Stress Records returning favourite, BluePrint delivers with impressively enchanting four-track EP, ‘Sleeping on Your Dreams’. 

 ‘Sleeping on Your Dreams’ is blissful, progressive, and euphoric throughout, whilst never being confined to one specific style. Swapping breaks for thumping four by four kicks, ‘Over & Out’ retains that same trace-esque progression yet fires the energy levels to peak time effect.

Aili x Transistorcake spent their lockdown in the studio mixing together their own unique sounds to create one of the most vibrant releases of the summer with their Dansu EP. 'Pari Pari' being one of the highlight tracks off the EP enjoyed widespread acclaim since its release earlier this year with its catchy synths and unique Japanese touch and now the track has been taken to the discotheque for Shubostar's powerful new remix. Shubostar is one of South Korea's most exciting underground electronic artists launching her own label 'uju Records' in 2018 and recently making waves with her 'Maoi' remix for Curses 3 part compilation 'Next Wave Acid Punx'. 
Shubostar's remix opens with rock solid drums and octave bass that fill the air with energy and give structure and groove to this vibrant rework of Aili and Transistorcake’s synth driven banger. Elements of the original are layered on to make the track sparkle and shimmer before the unique catchy Japanese top lines from Aili fly into the mix to take all the elements to new heights. This delicious disco twist adds a powerful backbone to the track and will no doubt have you on the dancefloor never wanting this punchy remix to end.

Premiere: Charles D - Lost Soul [Consequence Of Society]

The third and last single from Fred Everything’s 'Love, Care, Kindness & Hope' is a collaboration with the mighty Stereo MC’s. You might know them from their 1992 smash hit 'Connected,' but they’re also one of the UK’s most influential act in the Hip Hop and Trip Hop world, and still staying active today with their own Connected label, focussing on Afro House sounds.

On remix duty, we have the enigmatic Clive From Accounts. It’s been all hits and no misses from the mysterious man from London, who may or may not be an accountant. His releases on Dirt Crew, Razor’n Tape and Outplay have felt at home in many influential DJs record box, including Fred who’s been a big supporter since day 1. Clive takes the dubby original into Deep House territory with a lovely driving bass line, arpegio lines and a great use of Rob Birch’s voice. It comes with its obligatory Dub as well.

Title track ’Back To The World’ places a keen emphasis on groove, with its low slung bassline, rolling piano and a dramatic joyous theme creating the purest of club moments. Alongside the announcement, tickets for ABSOLUTE.’s headline show at London’s Islington Assembly Hall on Saturday 19th June are on sale now.

Wonderland is a whirlwind ride through dance music as heard through ABSOLUTE.’s ears: emotive house, hard-edged techno, divine disco, and euphoric rave bring the party, while more cerebral downtempo and textural ambient tracks wind things down. It’s party music for a time without parties, all shot through with McGinley’s message of hope and equality for all.  
 
Speaking on the Mixtape, ABSOLUTE. explains: “Writing this album brought me back to life, I was writing music that helped me feel certain ways, freedom and connectedness to something I and many others were missing, longing hard to be around people, or needing a dose of raw euphoric rave energy which gave some release at the sheer desperation to dance and feel joy. Even if just for a short time, to feel transported to 90’s UK raves or New York’s underground gave me some life, and I hope it does for you too. Welcome to Wonderland…” 
 
The mixtape album came to fruition as a result of the recent lockdown where ABSOLUTE., and the rest of the world, was forced to a standstill. Anthony was determined to turn his frustration into art and participated in a creative workshop that helped open his mind to new ideas, taking his music in exciting directions. The title of the mixtape takes its name from Wonderland Arena, a now obsolete rave space in East London that played host to live performances from the likes of Frankie Knuckles, The Prodigy, and Carl Cox during the halcyon days of acid house and early rave, and that is now converted into apartments where Anthony currently lives and works. 
 
ABSOLUTE. Is a project that has steadily gained momentum over the last couple of years, deftly choosing the right path for long term success rather than quick gains. Coming from the vibrant LGBTQ+ club and rave space where he promoted influential events in London, Anthony wanted to make sure foundations were solid before making the break into the live arena with this incredible body of work. He’s DJed at a wide array of parties and festivals from Glastonbury and Creamfields to Fabric and Razzmatazz but performing live has always been the goal. As lockdown came into effect he was packing his equipment to go on the road supporting dance legends 808 State on a 10 date UK tour.  
 
Despite a total shutdown of the live sector during the pandemic, Anthony still managed to perform his debut live set for Radio 1’s virtual Ibiza weekend during the summer and has just announced a headline live show at Islington’s assembly for March next year in partnership with underground gatekeepers Percolate. 
 
Alongside his musical accomplishments, Anthony is a passionate activist for human rights and has a longstanding track record of work supporting issues including climate, race, and LGBTQ+ justice. After attending the first Extinction Rebellion action in London, McGinley wrote “Rave Against the Machine”, a track that sampled a speech by Greta Thunberg which resulted in XR later inviting him to programme the music line-up of their International Rebellion at Trafalgar Square, while at Glastonbury, he played at Greenpeace’s Rave Tree.

The title track from prolific producer James Curd’s debut album ‘Taking All This Time’ is a marker of the quality of the 14-track collection, and one of the new tracks set amongst some of his finest moments to date.
A looping jazz-funk b-line and key sample cut pumps round and round as splashy hi-hats and tense synth whirrs build the mood, before the sweet male vocal refrain is unleashed over a pleasingly mellow melodic progression. The vocal by Shyam P reveals itself more, laying on a honeyed R&B / soul feel to the proceedings before we’re dropped back into that relentless disco groove. Snatches of biting electric pianos intersperse the rhythm, and drawn out sax samples provides a moment of juxtaposition in the break. The overall feel is that of a melancholy summer jam that bridges the gap between multiple genres, concisely reflecting Curd’s tastes in the process.
Alan Dixon (Running Back) ditches the soulful feel for an acid/electro/Italo fusion on his bold remix, setting bubbling acid lines against early '90s piano chords that joyously take centre stage midway through the track.
