"Removed from Tomorrow" was influenced by female artists who inspirationally touched my life. Along with hiking daily through mother earth's beautiful forest/garden of life. There were many experiences of double rainbows, butterflies, beautiful colorful various birds, wildflowers. Magical psychedelic experiences along the way. Hope everyone enjoys my latest musical journey.

Ce titre, composé originalement en 1994 et réarrangé en 2024 pour MCDC fait parti de la trilogie  ‘des amours tumultueux’ du micro-album PHONOGRAPHE de MCDC .  Il parle des états d'âme d’une personne amoureuse qui vient d'être trompée et qui est triste et en colère. Le rythme soutenu  de la pièce  démontre une force de caractère de la personne face à cette trahison. 

This title, originally composed in 1994 and rearranged in 2024 for MCDC is part of the trilogy 'of tumultuous loves' from the micro-album PHONOGRAPHE by MCDC.  He talks about the states of mind of a lover who has just been deceived and who is sad and angry. The sustained rhythm of the play demonstrates the strength of character of this lover in the face of this betrayal.

Closing out the Jaded album, The Gods Don’t Hear Me Anymore is a stark, emotional reckoning—part confession, part lament, part protest. Over a raw acoustic guitar in open tuning (DADEAD), The Guitars Say Sorry delivers a song that feels like it was written under a flickering streetlight in the early hours, alone but overheard.

The lyrics drift between the personal and political: forgotten memories, absent gods, the weight of family history, and the ache of disappointment in the world around us. “Tears come easy when you're young / And you don't know where you've come from” sets the tone—disillusionment framed by a search for meaning, identity, and connection. There’s resignation in the refrain, “The gods don't hear me anymore,” but also an undercurrent of defiance: “I carefully chose my enemies.”

Daniel Lars: Multi-Instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter, producer. Born, initially grew up in the heart of San Francisco. Music deeply rooted...young age of four. Psychedelic music scene was electrifying. Nevertheless, Daniel Lars was deeply influenced from extensive variety of music. Rock, Hard Rock, Psychedelic, Glam Rock, R&B, Funk, Soul, Motown, late '60s pop music, Progressive Rock, Gothic, Eastern music, Blues, Disco, Bossa nova, Folk, Jazz Fusion, Jazz, Classical, World Music, Techno, Psychedelic Trance, Hip-hop. 

Daniel Lars: "My father would play stacks of vinyl from extensive record collection. Especially, during weekends. Late, through the night. Recall in record collection...early Beatles, Big Band, classical, jazz, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, MC5, Dusty Springfield, Motown. Various country artists in record collection. While my oldest brothers were playing '60s rock, Southern Rock, English psychedelic bands, from vinyl collection. During late '60s psychedelic era, early '70s." 

Young age of twenty, Daniel decided to seriously pursue music career. First band, younger brother on bass. Jammed with various musicians, friends, bands. San Francisco Bay Area, during the eighties. Formed power trio, "Third Eye." Performed various popular clubs in San Francisco. Relocated in the East Bay Area. Small town in Pleasanton. Shortly, after Third Eye disbanded. Joined popular local East Bay Area hard rock band, Most Wanted. Final gig, major benefit concert. Billed with several other popular Bay Area local bands. Such as Black Tiger (former members of Y&T). To support "October 17th, 1989 Loma Prieta" earthquake victims. During late '90s, hired as a professional session guitarist for two years. Major recording studio in Oakland, CA. Where he learned extensive skills in studio production. Left California in 2008. Always creating gems in musical moments of time. His two lovely rescue cats Syd & Ziggy, daily magical hikes in the forest...are current "musical" inspirations. Cheers.
