I wrote this song when my grandmother died several years ago. I wrote it because I'd been gone so long from my family I was afraid she wouldn't even remember me. I was told she didn't remember people at times. 
Before she died I got to talk to her on the phone and she recognized my voice! She wanted to see me again. She died before I could ever get the chance. Due to our finances and our commitment to work we couldn't even take time off for her funeral. 

I've lost so many people like that recently. Friends too. I don't know how to not give my heart so even losing a friend feels like a breakup. 

I dedicate this song to the people I've known throughout my life. If you know my name. This song is dedicated to you. For whatever moment we shared... thank you.
