It’s been a while since I’ve put up a live DJ set. It’s also been a while since I’ve played a mostly electro set. Thought I’d take this opportunity at The Great Beyond this year to record a sunrise set driven by some of my favorite melodic electro tunes ever. Many which I’ve been playing for 20+ years.

Went into this closing set a bit more open sonically. Wanted to hit the "anything goes" button being it's a Sunday afternoon on Easter weekend and people have people been partying 40+ hours. It's not often you get a crowd that's up to dance to everything ... from Dexter to No Doubt to Calle 13 to 2008 stage diving electro lol. Thank you New York, that was awesome! Enjoy =)

BURNING (this is fine)

I haven't posted a live DJ set for a long time - so here's one from this summer's Rural Festival held in the mountains not far from Nagano in Japan. It was my 2nd year at the festival, and I had an amazing time playing from 2.30-5am, with my set starting in pitch black and ending with the sun emerging for the last moments of the set. Big shouts to all the crowd and of course the organisers for having me back!

I recorded this mix in 2018 for the Her Damit festival and titled it the Mystery of the Motherbeat. I was hungry to tour Europe for the first time and agreed to do a mix and play the festival on a shoestring budget. Her Damit went into bankruptcy later that year, failing to pay artists and others for their work.  They also let their Soundcloud account expire, losing all the mixes they commissioned for the series. 

I am re-releasing this mix under its original name. Its real name. It is one of my deepest mixes. It is filled with the love and hope for the future that I put into it. It was recorded a week before I went to visit Maya and Brooke for the first time in March of 2018, exactly two years ago. That visit would change my life.
