Barnt and Stephan Bodzin, two artists whose stand-out performances at recent Afterlife events have made them firm favourites with the crowds, are tapped for the remixes of Tale Of Us & Vaal's latest single 'Monument' (AL006). They both take on the title track, Barnt opting for a rolling, percussive direction and Bodzin more ethereal and transportive. For the digital-only third contribution, Adriatique (the Swiss duo of Adrian Schweizer and Adrian Shala) give the drums some extra punch and cloak the vocal in spacey reverb.

Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzkis main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted. Friedrichshain, one of Berlins vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Olivers heart. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Kreuzbergs wall paintings adorn Stil Vor Talent s cover sleeves and host their headquarters. There are little to no corners in the city that havent brought a spark of inspiration into the mix. The Schneeweiss compilation series, now at its eighth installment, is built as a form of tribute to all these particles, tied in together into a series of carefully curated tracks. Each compilation stands at the intersection of the musical and cultural surroundings most prominent of their respective times, acting both as a reminder as well as a timeless sound capsule for the years to come.

About the release
Passionate musician Moritz Rausch aka Rauschhaus is back on Parquet. If truth be told, we’ve been pestering James’ Made By Pete’ Edwards to create his own EP for Selador ever since he first appeared on the label last summer on remix duties for Dee Montero’s ‘Fade Into Noir’, so naturally we’re pleased as punch to be charged with the guardianship of this fantastic release. 

The burgeoning producer has been taking giant strides over the past few years with releases for such esteemed labels as Crosstown Rebels, Yoshitoshi, Radiant and Gruuv and with his newly built studio now fully operational, 2020 is shaping up to be his most prolific yet.  

Here he delivers 3 tracks of equally high calibre, each providing a different twist on the Made By Pete sound. For the title track, the vocal talents of Simon Jinadu are enlisted, who turns in a spellbinding performance that succeeds in full-blown listener entrapment, such is its seductive charm. Sheer,  timeless class all round. 

Next, ‘Sierra’ brings a more present-day feel to proceedings with a glitchy melody and tight tribal rhythms flaunting its finger-on-the-pulse credentials. And finally, the Afro flavours come further to the fore in ‘Rhythm Fabric’, a carefully woven percussive tapestry that delivers in spades.

Brazilian Mila Journée arrives at the Malaga label with her 'Luster' EP, which includes two remixes of two artists that we have seen previously in the Avar Garden brand: Oclum and ODDCS, who have become their new residents.
This new EP takes a turn compared to the latest releases of Project 13. The melodic leading role is still present, but this time the dark and atmospheric touch has more weight in this reference thanks to the two originals: 'Luster' and 'I love it '. 
These two themes are remixed by Oclum and ODDCS, respectively, maintaining their characteristics and focusing them, even more, on the club scene.
He has already obtained the support of artists such as AFFKT, Maceo Plex, Pedro Mercado, Abstraal, Wurtz O Th3 Oth3r.

After Innellea played most of the tracks of the compilation in live sets and podcasts, people
have asked for them a lot. “We live in a world dominated by fast pace. The ability to access
anything, anywhere, at any time leads to an enormously short survival time - even for
releases in the music industry.” That's why Innellea has chosen to not release the songs
immediately to create something that can keep its shine for a longer time as a complete
piece of art. To finish the past and initiate the future, Innellea decided now to release some
of this tracks. As icing on the cake he made very limited edition of a fair trade, organic cotton
long sleeve shirt in the course of the release. The shirt comes together with the eleven track
compilation.

A segunda faixa da EP - “Away from home” apresenta um toque progressivo, com bassline marcante e uma bela melodia feita a quatro mãos, que se somam ao vocal com a frase “Longe de Casa”. 
O título desta faixa busca nos trazer um reflexão ao “caminho interior”, passando a mensagem de que nosso corpo é o nosso maior templo. 
Seguindo na atmosfera estrelar e como se numa homenagem ao Sol, a track “Solar” complementa o EP.  Como característica marcante da faixa, no seu break há um arp. timbrado do Moog Sub37 que surge de forma crescente e se encontra a uma melodia minimalista que é carregada até o drop da música, criando um groove peculiar e dançante.

Premiere: Joluca - M1 But You [Whoyostro White]

'The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Kostakis to the label for his debut EP. The South African artist first appeared in 2014 on Get Physical with the Beatport chart success 'iKalimba'. With the backing of Adriatique, Pete Tong and Solomun, Kostakis has since showcased his music via Chapter 24 Records and KATERMUKKE. Now landing on Movement Recordings, the Cape Town resident presents his 'Ithaca' EP, alongside remixes from Matchy, Paul Anthonee and Chris Sen. 

Beginning with the title selection Kostakis explores a contemporary astral narrative. Tough beats and a chugging groove sit at the foundation while haunting pads and spacey arps descend over the framework. Fluid and cosmic in equal measure, rugged rhythms push momentum into a tense yet emotive break, before tasteful modulation peaks and striking stabs cue a powerful finale. The companion piece 'Ithaca' follows a similar sonic ethos and sits as a perfect complement to its predecessor. It's rolling groove is not only powerful but perfectly contoured, adorned with fiery percussion and ethereal effects. Astral fragments and pensive arps drift across the framework while dramatic overlays continue to build tension into the break. Cavernous yet striking, the centerpiece melts down to an effervescent sizzle, as a gentle rush sparks a driving final movement. 

The first interpretation of 'Ithaca' is provided by Paul Anthonee who returns to the label for his seventh appearance. The Cyprus based artist last appeared on the Greek imprint in October of 2019 with a contribution to the label's ADE Sampler. Also laying claim to releases on Beatfreak Recordings, Parquet Recordings, Steyoyoke and Suara, Paul now returns to Movement Recordings with a stunning rendition of 'Ithaca'. Setting the piece in motion, a foundation of driving beats and percussive waves converge for a wall of momentous energy. Electric rhythms complement the rolling foundation, while effervescent arps steal the air at timely moments. The main break furthers the storyboard through tastefully twisted modulation before striking chord stabs usher in an exhilarating drop and thrilling final movement. '
