I moved to the east coast eight years ago and experienced the most pivotal years of my life. There is something about this rugged, unforgiving place and direct and honest culture that leaves a person feeling exposed. Rabbit Hole focuses on new and often under appreciated music. There are no genre restrictions. Good music is good music. However, I try to include music that is unique and doesn't sound like it's trying too hard to fit in.

We're a three piece band with part-timers who sit in on occasion (formerly Skiprope Cello. Same band, revised name). We're currently working on our 3rd album (1st full length) to be released on Bandcamp to be entitled "Vanity Fair." Watch for pre-releases soon. See Bandcamp link below.  

We're avid readers, so lyrics are often based on books.  Genre is eclectic mix of alternative, lo-fi, techno, lounge, punk-jazz of the 1920s/30s variety. We are from both California and the Midwest (Iowa), United States. Our influences include: Cole Porter, Dostoevsky, Steely Dan, F.S. Fitzgerald, The Clash, Henry James, Potluck Suicide, Gary Numan, James Joyce, Daniel Amos, Fellini, Marc Plainguet, CS Lewis, The Residents, George Bernard Shaw, Al Jolson, Atom Bender, Chopin, Captain Beefheart, TS Eliot, Bob Dylan, Ultravox, Scott Joplin, Anthony Trollope, The Strokes, Kraftwerk, Bill Mallonee, Franz Kafka. Ben Gordon is an award winning music producer / DJ based out of Miami. Ben's previous music alias was Beta Minor from 2010 - 2025. Ben's performances deliver modern dance grooves with old school flavor. Combining live instrumentation and original production, melodic electronica with heavy bass overtones. 

Since 2009, Beta Minor has performed at major festivals including Big Dub Festival, Flower of Life, Rothbury, Electric Forest, Rootwire, Impulse, Firefly (Sweet Tea Fest), Home Town Get Down, GRAD Festival, and Takoma Porch Festival.
