Hello Im Pav Modern, founder of Modular Recordings home of The Avalanches, Cut Copy, The Canyons, The Presets, Wolfmother and Tame Impala amongst many others many others.

Before my life as a record company I was a concert promoter and had the good fortune of promoting artist such as Nirvana, Beastie Boys, Fugazi, Pavement, Sonic Youth Pearl Jam, My Bloody Valentine, Hole, Bikini Kill, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs , LCD Soundsystem, Daft Punk and hundreds of others across Australia and New Zealand.

I created The Summersault festival in Australia and an island festival in Croatia called For Festival and curated/creative directed events in Australia like Vivid Live 2011 and most recently the UNPOPULAR  exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum.

Roxana Pope AKA Roxy P, is an accomplished singer-songwriter, musician, and producer.

Her powerful production style has many influences, ranging from her jazz pianist grandfather and classical pianist parents to training as a sound engineer and her current role as a studio assistant for Coldplay. A true individual, Roxy P writes and sings every word, produces every note, and mixes every part.

Now London-based but originally from Birmingham, born to a Polish mother and half-Grenadian father, Roxy P was learning the piano at age 3 and the violin at age 7. A career in music is the only path that Roxy P has ever known. 

Roxy P went on to study sound engineering on the prestigious Tonmeister course at the University of Surrey. Whilst studying on the course she was awarded String and Academic Scholarships and won the Peter Croser Chamber Music Award two years running (as first violinist in a string quartet and piano quintet). Roxy P also excelled as a sound engineer and went on to win the ‘Most Natural Sounding Classical Recording Award’ for her location recording of Schumann’s 5th Symphony as part of her final year portfolio. 

During her time on the Tonmeister course, Roxy P completed a year’s work experience at the world renowned Abbey Road Studios learning from the finest engineers, musicians, and technicians in the industry, helping her to hone her skills and drastically advance her expertise.

Following her studies on the Tonmeister course, Roxy P carved a career as a violinist. Her credits include performances with Bonobo, Gabrielle, and Labrinth, solo tours around the world, and TV appearances on Blue Peter, This Morning, and Strictly Come Dancing, to name but a few. 

Most recently Roxy P’s vocals featured on NAPT’s track ‘The Return’ which was released on Skrillex’s OWSLA label and her violin performance can be heard on POPE’s ‘Forever’ released on Universal Music. While her personal musical projects are gaining increased attention, Roxy P works full-time as a Studio Assistant for Coldplay

Having dedicated her life to musical and technical training, Roxy P is armed with a range of finely tuned expertise. Coupled with her hard-working and single-minded nature, it is a recipe for huge success.
