From a very young age, Melody was always singing and was raised on classical music by her father who was a pianist, composer and highly sought-after teacher in Calgary, Alberta. As Melody came into her own musically, she desired to create music that she could sing to and wanted to emulate contemporary artists, like Kate Bush, so she switched her lessons for classical piano to contemporary guitar and voice and immediately started writing songs. Exploring musical styles, Melody then started to move into the world of folk music and discovered an inherent interest in Celtic music. Melody took an interest particularly in the poetry of Robert Burns and started writing melodies to accompany his words. Melody’s journey into Celtic culture, led Melody to write her own songs that have an authentic sound of centuries old and traditional. After moving to the West Coast, Melody co-founded locally grown Celtic bands (Kitangus, Syren and Shenanigan) lending her traditional arrangements and original songs to the bands sounds. Her bands preformed for over fifteen years all over Victoria, the west coast of Canada and the U.S.with regular performances at the world famous Butchart Gardens and the, Victoria favorite, Irish Times Pub. After creating and producing six professional Cd's, Melody is now working part-time on her solo career as singer/songwriter recording her second solo CD of original songs. Melody teaches voice, guitar, songwriting and performance, to many young aspiring students. Her original songs are influenced by her love of poetic rhyme, imagery, musical rhythms and refined arrangements. Melody`s voice is characteristically pure, lilting, and emotive-nurtured by Celtic music, life experiences and the pleasure of singing.

A funky, catchy, and sustainability themed album with a climate outreach agenda. The subject matter is resonant, and so is the music.

The album takes the listener on a journey. Starting from the Peoples Climate March in NYC, the listener embarks to Paris in December of 2015 to witness world leaders make decisions on global carbon emissions, and the general fate of humanity. From there, the story travels decades into the future outlining possible scenarios our generation will encounter.  

The subject matter is real, raw, and resonant; and so is the music. Upbeat, the music allows the listener to feel the intensity of the situation.

Vince Vaccaro (born 1980) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, guitarist and record producer.  He has performed largely as a solo artist, appearing both solo acoustic, and backed up by a five to eight piece band.  

His musical influences include Bruce Springsteen, Ben Harper, Eddie Vedder, and Adam Granduciel of the War on Drugs. 

Vaccaro has played shows in Canada, Australia, and the US, sharing stages with bands such as Mumford & Sons, Temper Trap, Awol Nation,  Matt Mays, Jay Malinowski & the Deadcoast,  Sam Roberts, City & Colour and Bedouin Soundclash, amongst many others. 

He was born in Montreal, Quebec, and grew up in Victoria, British Columbia.

The Royal Canadians are a indie/folk/rock band made by some teenagers in the Cowichan Valley of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
What once started as duo has now grown into a intricate quartet consisting of electric and acoustic guitars, banjos, keyboards, bass, drums and more... 
Their debut album "Lonely Whale" is available now!

The Royal Canadians formed in early 2011 out of the Cowichan Valley. The band started as a duo consisting of singer/songwriter, Connor Head, and drummer/songwriter, Taylor Allum. With the vision of a full band in mind, the duo searched for other members to join the team. They decided to release their first demo's just as a duo. It wasn't long until they were offered a recording contract from Grammy nominated producer/drummer Ron Thaler.
In August, 2011 the boys started to record their very first full length album at Electric City Studios. After many long studio days and missed school days the album was nearly done, and the hunt for other musicians kicked into high gear.
Ray Visscher was introduced to the band through guitar class at highschool. After a few jams and the purchase of a banjo, he joined the band as the lead guitarist and banjo player. A few months and a couple of gigs went by until the band stumbled upon bass player, Ryan Scott. Now as a complete quartet, the band will be trying harder than ever to get their unique sound to the ears of everyone possible!
