Julie Vazele, a US-born, Amsterdam-raised DJ has always been obsessed with music, but only recently discovered her passion for DJ-ing. After pursuing her dream of becoming a professional DJ she quickly developed an interesting line of bookings. Julie has played alongside BEHROUZ, Jan Blomqvist and Powel at the Do Not Sit On The Furniture showcase at Amsterdam Dance Event and is now a resident DJ at The Gardens of Babylon. The stars are looking bright for the stunning DJ. With amazing bookings ahead and hours of studio time booked, we are sure to hear a lot about this DJ in 2017.

Bespoke Musik Radio 058 : Julie Vazele

I wanted to try and do more than just mix up a DJ set, so have created some more of my own edits with drum loops and organic sounds of the middle east blended with modern electronica into this story. 
I like to take faster tracks and slow them down and tweak the keys to bring out the vocals and instruments more for a more laidback haunting sound.
One thing I love about this genre and what I have learnt from the more established producers is the freedom to do what you want and go in what ever direction the mood takes.
I do hope I've managed to record at least some of what I feel !

Former Pro DJ and lifetime music lover.  Used the SL1200's for years until finally moving into the 21st century with Traktor.
Always been a fan of live instruments and melodic rhythms, both electronic and natural.
I play all kinds of house music, whether it be progressive, funky, latin, tech etc etc., but for the last couple of years I've been focussing on slowing things down (I think it comes with age!) and enjoying the music for what it is.  Now I just play for fun, so no pressure and I just listen and appreciate.
Now getting into a little producing some nice edits and hope to bring out something totally original soon :)
