It’s been a while since I’ve put up a live DJ set. It’s also been a while since I’ve played a mostly electro set. Thought I’d take this opportunity at The Great Beyond this year to record a sunrise set driven by some of my favorite melodic electro tunes ever. Many which I’ve been playing for 20+ years.

Went into this closing set a bit more open sonically. Wanted to hit the "anything goes" button being it's a Sunday afternoon on Easter weekend and people have people been partying 40+ hours. "This mix is a recording of a peak-time set I played around this time last year, in the Tangent Gallery Ballroom in Detroit at Samhain XXIII, a collaboration between Interdimensional Transmissions and T4TLUVNRG. My set time was between a long, very masterful warmup by Sold, and the ecstatic closing magic of Eris Drew b2b Octo Octa, the atmosphere was pretty Halloween-adjacent (lots of people wearing costumes, including me as Harley Quinn lol) and open, and for whatever reason it was one of those nights where the stars aligned in such a way that I was able to reach down somewhere inside and pull out a really wide-ranging, high-energy, cathartic performance which I kind of surprised myself with. It was towards the end of what had been a super hard year for me personally, but this was the best and most fun I'd had playing in a long, long time and there's truly something for everyone in there--acid, deep house, breaks, hardcore, diva vocals, swirly bell techno, ballads, jungle, and a handful of obligatory Beige pop moments that had a whole room full of Very Serious Real Music Appreciators and Good Taste-Havers absolutely *screaming*. Hope y'all enjoy it as much as I did!"

Objekt: "Here’s the recording of my set from Dekmantel Selectors festival in Tisno, Croatia, summer 2017.

This was definitely a lucky case of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat and there are endless caveats with this recording – I had a terrible cold; I’d lost my earplugs about an hour earlier and this was the first set I’d played without them in about 6 years; the needles kept jumping (long story but kinda my fault) – but somehow the environment, the energy of the crowd and liberal quantities of vodka sent me flying through 2.5 hours of techno, house, electro, IDM, ghettotech, jungle, DnB and all the way back again. You’ll have to excuse the skipping records but otherwise I hope you enjoy the recording as much as I enjoyed playing."
