The “Anti-Normal” EP is inspired by moments that happen at parties and clubs. The moment when the vibe is so intense that your skin tingles (Anti-Normal). The moment when everything feels a bit...weird (No Sitting). The moment when your friend gets lost in the party and starts acting a little ridiculous (It’s Fucking Bumping in Here, Dude). The moment when you lose your ego in a pitch-black warehouse (Aphotic). And finally, the moment when you fall in love… and the moment when it all goes wrong (Dancing With A Demon).

Darkly lush at times, and mischievously playful at others, the EP pays homage to classic Detroit techno while remaining fresh, modern and unique. Through careful synthesis, Asher has crafted an otherworldly soundscape, ensuring that the individual personalities of each layer are distinctively showcased. The breakdowns are meditative, playfully embracing the absence of sound. The sparsity often gives the illusion of an alteration in rhythm, causing the listener to feel as though they are free falling. When the intensity returns, a sonic adrenaline rush fills the dance floor with a feeling of absolute euphoria.

In Asher’s words, “Anti-Normal, more than a synonym for abnormal, describes an active aversion to normalcy. In my experience, the best people are those who confidently enjoy their own quirks… Those who aren’t afraid to be looked at as a little different. Especially within the world of dance music, I think it’s important to push the envelope as far as possible, both musically and otherwise.”

One of the key emerging artists out of South America in recent years, Nicola Cruz is fresh off his debut album on ZZK and primed to take off with his folklorically dope live set. ‘Pagano’ might be his most dance-floor friendly track to date, sounding like it came straight out of Compass Point studios carrying the smell of good ganja.

Next up is Disco Halal’s MOSCOMAN, kicking it in a latino style for a change, flexing his skills into different lingual terrain, masterfully mixing things up in his inimitably unconventional style.

Aussie favela-funklord Xanga is back with MC Sheikh Djibouti, with a blunted piece of snake charmed spacey hip hop. Dope.

Andrea Vallisneri and Andrea Casari under their VII Circle moniker turns Morphius into an even darker and more hypnotic atmosphere giving back a deeper perspective of the main hook. Finally Musumeci pushes things towards more progressive and melodic territories adding a hell of an arpeggio he found behind the texture of original version.

Arutani's debut Luces Del Recuerdo EP set the mood for both due to the fact that rides into a funny minimal desert, in other hand it also be a solitude's land where introspection takes care of everything. 
Each song beatifully transcends with impressive exhibition of organic taste and also represents a long temporal sequences of thrilling movements. Together these three tracks encapsulates a complete absence of disturbances or restlessness of the mind, it might brings up memories's flashlights like looking through a fogged mirror. Besides the EP questions the thinking about how we take advantage of our memories, how intense they can be on the point of provide a noble and charming extension of an idealized reality.

Just This’ first Various Artists aims to the research of a mix of sounds by producers from different countries, to a journey into a variegated world. Melancholic vibes, deep ambient atmospheres. 
The EP is composed by three tracks. The first one, Perù, is a fine production born from the collaboration between Tom Trago and Pisetzky, a blowing wind from overseas, a shiny path into a flashing jungle, a merge of their different styles that combine in a magic theme. 
Mondo8 by Eduardo De La Calle is a constant beat that hits straight to the point with an hypnotic melody and raw vibe. 
To wrap things up Kelpe expressed his own unique unclassified genre with Dry Riser, it grabs you into an unspringy flow bringing the listener to a vintage ambient atmospheres.

We are proud to present you our 60th release. For this release we have Erly Tepshi making his debut on our label with a stunning 4 track solo EP. We can easily say this is one of our favorite releases we did so far.
We are nothing but impressed about the quality of these 4 tracks. 

Erly Tepshi was born in 1988, in Tirana. He moves to Italy at the age of 2. Since he was a young child he started discovering music through Rock and Metal. 
At the age of 16 year he got introduced to the world of electronic music by going to parties and clubs. After that experience he wanted to begin a career as a dj. Just 2 years later after a friend introduced him in the world of making your own music. That's when Erly decided to put for the first time his hands on analogue machines and software instruments. 
His background brings him to melodic atmospheres and synths with always a dark fog around and a melancholic space. His productions spaces from the dark Techno to the brightness of melodic electronic music.

Erly Tepshi - Flow Of Life

Dubfire and Oliver Huntemann reunite for the second part of their Elements series next month with ‘Humano’, which will be released through Senso Sounds on Friday 2nd September.

The single prefaces the pair’s ‘Retrospectivo’ album, which is due later this year, and is a tough, tight and driving slice of techno that will ignite dancefloors.

When Stoned idea #4532 was put into play this is what happened : We  round up some fellow herb-merchants to have a go at rolling Von Party & Naduve's 'Cobra Kush' up and hosting their own studio smoke-out. 

1st up is Rodion : BONAFIED big-snake smoke machine. This i can attest to - his mixing desk is one big mixing bowl. You don’t actually have to look for the weed because its everywhere there. Its inside the machines, it’s all over the mouse, and the smoke alarm has dead batteries from being overworked.

After the success of Aboutface's debut EP on Amirali's Dark Matters Imprint in October of 2015, Aboutface performed his project 'Vaga' the River Wye as a metaphorical representation of the journey of humanity, live at Freerotation (2016), the performance was also broadcast on NTS Radio on 16/7/16. Following this mesmerising and exploratory project, the young London based composer and DJ returns with a new release. 'In The Tepid Shine We Breathe' is due out on the 19th of September.

The three track EP opens with 'In The Tepid Shine We Breathe feat. Darker', Aboutface's subtle skill imbues his work with a stillness and precision even when blending analogue forms of media 'such as 1/4" tape, Cassettes and VHS as a part of the sonic palette,' he is able to create additional depth in his music. Darker aka Jenna Whelan's Vocals gently break the tumbling elements with an airy beauty.

‘There Must Be Chaos Within You To Give Birth To A Dancing Star', the second track on the EP showcases Aboutface's use of field recordings, light rain spatters the ground as a warbling synth line gradually becomes bolder. Eventually this is joined by a simple drum pattern, somehow managing to maintain the eery melancholia Aboutface is so adept at creating.

Redshape steps up for a remix of the title track. He highlights the vocal sample before rearranging the drums into a punchier and more streamlined rhythm. The track morphs into a dance floor heater, perfectly complimenting the slower pace of the originals with a faster and straightforward approach.

Aboutface - There Must Be Chaos Within You To Give Birth To A Dancing Star

Straight out of Romania, Mihai Popoviciu has established him self as a producer and DJ of high repute in the past few years. His releases on labels such as Highgrade, Fear of Flying and Hudd Traxx have raised the bar pretty high when it comes to his own distinctive take of the tech-house sound du jour, but it’s this latest outing on Poker Flat Recordings where sparks really start to fly. 

The four tracks on the Here EP share a similar aesthetic and sound design, yet each is as essential as the other. 

'Call Me' rides a dark and low slung groove, eventually unleashing a soulful, neo-prince vocal refrain amid the spacey, atmospheric synths.   

Title track 'Here' follows a similar dynamic, but with a more straight up focus – a fat, rolling house bomb for the floor.  

'Low' takes things a notch deeper, and a shade darker, showcasing Mihai’s passion for Detroit and the techier end of the spectrum. 

'Curbat' rounds off the release, maintaining a course for the funky sound Mihai is fast becoming a leading proponent of.
