Adrian DiMatteo (B.M. Jazz Guitar Performance, Eastman School of Music) is an international performing and recording artist, music educator and sound healer with over 18 years’ experience in the music world. He performs original and popular songs, children’s music and carries sacred chants and mantras from ancient native, tribal, and indigenous cultures. He is also the creator of “Chord Atlas”, an iOS app for aspiring guitarists of all levels.

Adrian teaches guitar, voice, music theory, songwriting and the principles of sound healing. His workshops, lessons and private sessions draw upon both technical academic expertise and ancient spiritual knowledge passed down by elders of the traditions, including his teacher Maestro Manuel Rufino of the Golden Drum in New York.

Adrian regularly facilitates and takes part in healing retreats and workshops around the world, including service for hospitals, senior centers, and children’s programs. He is a passionate educator who understands that creativity and heart-centered self-expression are keys to a healthy life.

Adrian offers workshops on the principles of sound healing, opening your voice, guitar and music theory, meditation, song study, poetry/songwriting/composition, music for children, and psychophysical exercises (i.e. yoga/pranayama).

I am a professional drummer, guitar player, songwriter, and singer living in Rochester, NY.  In 2008 I graduated from the Eastman School of Music Jazz department, and have gone on to play, write, record, and teach Rock, Soul, Blues, Psychedelic Metal, Jazz, Latin, Musical Theater, and other types of music. 

I currently write original music and play drums for the neo-soul/early rock band Bellwether Breaks in Rochester.  My brother Pete Goebel and I also perform with our alt-country duo Arizona Ranger, and our Irish project the Genny Tall boys in which I sing, write, play guitar, and play the Irish bodhran.

Previous groups I've been a part of include The Dads, Abandoned Buildings Club, The Champales, The Swooners, Walri, The Dirty Birds, The Jerfs (San Francisco, CA), All of a Sudden (San Francisco, CA), and Hex Party (Athens, GA).

I play the parts using combinations of four guitars and an electric bass: Gibson L5, Fender Telecaster, classical nylon from a luthier named Nakade, steel-string acoustic from a luthier named Sauve, and a Fender Jazz Bass.  Any of my original tunes are freely available for download with the Creative Commons license.  If I didn't write the tune, I didn't make it available for download -- I want to respect intellectual property.

I’ve had the good fortune to study in the past with some excellent teachers: Don Mock (one of the original Guitar Institute of Technology, GIT, instructors); Jay Roberts (son of GIT founder Howard Roberts; GIT is now the Musicians Institute in LA); and, Rich Falco (Rich joined the music faculty of Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1979; Director of Jazz Studies.).

And, I've been able to attend some terrific clinics from guitar masters such as: Jim Hall, Pat Martino, John Schofield, Larry Coryell, Ulf Wakenius, Howard Alden, Frank Vignola, John Pisano, John Pizzarelli, Vic Juris, Corey Christiansen, Kevin Eubanks, and others.
