People's negative impressions can drape over you, especially when they come from someone who has been important to you. It can be beneficial to look at these impressions as schoolyard names that once slid off of you, and find a way to laugh them away as nothing more than something that interrupted a game of tag with those that know you best. I moved to the east coast eight years ago and experienced the most pivotal years of my life. There is something about this rugged, unforgiving place and direct and honest culture that leaves a person feeling exposed. I am a singer/guitarist and songwriter from the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
At the age of 10, I was a keen violinist. Mum and Dad-not so keen - offered to buy me any other instrument if I would only STOP playing the violin-I opted for a guitar and they immediately got me one! I started to play and sing. And so began my real love affair with all things music.In fact music runs in the family!
My sister and son also have their music here on soundcloud.
I play and sing in pubs, clubs, restaurants, at home ,for friends - I’ll never stop!

 In the past I have supported some big Australian names, such as, Mick Fleetwood and the Zoo, Paul Kelly, Daryl Braithwaite and Vika and Linda Bull. I have written songs for World Vision , for children’s stories- for tv commercials ( the altapac add), for Christmas choirs and for other musicians-aussie band Bullamakanka recorded ‘wild horses’ one of my originals and country singer Deniese Morrison recorded a song I co-wrote with my sister , ‘The ballad of KP Nutbrown’.
I’ve been writing songs about my life, loves and convictions- I like to tell a story –my songs are all based on life experiences- I try to keep it real! recording for my EP ‘The 11th Hour’ was amazing! Govinda Doyle( he produced ‘Big Jet Plane ‘ for Angus and Julia Stone) is a wonderful producer who brings out the natural sounds of real musicians playing together to create an organic, earthy and truly intimate recording.Thanks to all the beautiful musicians who played and sang:

David Boyd and the Diminishing Returns are an Indie Folk/Country band based in London, England. Their style is based on the traditional acoustic country style in the line of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Woody Nelson, but with a contemporary indie flare comparable to Augustines, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats and White Town.

SADCAT consist of Chris (songwriting, guitars, vocals, synth and percussion) and Tom (bass) whose name is an anagram of their initials rather than an upset feline. 

Sounds have been recorded using Audacity and Ableton at no great expense but we certainly hope that you like what we have conjured up!

Influences include Oasis, New Order, The Clash, Joy Division, Pink Floyd, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and more.

I'm a composer and guitar player. I like (and I try) to translate my personal emotions in all the music I write.
