For our first in the series of our new Podcast we present label head Fernie.

Fernie has made strides this year within the Hypnotic Techno Scene with releases on upfront labels such as DNC Limited and Obscure Sorrows Records and a remix for Petite Astronaute also en route.

In this mix he delivers what has now become his trademark space sound with driving rhythms and emotional haunting pads.

since it gives them leave to move
through the wind, towards the ground

stitching darkness like a name.

Now when dying grasses veil
earth from the sky in one last pale
wave, as autumn dies to bring
winter back, and then the spring,
we who die ourselves can peel
back another kind of veil
that hangs among us like thick smoke.

Tonight at last I feel it shake.

I feel the nights stretching away
thousands long behind the days,
till they reach the darkness where
all of me is ancestor.

I turn my hand and feel a touch
move with me, and when I brush
my young mind across another,
I have met my mother's mother.

Sure as footsteps in my waiting
self, I find her, and she brings
arms having answers for me,
intimate, a waiting bounty.

"Carry me." She leaves this trail
through a shudder of the veil,
and leaves, like amber where she stays,
a gift for her perpetual gaze.

I created this mix inspired by my inner world at the moment. Positive and challenging. A deep and watery New Moon mix, to celebrate the natural cycles of life. A time to harness our emotions. Letting any come through with ease. Diving deep, traveling to our underworld, exploring. Standing still in any momentum. 

We reveal the intense emotions, and once we gain knowledge of them, we bring it into the light. Letting anything that we’ve been holding in, come out to the surface. Celebrating the hard and the beautiful, and all variations in between.

For our second podcast episode we present Prylivy a New York based artist that first came to our attention some months ago.  His evocative and space based sound left a lasting impression on us his sets tell a story with seamless transitions.

Having a long passion for music is shown in this mix for Space Textures with a growing reputation he seen release this year of his first production 'Initiate' on Exo-Eso Records.  He explains his direction is to channel sound to convey organic energy and dormant emotions.

KEIN.KONTRAST, whose real name is Simon, is originally from the Alps near Munich.
In 2015 he followed his beat-soaked heart to the capital of techno, Berlin; where he still lives and enjoys being able to follow his passion.
As a young artist, he prefers to make himself heard in small private circles with the right beat for the right moment.
In his work, he portrays his long lasting admiration for the deep analogous atmospheric and hypnotizing sounds.

Always smooth & introspective, this mix blends effortlessly diverse styles of deep techno. Subtle mixing and beautiful atmospheres are to be expected.

BIO:
Scøpe, a Korean techno producer and DJ, runs a SCOPÁVIK podcast series that introduces mix of skilled techno artists from all over the world. And he is holding a regular party called SCOPÁVIK in club vurt. In 2018, he started running a record label of the same name and is establishing his own world of music. Since his debut EP in 2014, he has been constantly showing his own sizzling and layered sounds from his every released EPs and remixes. Recently, he released new EP, Lure (Incl. Anthony Linell Remix) on SCOPÁVIK.

His dynamic DJ sets almost push the listeners into trance by eliciting their subconscious movements with new grooves which rhythmical structures in each track organically intertwine with each other and incrementally accumulate into, and then all of a sudden lead them to a lyrical tone, thus presenting listeners with the type of joy that only techno music can deliver by creating an intersection between reason and instinct.

For the 32nd episode of our podcast series, we are very happy to great the Berlin-based DJ Sabine Hoffmann.

Playing last summer at our Ambient open air Art Bei Ton x Waxing Phases, she brings us, through her Ambient/Techno set, to meditate between some atmospheric and cosmic vibes.

Sabine was born and raised in Berlin. She grew up listening to a diverse array of hip hop, soul, funk and crossover beats. Sabine discovered her passion for spinning vinyl around the early 2000’s, when she was first exposed to electronic music. She plays a deep blend of techno, electro, Chicago & Detroit house with nuggets of acid, funk and breakbeats rolled in.

But regardless of the style, you will always find Sabine playing vinyl only sets as she prefers the warmth of analog sounds and the classic feel of turntables. She has played at almost all the leading clubs in Berlin such as About Blank, Salon zur wilden Renate, Berghain Kantine, Griessmühle, IPSE, Farbfernseher, Golden Gate, Arena Club and the list goes on. Her international profile has been steadily increasing, she already played in Tbilisi, Paris, Baku, Yerevan, Krakow and Thessaloniki to name a few.

Sabine is the founder of “Frauengedeck”. It´s an event series focusing on an all female line up. She wants to support and present female DJs. She has held many events at different clubs throughout Berlin like Wilde Renate, Griessmühle, Farbfernseher and Beate Uwe. The first international events outside of Germany, were held in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia other country's will soon follow.

Since 2016 Sabine works at the well known OYE record shop in Berlin. She is also hosting a monthly Frauengedeck livestream, which is streamed from the OYE record shop.

She finished her Audio Engineering studies at SAE. Inspired by her gained knowledge, she started putting her focus on music production. The first result, a collaboration with No Mad Ronin is available on the label Zaijenroots.

Tobias Balghuber [Fur:ther Sessions | Germany]

In this mix from Tobias, he takes us through his finest vinyl selection of hypnotic techno soundscapes. The beautiful curation portrays a paced journey through tribal realms and Godly arenas.

It is a cosmic truth that music brings people together. Steve Chuha and Tobias Balghuber are a fine example of that theory. Two individuals crossed path midway on their musical pursuit. Both originally from Munich, Steve started his musical journey back in 2004 playing across Europe and during his lengthy stint in India. His love for Psy lead him to more thought provoking genres of Techno. Tobias started playing at small parties since 2013 and quickly gained acclaim. He became resident of Munich based label ‘Pitchbar Records’ and started his long journey playing at the big venues around the region like Harry Klein, Rote Sonne to new a few.

Steve and Tobias quickly recognised their mutual interest and passion in Techno. Steve created ‘Further Sessions’ as a platform that showcases some of the best talents that experiment with musical sounds. With this platform as foundation, the two vinyl aficionados started running events under the banner. The two are known for their punchy sounds well described as wildly playful and an amalgamation of sub-genres, . Steve and Tobias are living the theme of Further Sessions: "we must go forward, being aware that the past will never return”.

Bio /

Mattia Onori is a Berlin based sound engineer, sound designer, electronic music composer and audio professional in the fields of film post-production, special audio and sound art. He is constantly searching for new ways to express himself through sound. He rejects classical music composition and even went through the study of sound engineering only to break the learned rules. 

Besides the degree in audio production, Mattia has written articles for the online electronic music magazine Soundwall and produced various sound design works for movies which also landed at Berlinale International Film Festival.

In 2020 his name has begun to appear in the end credits of well-known TV series on Netflix as recording engineer for the German dubbing.
From his obsession for analog gear and modular synthesis come his eclectic works as HRNR. Besides mixes of different ambient and techno nuances, he designs drony panoramas where noisy influences are poised between a natural analog sound and a cumbersome one, featuring the unique soundscapes of his experimental electronics.
