, she delves deep into obscure sonic terrain spanning ambient, wave, psychedelia, and the avant-garde. She also makes up one half of Fondazione, her ambient duo with writer Francesco Pacifico. A regular at Fanfulla, Magick Bar, and other key venues, and with her role at Ultrasuoni Records, she remains a vital presence in Rome’s thriving underground scene.

Marco Ragni arrives with decades of deep involvement in Italy’s underground. From Serendipity club to Dancity festival, from the hypnotic blends of Plants Army Revolver to his involvement in projects like Rumore Bianco, his sets dissolve borders between ambient, tribal, and techno, drawing from a rich past that includes founding the legendary Mondo Muzique shop and being one of the minds behind Sintesi festival.

Avsluta is a London-based sound artist, DJ, live performer and event curator navigating the liminal spaces between ambient and dance music. For the past 10 years, Lucie has been deepening her musical knowledge working behind the counter at Phonica Records, catering to London’s ambient, downtempo and deep dance music heads. She is the founder of Introspective Electronics, a platform featuring regular radio shows, guest podcast series and listening events, and together with producer and DJ Alicia, she runs cozy club night series Terra Obscura.

As a DJ and producer, her work navigates both listening and dance realms, fluidly moving in between chill-out rooms, clubs and festival dancefloors. Tuning into the energy of the people and spaces, the performances are fuelled by dialog, intuition and improvisation.
