For their 2nd EP release, Reptilian Business Records are thrilled to uncover Alon.e's new project : Zone Hadale. 

As the title suggests, the french producer will take you deep in the abyss, through mixtures of dub & dubstep, ambient, techno, downtempo, with a millimetered sound design taking the shapes of rare and obscure deep water creatures. Swim with us in these dark foggy streams and underwater pits filled with psychedelic audio artefacts and sonic anglerfish, meet the Blobfish and the Hydrolagus, listen to the Kalevala legend while smoking some Noematic Buds. Leave the scuba, take one long breath, and immerse yourself in the Zone Hadale experience.

This month, we take a dip in the Lake of Sweet Dreams and dance with the animals on the shore as we bring you "Afterglow In The Sky - Chapter One” by King So So.

It is not entirely clear if King So So was born on planet Earth or somewhere in the sky. Some biographies claim that King So So grew up with wolves in the deep forests of Siberia but later in his life studied taxidermy at the University of the Sky.

However, as no biography on his life is regarded as neither accurate nor based on first-hand knowledge, it is not even clear if King So So is actually a man. Some lesbian groups (note: especially in South Africa and Australia), claim that King So So is in actual fact, a woman.

Rumour has it that King So So opened the Disco in the Sky after suffering from a severe bout of depression due to loneliness and intense attacks of melancholy.

Some die-hard fans believe that King So So set himself alight in the Disco in the Sky, after an unfortunate event when a disco ball fell on his favourite flamingo, and instantly killed her. Allegedly the Disco in the Sky remains open, and around the world, fans believe that it is the only path to ultimate enlightenment.

You go 1500 km from Moscow in Siberia direction and you find Orenburg, the city located in the vast steppes, where Serenades come from. Started as a local music community, Serenades became a real hotspot involving dozens of international musicians and djs with podcasts and parties. 

Being true aficionados of music which lays between ethnic and electronic, Serenades have created a real oasis in Russian snow. In 2019, Serenades continue their story with the first ever release – a big & eclectic compilation where every track is exclusively produced for the label concept by musicians from all over the world. 

Shamanic ambient, percussive drums, slow industrial beats from the compilation clearly represent Serenade’s taste in contemporary world music.

"Ethnosound of various geographical spaces (in particular, Afro-Voodoo-Arab) always works as a source of inspiration. Now I am working hard on the project, which consists in “introducing” cymbals (Belarusian folk instruments) into electronic music, and this already looks like a search for a Belarusian ethnic group.
I especially like to extract sounds from everything related to the microphone)
As for this track, this is my first release. Everything is recorded in my home studio (drums, pipes, harp ..). The track was created quickly: in a few weeks,  with inspiration from afro music and this atmosphere
