“The Acolyte’s Lament” is a ceremonial descent into the psyche of a devoted figure whose faith has fractured under the weight of silence and sacrifice. The acolyte, once bound to a sacred order, now stands at the edge of spiritual collapse — not in rebellion, but in mournful surrender.

His vows, once pure, have been consumed by the silence of a corrupted throne. The serpent becomes his guide, not as a tempter, but as a witness to his dissolution. Each verse is a step deeper into the void, where sacred law dissolves and only ash remains.

This piece is the first movement in a sovereign trilogy — followed by “The Oracle’s Silence” and “The Covenant of Ashes” — forming a complete arc of descent, detachment, and purification.

More than 25 years as a rookie on my belt
Making music - in my case - is a creative exercise and something I like to do for recreational purposes, above all.
I love that anyone can take a guitar, their DAW, or whatever. Even just pen and paper, and come up with something special and unique that has never been heard or written.
This opportunity, regardless of experience and talent, to enter a universe and go places no one has set foot before, is magic. 
To draw a parallel to soccer, Im a non-league player, and would get attention for all the wrong reasons if I were thrown into a match with Salah, Haaland and the like. Still, by finding my level I can be part of an amateur team that serves a purpose in a local community, like a social meeting spot for people who like football - or don't - to come together, get into talks through a comment on a situation in the match and such. And you know what's coolest of all? Once in a while, when the sun and moon line up, I`m on a streak with my evening prayers or for some other reason have my day, I make this amazing dribble, then score a spectacular goal, becoming the local hero of the day or something. Those moments happen on all levels. Chances are perhaps even better on lower levels for this dribble to never have been seen before, since amateur football is not as controlled and professionalised as La Liga, Premier League, etc, leaving much more room for experimentation and individual creativity.  
I bet you had a few of those moments yourself, right? Send me a sound file, - soccer being a metaphor after all -  of your magic moment, it being a victorious match full song or just this cool detail you like, perhaps a great lyric line, guitar riff, or even cover art, all goes, so I get the chance to enjoy it too, thanks in advance!

How sad to realize that we are in the last days of the human race. Meaning the final Composers, Artist & Performer are currently on this planet. Ai will be responsible for all the muzak within five years. They are weaning emotions out of music. 

We are humanity’s last breath. Let’s remind them future trans humans of what they lost. If they are ever allowed to hear it at all. We need to leave our Mark! 

My name is Dave Hanrahan. I was born and raised in Watertown, Massachusetts. I was the only son in a family of four children. At 7 years old my father was killed. I was the only son and now I would navigate my life rudderless. An alien in the house of estrogen. It was the weekend the Beatles played Ed Sullivan, February 9, 1964. Thus tying my life to theirs. Instant male role models. 

At 20, I was serving in the Navy. I was stationed at NAS Whidbey Island, Wa. In 1976. When I was heading into my barracks I heard someone playing Hotel California across from me. I met my mentor that day, Terry Walters. I bought a Yamaha 6 string acoustic guitar and one music book. The Beatles Compleat. I practice for hours upon hours. After a few months I wanted to try writing. On my first attempt I wrote 3 songs.  I believe I found patterns in playing only the Beatles for those first few years. I was off and running. 

I am a singer/songwriter from a different era. I had written close to 80 songs when I laid everything down to become a husband and a father in 1989. I laid it down because I desired a family more then anything in life, certainly more then fame.  My Guitar I had written the majority of those songs on was stolen and I walked away. 

In November of 2019, I unpacked my instruments after a 30 year hiatus. I bought a Taylor 12 String and began to earn my calluses. I wasn't certain if I could even recall the chords to most of my music. It was all in my head. I can't read or write a note to this day. Muscle memory I was happy to find is a fact even after 30 years. My musician friend Dean when I told him my 1977 Giannini Craviola 12 String got stolen in 1987. He asked me if I checked eBay. This is 32 years later. That is a rare guitar. I went on eBay that day and found it. It was my serial number. 

I began practicing countless hours a day for about six weeks when suddenly, a song popped into my head. It was in a style that even I was unfamiliar with. My Giannini and I picked up where We left off. Then Covid gave me more time to practice. I haven't stopped writing since that day just over three and a half years ago. I have well over 50 more songs to produce to ensure my entire catalog has been recorded. I have that many on my page for all to hear now for free.

To create a new Music Industry run and operated by Human Artists only. I am a Life Path 1, so have no doubt I will get it done or it’s artificial intelligence soulless Muzak for everybody. New artist are being ignored. This is by design. Music comes from the heart. Filled with emotions which A. I. The heartless, soulless machine with never be able to produce. Music is a force of creation given by The Creator. The Authentic Intelligence God. 

I am here to do a job, At my juncture in life I hope it obvious it isn’t for the fame and fortune. We are musicians and artists first and foremost. We are those who help steer the collective consciousness. I picked up this mantle in December of 1980. The night I wrote ‘Dear John’. 

Music is a force for creation.
