Very well composed piece akin to a threnody for strings. Expansive sound with well placed dissonances that resolve beautifully.

I see open fields and a background of a nostalgic tale... there is a conflict between the low and the high strings. Like the bass emphasis. There is reconciliation  at the end..

The open arrangement of the strings in the beginning and the sharp register of the violins give a lot of expressiveness. I like it!
