Levy Oliveira (1993), born in Congonhas (Brazil), dedicates himself to musical composition since 2010. His music is being played frequently in Brazilian and international festivals and it has also been awarded in competitions in Brazil and abroad. In his creative work, Levy Oliveira aims to understand how the listeners reacts to music and how their expectations are built to posteriorly confirm or deny it. Therefore, the study of psychological terms such as habituation and processing fluency has been a rich source of information to be explored in his music. Electronics is often applied as a way of breaking expectations, increasing the spatial and timbral possibilities available to surprise the listeners. Nonetheless, he has composed for different instrumentations that goes from acousmatic pieces to solo instrument, chamber and orchestral music.

Compositor, Artista Sonoro, investigador y docente. Se dedica principalmente a la música electroacústica, los medios mixtos y la música interactiva en tiempo real. Es miembro fundador de la RedASLA (Red de Arte Sonoro Latinoamericano). Ha recibido premios y distinciones: Premio a la Trayectoria en Música (Artistas Premiados Argentinos "Alfonsina Storni" 2019; Premio Concurso Ibermúsicas 2016, Premio de Composición de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires 1996/97; Tribuna Nacional de Música Electroacústica-UNESCO 1994; Tribuna Nacional de Compositores-UNESCO 1987. Premio Ars Contemporanea 1978. Ha recibido encargos y presentado sus composiciones y ponencias en Congresos, Festivales y Ciclos de Conciertos alrededor del mundo. Ha desarrollado la actividad docente y de investigación en la Universidad Nacional de Lanús (UNLa), la  Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero (UNTreF), Universidad de Belgrano (UB) y los Conservatorios "Julián Aguirre" y "Juan José Castro" de la Provincia de Buenos Aires. Fue creador y co-director del Festival Internacional Acusmático y Multimedial "Sonoimágenes" de la UNLa (2000-2014) y Director del Centro de Estudios en Producción Sonora y Multimedial CEPSA de la UNLa (2013-2024). Sus escritos han sido publicados por Cambridge Univerity Press (revista Organised Sound), el EMS (ElectroacousticMusicStudies.org), la Universidad Nacional de Lanús, Universidad de Uberlandia (Brasil), Editorial Ariel, Madrid. Su música es grabada y distribuida por la UNLa, el Fondo Nacional de las Artes de Argentina, y los sellos IRCO de Buenos Aires, Pogus de Nueva York y Elektrons de Estocolmo.

Composer, Sonic Artist, researcher. Works mainly in electroacoustic, mixed media and real time interactive music. He is a founder member of the RedASLA (Network for Latinamerican Sonic Arts). He received prizes and awards such as: Lifetime Achievement Award in Music 2019 from Award-Winning Artists Assoc. "Alfonsina Storni"; Prize Ibermusicas 2016 Contest, Buenos Aires City Music Prize (1996/97) conceded by the Buenos Aires City Government; National Composers’ Electroacoustic Rostrum-UNESCO 1994, National Composers’ Rostrum-UNESCO 1987;. Prize Ars Contemporanea 1978. He received commissions and presented his compositions as well as his research papers at different Conferences, Festivals and Concert Series around the world. He also has been Professor and Researcher at the National Universities of Lanús (UNLa), Tres de Febrero (UNTreF) and Belgrano (UB). He founded and was co-director of the International Festival Sonoimágenes at the UNLa (2000-2014) and Director of the Research and Studies Center for Sonic arts and Audiovisual (CEPSA) at the UNLa (2013-2024). 
His papers have been published by Cambridge University Press (Organised Sound magazine), ElectroacousticMusicStudies.org (EMS), and the UNLa. His music is recorded and distributed by the National University of Lanús, the National Endowment for the Arts of Argentina, and the labels IRCO Records (Buenos Aires) Pogus Records (New York) and Elektrons Records, (Stockholm)
