Muck-Ross is a sound art project which explores the events of the 1959 Mona Lifeboat Disaster. It features music and production by Nathan Fordyce-Wright and voice acting by Daniel Beaton, Sarah Keiller and Nathan Fordyce-Wright.

Creative Dundee is sharing this piece as part of a collection of work by University of Dundee School of Humanities students creating responses to the Dundee Cultural Recovery Report.

Becca Clark and Su Shaw of dundee radio club share reflections on their experience of the Community Idea Fund – an annual fund supported by Creative Dundee's Amps Network.

In this audio piece, they discuss their collaboration on a pilot 48-hour Listening Festival in February 2025 – which featured over 100 contributions from around the world, described as 'a sonic love letter to Dundee' – and reflect what can grow from a small pot of financial support and the backing of your community.

Given the unique opportunities presented at this point in time for the city of Dundee and its economy, this strategy is crucial to further helping define the ‘Dundee approach’ to supporting its creative sector. This approach is significant, as a city which creates participative ways for its communities to shape and influence how Dundee and its creative sector is defined. Now is the right time to launch this strategy, building on the enthusiasm and energy felt across the city, which was designed to engage the city’s creative communities during the Scottish Gov ernment’s Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design 2016.

Dundee’s Creative Industries Strategy has been initiated by Creative Dundee on behalf of the Dundee Partnership. It has been co-designed with those working/studying in the city's creative industries sector and the local and national agencies who support the creative industries. 

Creative Dundee has driven, co-ordinated and produced this strategy through the valuable support of its funding partners, Creative Scotland and Dundee City Council.
