'Windy City icons K'Alexi Shelby and DJ Pierre both appear on this brand new single on the mighty Afro Acid label.

K'Alexi Shelby is one of Chicago's true heroes and one of the pioneers of the famous musical city's world-renowned house sound. He has penned a long list of classic house and techno tracks and is just as notorious for his DJing ability. He has brought his raw, uncompromising sounds to clubs all over the world and blends house, disco and techno with his own style. He does the same on his label TecSoul and once again here has cooked up a vital new single.

'Chicago' is a lively and explosive track with smart and iconic samples, atmospheric spoken words and lashings of acid. It's a blend of house and disco packed with knowing references that bubble and boil for 10 enthralling minutes. Only someone with the musical understanding of Shelby could pull off a track as adventurous and impactful as this.

Afro Acid label head DJ Pierre is a fellow dance music icon. He is the founding father of the acid sound, and someone whose bristling tracks are some of the most visceral in house. He is now based in Atlanta but hails from Chicago and brings all that heritage to this standout remix. It's a quick and kinetic house groove with the original's melodic refrain intact but a smoother groove. Smart filter use and teasing vocal samples ensure it keeps dancers on their toes throughout.

'Neverdogs return to Bamboleo for the label's twentieth release, celebrating two decades of the duo with ‘Feeling Something’.

Italian duo Neverdogs are two decades strong into their tenure within the global underground dance music scene. Renowned for their extended feel-good and uplifting sets, full of sensual tones, sultry atmospheres and upbeat House & Techno, Bamboleo Records frontmen Tommy Paone & Marco De Gregorio continue to set a precedent for cutting-edge avant-garde dance cuts. 

Their latest offering also marks the twentieth body of work to land on their increasingly popular Bamboleo Records imprint, with the duo returning to their spiritual home to unveil an immersive four-track EP.

Beginning with the title track, ‘Feeling Something’ flies straight out of the gate with bumpy grooves and a catchy bassline whilst Magaziine’s hypnotic vocal topline steers the mix. ‘Hoover’ comes next, keeping the swinging underground flavours at a premium with more jackin’ drums, crisp percussive flair and gritty melodies from end to end. The on-trend sounds of ‘Tamarindo’ features velvety Deep House vibes with a wave of bright harmonies alongside sultry vocal shots and more well-structured & explicitly danceable drum work. ‘Pura Vida’ brings the release to a close with upbeat rhythms from the outset, carving out a perpetual subterranean wobbler with endless layers of individual movement and dreamy notes.

'Rising UK talent SOSA’s COCO imprint unleashes the first edition of its Summer Jamz VA series, featuring the label boss alongside Llinares, Mareels, Sacli & The BeatBoy’s.

Steadily growing in stature on the underground scene, SOSA’s COCO imprint continues to roll out a relentless stream of striking subterranean releases full of gritty flavours and roughened edges. Following offerings from Seb Zito, Prok & Fitch, Classmatic and many more, the label returns with their first ever ‘Summer Jamz’ VA. 

Llinares kicks things off with ‘Living 4 The Night’, flying straight into rolling analogue-focused grooves. Punchy drum work undulates through a bed of roughened percussive elements, pulsating sub-bass notes and glitchy fills, sliding between a twisted vox arrangement and catchy soulful hook to carve out an undeniably potent peak-time cut.

Label head SOSA follows on with the mesmerising sounds of ‘Novella’. Built around an attention-grabbing flute lead and jittering vox chops, it’s an on-point delivery of the toughened underground sound we’ve come to know and love from increasingly-talented Liverpudlian tastemaker. 

The BeatBoy’s come next with ‘Mr. DJ’, delivering more minimal-focused grooves and endless layers of hardware-induced wobble. Rippling drums and resonant frequencies drive the track forwards through a sea of distorted sampling and rhythmic instrumental processing to deliver a uniquely gritty and pleasantly moody dancefloor weapon. 

Mareels & Sacli conclude the VA with ‘Bésame Mucho’, keeping things deep and heavy. Riding a subtly bouncing flow of hardened kicks and quirky tonal percs, its skippy hat grooves and stripped-back splashes of melody continue to intensify through the mix into weird and wonderful breakdowns full of striking Latin vocals and huge atmospheric spaces.'

'Italian born electronic music artist MATTHEW, born and raised in Napoli, made his debut on VIVa MUSiC with his 'Neapolitan EP' almost exactly 12 months ago to the day. Having first previously released on Rich NxT 'What NxT' label bringing attention to his sound, MATTHEW makes a welcome return to VIVa MUSiC with his ‘Excusa Esto EP’ released 30th September. This EP leads from the front we are excited to share with you this incredible three track EP.

The EP opens with ‘Neno Excusa Esto’. If dynamism is what you look for in music, this is the one for you. Packed full of infectious energy from its jackin’ beats to high intense high speed rap vocals and moments of early electroclash production influences coming through. This is an ambitious and perfectly executed 6 minute journey we might never come down from so join us in hitting the repeat button and living it all over again!

Continuing this journey of sound, ‘Forsambaa’ opens with deep kicks and rhythmic funk driven drums that take us all the way through the track. As infectious as opener, ‘Neno Excusa Esto’, ‘Forsambaa’ is driven by dirty beats and hypnotic drum patterns. Chanting vocals that loop throughout making this a track that delivers any time day or night, commanding attention at the day time parties all the way through until the early hours with the lights down and the sun coming up. It leaves us with one question…. There is one more track to go on this EP, where are we going next?!

To close out, ‘Toodley’. Once again, MATTHEW delivers drums that are front and center, paired with a contagious bassline making it impossible to stand still listening to this EP. Chanting vocals are once again looped and draw us in. We’re completely lost in the music hoping this is a journey that never ends and are left wanting more.
